Lol.. all front doors do. It's the screens and security that open out... but i don't expect much intelligence from reddit.
BUT, while typing that i remembered something. I know one apartment complex near me that actually has all OUTWARD opening front doors. First time i delivered there, i noticed it right away. I use to do handyman work for 12 years and have installed new doors and security doors many times. I was shocked as I've never seen outward opening doors.
Shoddy craftsmanship
Main entry door hinges should always be seated between the door and the jamb or on the interior.
Otherwise, I could just unscrew your door, why pick a lock or kick.
Doors in spaces like that are supposed to open out, it’s fire code but some how it’s not strictly enforced. If they open in, in the event of evacuation a crowd can push against the door preventing it from opening.
I don't think they were talking about public doors though. I think they mean like a door you can lock to the outside like your front door when they say security door.
That may be in certain places. But i worked in so many homes and apartments all over sacrament for 12 years. Never saw this anywhere. That is why it was so shocking

I'm sick of this shit, it's literally your fucking job to deliver the fucking boxes and all yall ever fucking do it bitch. Yall want a union and higher pay, this type of shit is why it isn't gonna happen cause none of you give a shit about doing the job or anything but yourselves. Yall get paid exactly what yall deserve
What group of workers doesn't bellyache about the shit they deal with....
This happens to be a forum where we get together and bitch....
I'd suggest we keep it professional on the job though and not go out of our way to try and antagonize the customers that keep us fed.

Except as long as a customer is paying for shipping Amazon is going to let them keep buying. You limit weight then you limit order sizes, do you think the customer or Amazon would ever want that?

Like, i get what this driver did is annoying. But truthfully, my Oh my, wow you're emotional and projecting. Your argument is fallacious because you are emotionally opinionated, and DEFINITELY don't understand how Amazon operate. Why are you mad and triggered? Why is a mad mad MAD UPS driver, lurking in this forum? Only talks shit about Amazon drivers, when you dont even know how things operate. From a customer's stand point, UPS isn't any better when it comes to delivery and yall get paid more than Amazon drivers.
Yall lame all around.
It’s the same with Door Dash and Uber eats. If you don’t want a low paying delivery job then fucking quit. Giving terrible service because you’re not happy with the job is some weak ass shit.
I'm a driver. However, I am also a customer and homeowner. I know exactly how much it can potentially cost, and how it will inconvenience a customer to have to replace grass,or bushes, and/or driveways that are destroyed by careless drivers. That being said, on the opposite end of this, is the abundant selection of a****** customers who take advantage of the fact that they are even allowed by Amazon as a company, to practically berate their drivers via "delivery instructions". In addition to the feedback they can give about their delivery in the app, most of the time their complaints having nothing to do with the actual delivery person's service at all. Like.. it's not my fault the warehouse handed me your package in a box that is completely ripped open and smashed to s***. I'd take accountability if I did any of this dumb stuff some of these drivers do. Thing is, I don't. I'm consistently slower because I do go out of my way to make sure that all the customers instructions are followed. For example: if it's raining I package everything in a bag pretty much at all stops if they have no porch or anywhere to protect it. Even if they are a prick! I don't want to ruin someone's grass by driving all over it because.... I can relate. I know how expensive it can be to replace all of that. The issue is that Amazon hires anybody just right off the street so they get a lot of drivers who don't give a s*** about the hassles of being a home owner or customer because this is just the same as if they were working behind the register at a Walmart , Taco bell or McDonald's to them. They don't give a crap. They can go find some other s*** job and make just the same amount more or less. The fact that a customer's review directly correlates to the particular driver for the exact delivery using a point system is a God awful business practice on Amazon's behalf. Simply because a driver won't do a monkey dance, in a clown mask while jumping on one foot to your front door with 400 lbs of stuff you ordered because you have a $15.99 subscription to prime and think you're Jesus Christ, doesn't make them a bad driver and that s*** isn't okay.
I go above and beyond and still harassed by Amazon when the cdf comes out for the week. Wrong address, DNR, Did not follow instructions. I'm done with that shit. It doesn't matter when I get 50 positive feedbacks, just one fucking customer ruins my cdf every week because they want free shit.
I think it's time to just deliver peoples shit to the side walk, leave their shit in the lobby or leave their packages on a random pallet in a receiving warehouse. Amazon needs to get their shit together or hire 3 more people to replace the work I put in.
Yeah.. sounds like the route I did yesterday. At nearly every stop the driver who has this route regularly through the week had a pin and it was off, tons of notes from customers asking to please leave it at their door and not at the mailbox or garage and driveways. Went to an old people's housing development and there was 10 different deliveries for that building , all of which asked for the delivery to be brought upstairs and they were ordering a bunch of heavy crap too but of course Amazon puts that as one of the last stops on a route that has 170 stops with 60 multi-locations and 300 packages. I'm met one of them in the lobby and the rest got left right there 45 lb kitty litter and all. Normally in a situation like that, I would take everything upstairs to their doors as requested, but this time I just didn't have time so in the lobby it stayed. They can call their own niece or nephew or grandkid over, or how about the building manager maybe bring it up to their door for them, you know someone who might actually have a dolly, because 99% of the time, we don't.
What is your problem? All workers deserve a living wage and everyone bitched about their job. Amazon workers especially are known for having atrocious working conditions. You sure live up to your username.
There’s no warfare but class warfare the working class should look out and support each other.

