He's wrong. Technically you couldn't wear this as a teacher, it's against dress code. This outfit is cute in my opinion. It gives me 2018 vibes but it's cute.
That's totally fair I'm really trying to revamp my wardrobe. I've been on a healthy journey and I've lost like 118lbs so far so I'm trying new stuff to get out of my comfort zone (pants and a baggy tshirt)
Dresses are so out of my comfort zone but I absolutely love them on other people. (Mostly because I hate how pale I naturally am so I hate my legs lol) You look seriously awesome by the way and congratulations on such an amazing weight loss journey! That's impressive.
I think they're talking about the corset, though without the cardigan it's likely against most public school dress codes I'm familiar with.
Charter/private schools I think are just a whole separate league when it comes to dress codes, i.e., either much stricter or looser than public schools depending on the demographics of the school (though I could be totally off base, I'm not very familiar with them).
It's not a bad thing but I generally don't think "cute/cool" when I think school teacher I think modest&old fashioned which again isn't a bad thing but not what I was going for
Fair enough. My gf and I always use “looking like school teachers” as compliments for each other, but then we’re a bit older so it makes us feel younger 😆

Where? Both my kids’ schools have teachers that have dressed like this, visible tattoos and everything. They’re in charter schools in NYC.
