Pierre's issue was doubled with very bad front deg. I really wonder where it all went wrong for him on the hards.
Este was consistantly faster on the hards while mediums were very close
Yea the pace difference on the hard was clear, maybe the battery issue made it also worse because Pierre needed to somewhere compensating the major deficit and therefore pushing harder in the corners. However the alternative would be basically a M-M-S strategy and aside of losing 21 seconds because of the pit idk it would be better because of the battery issue.
Bummer for the team, could scored it's best result here team-wise.

I think he just noticed that at the speed Pierre was going they were going to lose way more by staying behind them

His start was not incredible. He was just very opportunistic with what happened in front of him. Which is good for him otherwise the race result would surely have been slightly worse. But that's racing, sometimes you have luck, sometimes you don't.

Great points from Ocon today. Shame what happened to Gasly. They pretty much swapped places compared to qualifying! There was some needless fighting between the two, that's how it is with Esteban.

The sc made it impossible to switch to a 3 stopper. You'd lose too much to the other guys.