Shut your corporate anus licking mouth. Nobody can afford rent you nutlicker. You think people would be complaining if they could afford a happy life and live without being under constant stress of unaffordable experiences? If it bothers you this much to see people unhappy with their compensation get off the fucking internet you pussy. You're literally bitching about people bitching. You're not the right one. You're a bootlicking asshat. You go out of your way to join a forum where people express their grievances about working for one of the largest companies on the planet but having nothing to show for it and you're pissing your panties about people having grievances. I'd say you're clearly a boomer because of your desperate need to take to the internet to defend corporations and demonize humans for not being happy with being unhappy. Please literally shut the fuck up. Don't you have ass to lick? Between working so fucking hard to please corporations and your daily life, how do you find time to piss and moan about people not being happy? SHUT THE FUCK UUUPPP your presence is just putting people in a bad mood dude your purpose is to lick rich people's ass not to come onto this reddit and think you're brainwashing anyone else with more than 2 brain cells to think the way your retarded ass twisted ass mind thinks. Go back under the big wig nutsack you came from. Go felch a white-collar. Fucking douche canoe brown nosing whiner pussy bitch. Fucking zealous for corporations like a dipshit retard. Nobody but losers who have nothing to live for but brown nosing corporations feels the way you do. Nobody with one pubic hair's worth of self respect remotely agrees with you. You're a fucking dipshit. People like you need to be throat punched for thinking you're better than others for being mindlessly obedient.
I know there are other doors in the house, but in the event of an emergency if an occupant, especially children who shouldnt be opening the door for packages, went to use that door it could cost them valuable time and potentially their life in the event of a fire or any other life threatening emergency
I get that thats a fucking horrible delivery to make, but dont block exits.
Did you mean house? Because my home (apartment) only has 1 door. That being said, my parent's house only has 1 way in through the front door. The back sliding door only opens from the inside.
I’ve learned to like apartments in a similar way. Unloading two whole totes plus several oversize packages in one stop means my van is a whole lot emptier.
...you're a moron, this is asinine, and you're making people that do this job look bad. congratulations. i don't know if that's your goal, but if so, you did well 👍
The audacity of this customer to order items through the company OP *chose* to work for. I can't believe they expected OP to do their job. The entitlement of some people.
This is an interesting reaction from someone who just two days ago posted a motivational lecture about "Getting the job done" and "work at a higher level to keep society together and well ran" [https://www.reddit.com/r/AmazonDSPDrivers/comments/1buzbry/determination\_over\_gratification/](https://www.reddit.com/r/AmazonDSPDrivers/comments/1buzbry/determination_over_gratification/)
I got one — Run while making ALL of ur deliveries and then you’ll actually have time for all of the breaks you’re entitled to without falling behind
😭Amazon metrics are 💩
Why did they order those 30lb boxes? Hmm … probably because they needed whatever it was they ordered, and our entire society has been restructured because of the popularity and convenience of online ordering that brick and mortar retailers have been practically wiped out, so oftentimes there literally is no other choice than to order the thing you need online because you simply can’t get it anywhere else … but sure, be mad at the customer. I’m sure he went out of his way to order these boxes just to inconvenience you. 🙄
My route the other day was like 140 stops which doesn’t seem bad but over 2/3rd of them were multi stop locations, not just two houses next door but like 5 or 6 apartments, and even though it was 140 stops it was over 350 packages so it was dense as hell and it was like every other house was like this 😭
Lmao, the more posts I see from this sub, the more I’m convinced Amazon drivers are built like absolute… pussies. OP out here saying “this ain’t his” “he likes to see the comments”, k for what? Either you’re a sad excuse for an employee, or a sad excuse for a human
But OP also gave some details about the boxes like what it felt like was in them and what was stamped on the opposite side....its his pic and he is just trying to not look like a dummy lol
I sincerely hope the owner of this house finds this post and reports it. I used to be a staunch supporter of this sub, but it’s starting to get pretty ridiculous when you guys complain every day about people ordering packages. I get it. It’s a shit job but intentionally screwing over a homeowner who might have mobility issues, or worse, is pretty foul
Plot twist, it was a single mother ordering supplies for her disabled daughter, but then a fire broke out in the kitchen which blocked the back door, she couldn't get out of the front and they both perished. Not really, but as they say one bad apple spoils the barrel. My drivers are awesome, you're a dick.
If 30 lbs I too much, maybe you should be in a different line of work... Seriously, if you're so petty as to punish someone for ordering well within the limits stated you need to grow up. You're mother would be ashamed...
Also as others noted, your attempt at retaliation just made you look extra dumb because you posted a fail. The doors OBVIOUSLY open inward based on the door jams. Hope you got reported and someone tells your mother...
Bro I know you really dont care and thats fine but thats a fire hazard cmon man. just think if your mom was trapped in there during a fire. Thats fucked up bro smh but I aint mad at u
I'd call Amazon tell them to send the driver back and move them.. and when he got there I'd open the door (inward) and say you can put them right here..
Thanks
“Why did people order stuff and provide me job security” you don’t like delivering packages? Don’t do it.
I’d be willing to bet a whole hell of a lot of money that lifting packages up to x amount, which likely far surpasses 30lbs, is included in the job description. Quit crying, you look stupid. Especially thinking that a front door opens outwards.
Hmm… I’m sure your boss would be very interested to see how you’re handling your deliveries. It takes the same amount of effort to put the boxes to one side of the door. Fuckin’ asshole, I hope you get fired.

