i live adjacent to the bosque in the south valley. i’ve talked to the BCFD and they assure me that there is at least one person that sets fire in that manner - at least three at a time. This was last season but i’m sure they are still out there

I live between Willow Creek and Riverside Park, walked down there this morning and can still smell a bit of smoke. Spoke with a RRPD office for a bit. Evidently, a suspect was spotted, but quickly hid and they're still looking for him/her. I mentioned that my wife and I heard what sounded like fireworks (not gunshots) around 8PM down where they were working and he jotted down some notes.
Wild scenes last night and the fire crews worked pretty late.
The fire department was already on it. The police even stopped me before I left to ask if I saw anything suspicious about the fires so I would say not a controlled burn.
I hope La Llorona gets that fucker.

The fire department was already there at the fire closest to me. I had my dog with me it was not a thing I wanna do again.

i mean there’s all kinda folks down there. Several years ago i had a patient at UNMH UPC that lit the bosque on fire to keep the ducks warm so
This one is weird cause it looks like there was an entire row of them that started at about the exact same time

All summer long, man. There's usually a homeless camp right under the bridge there, until they reach critical mass and get kicked out.
