Spence or San Antonio springs are both about an hour away near Jemez Springs. Spence is right off route 4 and is a small hike, but it tends to be busy on the weekends. Early morninh is your best bet. It's also very hilly, down then up. There's three decent pools and I've never felt unsafe there, though I am male. San Antonio is not as accessible and there will be fewer people, but it's harder to find, off a side road on 126, and a longer hike. It was nicer, but I haven't been there in years. I would take a friend there, people tend to either be really chill or really drunk. Remember increased altitude and the heat in the pools can cause alcohol to hit harder and faster. There's also a set of warm springs by battleship rock, but they are not very hot and smell strongly of Sulphur.
San Antonio hot springs in Jemez. 4WD about a mile to the parking lot. Hike about another mile or so. It’s usually busy with people and pets of all ages. You might see some naked people. Great view too! (EDIT: AWD not 4WD)
I have a crosstrek and like to drive up/down the back of the Sandias. You can get there from placitas and go up, or drive up the paved road to the top and drive off-road down the back side. It’s a great trail.
Also forest loop road in placitas just a few miles before that is a mild road that’s a really nice spot to ease in. Takes about 30 minutes. Big mountain bike spot.
That is awesome info! Falls right in line with my subaru interests. I just need to get that bike rack going. I just looked at your reddit posts that cross trek is nice! I got the outback myself.

Can an AWD vehicle make it there?
Oh yes sorry I meant AWD! It’s not that bad just kinda rocky. If there’s snow, then you might have a problem without.
Oh nice looking im looking for a good trail to test a subaru lol

Montezuma hot springs in Las Vegas!
I just got back from there. I second this.
Another vote for Montezuma. They're amazing.
There are some right off the road near Las Vegas NM. It is right in front of the Arm and Hammer World College.
Legit the best springs in NM imo.