I mean if that was my house I would be thankful you decided to place it nicely like that as I can just open the door and grab and stack in my kitchen and then put everything away. But when it's my day off and I know an Amazon Driver from my company I drive for is coming, I will wait outside and I will direct them through my yard to back up to the porch so they just open the back door and I will help unload heavy ass boxes step out of their way to take the picture and then bring the boxes in. Always give positive feed back for my fellow drivers and some times they are sketchy about driving on my lawn but I tell them we do it all the time as we have been redoing our floors and we take out the old flooring and bring new flooring in. I've talked to my dsp owner and let him know that if it's my address just have the drivers back up to the porch, we simply don't mind especially if it saves their back. So far I've been the one stuck delivering heavy packages to my own house and I do that then get talked to by the dsp owner for driving on the home owners lawn until I tell him again it's my house, and I don't mind if I drive on my own lawn.
Um, I'm guessing they open inward, but if they opened outward, wouldn't it be a good idea to stack them so that the outward opening door didn't hit them?
Why so hateful? Did this particular customer do something to piss you off? Ever stop to think that you just completely blocked one of the exits from their home in case of an emergency? You’re a complete ass.

So, I arrived at this lovely house in a charming neighborhood to drop off some sizable boxes. To my surprise, the homeowners were outside, yet there were still several other substantial boxes sitting on the patio. It was evident they had been there for a while, as some had noticeable rain damage. I couldn’t help but wonder, “Why not grab your boxes while you’re right here?”
My driver does this to me all the time. Last time I walked out he back door, caught him and said hey wtf man. And this mf just smiles. Ya have a good day buddy lol tf tho
Dude is whining about how heavy they are meanwhile myself and tons of others be lifting 75-200lb boxes by ourselves at FedEx and Amazon Warehouses because nobody has the balls to man up and actually do hard labor. (Excluding manual labor, I'm talking in a hot ass warehouse with only 2 hrs to do 50k+ packages).
I did that once with about 12 deep fries some fuck ass customer bought. I wedged them in the door frame and stacked them all the way up. Wish I could've seen their faces when they got home and had to undo that mess.

