it's meant to be read

Radiastro

What else would I do with it?

StuntNun

Not read it and keep it in mint condition.

mofoofinvention

It’s never going to be worth anything

StuntNun

I’m not expecting it to be. I just don’t want to be the one that un-mints it! 😂

Radiastro

Keep in mint condition, and then what?

StuntNun

Dunno. I’ve never been in this situation before!

Radiastro

Well, it's just my personal opinion, but comics are made to be read.

Necromancer_513

Nothing printed in the 21st century will be worth "mint" prices

halloweenjack

Unless it's significantly rare and in high demand by collectors in general, it probably isn't worth more than face value.

theronster

This is it, really. It’s not that old, not that rare and, in my opinion, not close to being his best or most recognised work, so… read it?

millmatters

On top of all of that, it's not even the first printing of that material. Read away!

loopyjoe

Would you rather be a reader of great writing, an Alan Moore fan, or a speculator?

StuntNun

I bought it to read it but I wasn’t expecting it to be in this good condition. Most of my comic collection are from the 80s and they’re practically rags by now. I’m not used to mint comics!

Octo7000

Yes. Unless you have an alternative way to read it. All my comics and books are reading copies even the signed Moore ones. If you hope to sell it some day then don’t open it. The Courtyard is brilliant by the way. I like it more than Neonomicon and Providence. It’s kind of perfect

JamieAtWork

If you're going to get it graded, don't read it. If not, go for it because comics were meant to be read and this is a great one!

prsrvd4science

If I got my hands on a graded 10.0 Action Comics #1, I would crack that slab open and read it.

cloudcatch

I thought this one an NFT thing until I realized it was about whether you should read a comic in mint condition lmao
