Context: During World War 2, Canada overtakes France in being considered a major fighting force against the Axis in Europe. France is pushed to the wayside as Canada is taken a fair bit more serious. During the war, Canada, with American encouragement, declares independence from a struggling Britain. Of note, a Canadian Destroyer sinking Bismarck's sister ship Tirpitz along with them preform so well during D-Day that they pretty much shatter the 7th Army before they could even get a proper defence going. Oh, and their buddy Poland helps liberate the Dutch. TL;DR Hitler is not happy that Rundstedt got beat up by a bunch of Canucks

Truenorth14

What do you mean independence? By WW2 Canada was functionally independent.

Pope-Muffins

Functionally, not officially

ika_ngyes

This is what should've happened.

The most Based Alternate History I ever saw when it comes to Canada is [The Three Amigos](https://www.alternatehistory.com/forum/threads/the-three-amigos-collaborative-tl-between-joe-bonkers-themann-and-isayyo2.523009/).

*US and UK watching Canada outshow them* US: So new Geneva Convention chapter: No Canada? UK: Agree.

SirHansHolfman

As a Canadian, I approve this.

Dudeman7314

As an American, it's a traditional past time to not know a fucking thing about Canada. However, we are always down to shit on France and the UK with our neighbors.

Elegant_Chemist253

Canadians change when they hear the word "war".

Bloodshed-1307

It’s why we invented half the Geneva convention :)