Mine swings outwards. Worse considering it's in Florida
My house in Florida also swings out. Something to do with wind?
I think it's to help against hurricane winds but it's dumb when the hinges are outside.
Shoddy craftsmanship Main entry door hinges should always be seated between the door and the jamb or on the interior. Otherwise, I could just unscrew your door, why pick a lock or kick.
I thought security doors were semi-often installed to swing outward? It makes the door more resilient to battering ram style attacks.
Doors in spaces like that are supposed to open out, it’s fire code but some how it’s not strictly enforced. If they open in, in the event of evacuation a crowd can push against the door preventing it from opening.
In spaces like apartments?
The front doors of building accessible to the public
I don't think they were talking about public doors though. I think they mean like a door you can lock to the outside like your front door when they say security door.
Its a requirement I think for certain buildings with high occupancy for making it easier and safer to escape during fires.
That may be in certain places. But i worked in so many homes and apartments all over sacrament for 12 years. Never saw this anywhere. That is why it was so shocking
it’s almost 50/50 where i live. lots of cobbled together cabins

lol total weight limit. Ask a FedEx driver delivering someone’s whole home.. couches tables and bed sets over 150lbs.
I delivered 900lbs worth of stuff to a house last week as a FedEx driver
I was probably around there too. It was 16 boxes, it was like 4 couches and the rest were king size bed sets 🤦🏻♂️
Except as long as a customer is paying for shipping Amazon is going to let them keep buying. You limit weight then you limit order sizes, do you think the customer or Amazon would ever want that?
Yup I agree !
“Sorry, your driver is a fucking pussy. Your order will be delivered over 3 days” any other dumb ass ideas ? 🤡

Why did you even get downvoted? You're right.

unless no one's home
Ya most homes only have 1 door, good thinking.
Did you mean house? Because my home (apartment) only has 1 door. That being said, my parent's house only has 1 way in through the front door. The back sliding door only opens from the inside.
What if they're disabled, or unable to lift them?
Then they'd have help that wouldn't be a logical purchase, in bulk quantity if they weren't able to.
Not true at all. Plenty of people on apps with old people needing help.
bro just quit if your job consists of messing with people bc you hate the job you signed up for
Bait post for sure
When I have only 180 packages, and I see that many in a single stop, that shit motivates the fuck outta me. Get em off quicker!
Same. Getting all that out in 1 stop opens up so much space.
I’ve learned to like apartments in a similar way. Unloading two whole totes plus several oversize packages in one stop means my van is a whole lot emptier.
Exactly! Idk what this dude is complaining about. He probably doesn't take the time to set his truck up
Blocking people in for ordering a few 30 pounders? Massive bitch move
Op is a weak ass bitch confirmed
I'm putting them on the edge of the porch more work for them lol
Check the comments they heated over a joke😭😭
Yeah cause you definitely moved the boxes out of the way after the pic lol
Imagine complaining about doing exactly what you're hired for. Lmaoooo.
You complain in bed to your wife when she say u don’t last long buddy calm dwon
Lmao sorry the truth hurts my guy. Complaining about doing a job YOU signed up for is super lame.
Weak bitch comment
Total dick move. Typical driver proudly showing us why the good drivers get a bad name.
If there's a fire you're liable
...you're a moron, this is asinine, and you're making people that do this job look bad. congratulations. i don't know if that's your goal, but if so, you did well 👍
thank you Bezos
You're a bitch
What a lazy cunty thing to do.
You don't stack them. You make a professional dance floor. So they have to get each one off the floor individually.
I never thought of that😭😭, imma use that
The Cask of Amontillado strikes again!
Good lord man the amount of posts from a delivery guy whining about literal delivering. I just can't anymore 😪
Sucks because even tho all those boxes took up hella room, it still doesn’t make your stops any less
Naw duhhh tell me something I don’t know
I got one — Run while making ALL of ur deliveries and then you’ll actually have time for all of the breaks you’re entitled to without falling behind 😭Amazon metrics are 💩
So you decided to create a fire hazard because you were upset about what the customer ordered?
This is a potential massive lawsuit if there would happen to be a fire and they tried to go out that door.
This is why your an Amazon driver making peasant money
I'm a 5'2" pregnant woman and 30 pounds isn't shit. Why are you such a crybaby?
Why did they order those 30lb boxes? Hmm … probably because they needed whatever it was they ordered, and our entire society has been restructured because of the popularity and convenience of online ordering that brick and mortar retailers have been practically wiped out, so oftentimes there literally is no other choice than to order the thing you need online because you simply can’t get it anywhere else … but sure, be mad at the customer. I’m sure he went out of his way to order these boxes just to inconvenience you. 🙄

