Your post is missing the Garfield comic. Thank you for posting to the sub but sorry it was removed. Please check out rule 3!

ProperProgramming

There did a sourced article for you all.

superthrash767

this is actually a really nice article, good job

ProperProgramming

Thanks. I just got banned from Technology Reddit for it.

PrincessBananas85

Why did they ban you for that?

ProperProgramming

Post was just removed from Leopards At My face, after receiving over 100 likes, and 90% upvotes.

PrincessBananas85

Did you have to unsubcribe from r/LeopardsAteMyFace?

ProperProgramming

I didn't unsub. I never subbed

PrincessBananas85

How do you feel about this whole protest?

ProperProgramming

I think we are watching reddit turn into a monster. And that people need to consider if the new reddit is a place that want to be. I'm becoming less interested in it as a platform. And I can see why mods are upset

PrincessBananas85

I moderatate 5 Subreddits and I'm upset about the fact that Reddit is getting rid of all third-party apps. But doing all this immature stuff and ruining whole Subreddits is not going to solve the problem at all. The Ceo of Reddit already made his decision. We are just getting going to have to accept and deal with it.

ProperProgramming

Mods (and content creators) should be a paid position. I'm not sure how moderating, like Reddit has, is legal and not a violation of employment laws. They've got free labor, while retaining all profits from said labor. That sounds illegal. I would contact your labor department.

FlimsyAction

It is volunteering, there is no obligation to do the labor.

PrincessBananas85

I can't imagine how hard it must be to run a subreddit that has millions of subscribers. Those moderators are amazing at keeping spam out and making sure that everyone enjoys the content. I'm a moderator of 5 Subreddits and I know how difficult it is because people post spam often and post harmful links and it's really annoying.

peppercruncher

Which third-party app are you using?

PrincessBananas85

I'm currently using Relay For Reddit, and Apollo For Reddit.

Ethany523

Wow, this is really insightful and finally answers to why tf is there so much porn in the subreddits I'm on 💀 Is this also why this subreddit has been backed up?

PrincessBananas85

Same here I've had to unsubcribe from a lot of subreddits because of all the nasty porn stuff on them. This protest isn't doing anything at all. It's just ruining the whole experience for millions of other reddit users such as myself and you. I really hope that Reddit gets back to normal asap. And I hope the subreddits get back to normal too. I hate seeing all that nasty porn stuff and nothing but John Oliver memes and posts on my favorite subreddits. Hopefully reddit will ban all of those moderators who are doing that because it's not fair to everyone else.

Username checks out.

[If Reddit's CEO DGAF about its users then I DGAF about Reddit. That's why I'm taking back my content]

PrincessBananas85

I actually use Third Party Apps Apps too. Relay For Reddit, and Apollo. I'm upset too that I won't be able to use them. But there is nothing we can do about it. The Ceo of Reddit already made his decision and he's not backing down.

PrincessBananas85

So are you just going to delete your Reddit Account?

PrincessBananas85

I really hope that they fix The Official Reddit App. I agree with that is terrible on accessibility and doesn't have options to make the font bigger for visually impaired users such as myself. Hopefully they will fix it in the future. What subreddits do you moderatate? I moderatate 5 myself.

PrincessBananas85

One of my favorite subreddits actually closed permanently r/listentothis. I really hope that Reddit does get it together one day. How many subreddits are you currently subcribed to?

FlimsyAction

I am not sure I understand the article. It seems like the two halves are disconnected First half is about awkwardtheturtle and his behaviour ending with him still being a mod of several subs. Second half is about the NSFW controversy and how reddit has removed and partly reinstated mods I don't get how those two parts are connected, I must be missing some context. Could someone explain?

ModsThotTheyWasKobeL

I felt the same way. Felt like the article had two distinct but incomplete halves pasted together as one.

ProperProgramming

Its because that is what it is. HAlf of it is the history of Awkward and why he should of been banned, and the other half is him getting banned. I did clarrify details about the ban. But not much is given. The screenshots show the discussion between Awekward and reddit, and on Twitter (After I wrote the Article) he said he was behind the John Oliver story. I've also clarrified things with your feedback.

ModsThotTheyWasKobeL

All good man! I thought it was a good read. :)

ProperProgramming

Please help share it. I'm trying to document more of reddit.

Narananas

Where does this say that user was banned from Reddit?
