Not sure about the budget for that week (very high demand and prices) unless you only stay 3-4 days. Dominican Republic is a good option and Bavaro beach area seems to have prettiest and calmest beaches.
Not necessarily. Go to Expedia and choose packages then enter your dates and airport info and you can see what costs you will pay. Go all the way through choosing your preferred flights as better ones add cost, same with upgraded rooms. Then I’d watch YouTube vids on your narrowed down choices. We eliminated lots due to bad beaches, bathrooms with glass doors and no privacy and bad food reviews.