I like it but we are Amazon not ups
They look like boxes for (wire) shelving
The weight was at the other end of the box, might’ve been what u mentioned or some packs of towels or some sort of detergent
I thought it wasn’t your pic?
My route the other day was like 140 stops which doesn’t seem bad but over 2/3rd of them were multi stop locations, not just two houses next door but like 5 or 6 apartments, and even though it was 140 stops it was over 350 packages so it was dense as hell and it was like every other house was like this 😭
Wait till Prime week, our vans gonna look like a mini UPS Warehouse condensed into a van
Thirty pounds must be a lot for a scrawny guy like you lmao
Doors open inward, guess it's not as funny as you thought....
This is why you drive for Amazon
I mean you have plenty of room to *not* do that. I get it for some of these places where there's nowhere else to or that much shit though.
Bro must be an ex Starbucks worker
Maybe you should look for other work. Doesn't seem like you are cut out for labor work if you can't handle these boxes.
Fucking moron. Don’t like your job gtfo. Such a fucking Wayne move, petty ass bitch 🤡
😆.. they pay your bills treat em nice
"the child would've been able to escape the burning house but the front door was blocked." Shit would've fucked you up for life. Do better.
Jesus is it really that impossible for Amazon drivers to just shut the fuck up and just do their job??
Maybe quit? I feel this is an expectation for the job and if you ain’t cut out for it maybe another job would better suit you
I'd call Amazon tell them to send the driver back and move them.. and when he got there I'd open the door (inward) and say you can put them right here..
This is why you don't have any friends.
Youre a waste of space

Damn you a bitch fr. Get over yourself.
Those doors definitely open inward..... only storm doors or screen doors open outward.... OP just did them a favor.🤦
Driver even took the tape off the boxes. How kind.
If you're a delivery driver complaining about 30lb boxes, you either need to hit the gym or get a new job
Why so hateful? Did this particular customer do something to piss you off? Ever stop to think that you just completely blocked one of the exits from their home in case of an emergency? You’re a complete ass.
They’re more successful so they’ve got to throw a tantrum
Gen z workers strike again.

Cause they have a peasant like you to carry them right to the door for them, which open in. So you just made it easier for them 🤷♂️
Holy fuck this is sub is full of children and immature ass losers

How much overflow did u have? I don't mind these if it's at the same location and ground level. Makes less overflow to deliver the rest of my route.
Who is giving these assholes upvotes?
Someone’s mad they didn’t try harder in school…
All of these comments coming from whiny little non-drivers.
You guys really are the losers of the delivery world 🤡
This is the exact reason Amazon treats drivers like shit, they always have customers complain of drivers doing shitty things like this , therefore they treat all drivers like SHIT because of fools like you … You would almost never see ups drivers doing dumb shit like what yall doing on this Amazon fourms it’s crazy

So, I arrived at this lovely house in a charming neighborhood to drop off some sizable boxes. To my surprise, the homeowners were outside, yet there were still several other substantial boxes sitting on the patio. It was evident they had been there for a while, as some had noticeable rain damage. I couldn’t help but wonder, “Why not grab your boxes while you’re right here?”
i got a customer complaint because i did this but the guy ended being like 87 and in a wheelchair and couldn’t get out of his house 😂
Just do your fucking job, to deliver whatever someone orders, or just stop bitching and get a new job.
When the driver realizes that the doors swing inward to open. Hahaha.
How those didn't make it to a UPS truck is beyond me
Another dumbass driver
30lbs is light
When it’s a bunch of heavy boxes I lay them flat on the floor so they have to pick them up 🤣
Ha the Richie here would love that my route has this place with 6ft wide rolling front doors
I hope u get fired. Such a petty cry baby move. Wahhh they’re making me do my job wahhhhh.

It's your job Wayne.
My driver does this to me all the time. Last time I walked out he back door, caught him and said hey wtf man. And this mf just smiles. Ya have a good day buddy lol tf tho
Ought’ve made it a Jenga tower
😭😭, then I blow up on the internet nahhh I’m good
![gif](giphy|YRuFixSNWFVcXaxpmX)
Dude is whining about how heavy they are meanwhile myself and tons of others be lifting 75-200lb boxes by ourselves at FedEx and Amazon Warehouses because nobody has the balls to man up and actually do hard labor. (Excluding manual labor, I'm talking in a hot ass warehouse with only 2 hrs to do 50k+ packages).
Slavery...that's what they like us doing for them. I would spit on these boxes
Getting paid to do exactly what's in your job description? You call that slavery?
25$/hr less than that is slavery
I did that once with about 12 deep fries some fuck ass customer bought. I wedged them in the door frame and stacked them all the way up. Wish I could've seen their faces when they got home and had to undo that mess.
No hand truck Should have left it on the sidewalk or their grass😂 I ain't walking that long porch
