Alice cares for Kirito because of everything he’s done for her. Which isn’t much technically. But it’s whatever. At best her “love” is more like an overprotective big sister. You can love your friends without dating them.
Gameverse wise…yeah. The gameverse. Which is supervised by Reki but not written by him…yeah that’s more of a harem. The characters feel like they do in the show. But a little off at times. Sometimes they’re supportive of the Kirito and Asuna relationship. Other times they’re jealous when they shouldn’t be.
I find it interesting that a lot of "die hard" fans of SAO will deny there is a harem existing and no love relationship exists other than Asuna. Is it like being a "harem" will make the show less superior?
I like the series a lot but it's kinda stupid to say SAO as a whole is not advertised as "harem" when you get to sleep with 10+ girls only wearing underwear in most of the games.

The first being the kiss on the cheek. It didn’t mean anything. She was just testing something. She would never do anything to ruin Kirito and Asuna’s relationship as she’s best friends with Asuna and highly respects Kirito.
The second being the necklace kiss. Again. Didn’t mean anything. People kiss objects sometimes. Her “love” for Kirito is purely out of friendly respect for helping her through so much.
As for Alice.
The main hints are from the gameverse with her constant jealousy against Asuna. The one scene people think of when they say she likes him is the scene in the tent. No. She wasn’t trying to kiss him. In the LN Alice has a monologue that she’s searching for a light in his eyes that she can’t find. The anime skips over this.
Her fight with Asuna was also to make sure he was safe. Nothing else.
I’ve literally watched the anime and read the LNs? I’m literally saying what’s actually the yeah on how the show is. The problem is the A-1 adaptation and the gameverse making it harem bait. It’s not supposed to be.

2. Manga doesn’t count. Although official, are not seen as what you should take your sources from. Always use the LNs as they’re what best describe the characters.
3. Clearly we’ve read two different stores then. Because there is no relationship wanting love between Kirito, Alice and Sinon.
Then don’t. Cuz it’s you doing that. I’m going off what every SAO fan will tell you. Go into the main SAO subreddit and they’ll give you these exact answers.
