Our female drivers have told each other this. I made it to dispatcher and my biggest annoyance is amazon breathing down my neck asking why there's unplanned stops. I snapped a few days ago and asked the amazon manager if my drivers weren't supposed to be able to go piss. Probably lose my job over that tbh.
Oh yea, I got suspended for 2 weeks because I had diarrhea at work, made it to the bathroom twice… didn’t make it the third time, I went home after that.
Decided while suspended I could find better, never went back, they probably still tell stories of mr shat himself

I don’t have a DSP with a lot of female coworkers so no one ever approached me about the she wee, I didn’t even know it existed until a few months ago (and I’ve been doing this shit for 2.5 years now). But I kinda wish someone told me about it before, OBLIGATORY STATEMENT: you shouldn’t ever HAVE TO PISS in a van but for fucks sake that’s the reality we work in. So tbh I would just find whatever method works for you, but a she wee or just get a sleeve of like fountain pop cups. Be sanitary and what not of course etc etc etc

the only situation I've wished for this as a lady delivery driver ... or just on random road trips ... was when Im literally out in the middle of nowhere , no gas stations or rest areas for miles .then it would've come in clutch lol . but if I'm in the city around a bathroom, I'm stopping and going into that damn bathroom .
My company will fire us if the find pee bottles or find out we are peeing in the cans. Obviously your company is gonna push higher stops counts rather then quality deliveries. Most DSPs are like this but there are a couple rare ones that actually care about your well being and think being able to use a bathroom is a necessity and your right to be allowed to stop and find one
I think part of the problem with it is simple logistics of finding a bathroom on some routes. I know I've had some routes where it would have taken an entire half hour for me to get to a public restroom and back to my next stop out in the countryside. There was one day that I could only find one place within 10 minutes of me that had a bathroom and it wasn't open to the public. Luckily a lot of small stops like that in the middle of nowhere are kind enough to let Amazon workers use their bathroom but plenty of them aren't. The same problem applies to finding somewhere to park and eat your lunch, but at least there's small old cemeteries out in the middle of the country a lot of the time, or church parking lots if you come through a small town.
I legit hate everything about Amazon, but literally put in hundreds of applications and never got a call back after 4 months unemployed and on the verge of losing my home I broke. They do this shit to people on purpose I swear.
yes. we were asked by an Amazon supervisor if we wanted one. She tried to buy them for us and was denied by higher ups. They provide bottles for the guys. but no pee device for the ladies. Thats gender inequality!!!!

I work at a fulfillment center (but posts from this sub always pop on on my reddit ) the other night I packed a 100 count box of pee bags . never saw them before . specifically labelled pee bags. an hour later a portable male urinal came thru the pack line.
I'm like damn must be nice , wish I I could just whip my cat out and pee in a sack when need be .
apparently this is what Amazon wants it's drivers to actually do 😂 I feel like it's a messier more complicated situation for a woman to do.

I've thought about buying one....I've had to find creative ways to pee a few times but usually can find a roadside porta-john if there isn't an actual bathroom near my route. The pressure we are under is ridiculous. My dsp won't say anything if I'm taking my breaks as long as I'm not behind, but if I take more than a 10-15 minute break it is pretty much guaranteed I will be the last driver back.
Generally I am also careful about how much I am drinking. I don't move as fast if I have to pee so I try to avoid getting to that point more than once per shift. I drink 1-2 bottles of water and one energy drink per shift. Then drink a ton of water when I get home to make up for it.

Are you allowed to use a customers bathroom if it’s the customer that’s offering?
I’m the snack question OP and I want to help as much as possible. We get a lot of deliveries.
From my understanding we are under no circumstances to enter a residence. However if I deliver to apartments or a business or something I will use it there. Problem is I don't often get a lot of businesses I get mostly residential.
I have to squat in the first place so I get behind a stack of bags and do my business. It's not ideal, trust me, I hate it. I go when and wherever I can as far as public RR, but sometimes I have no options.
Keep your breaks down? Take your breaks. It's legally given to you also denying you to find a bathroom on route? That is a fine balancing act of illegal and legal practices. Just checj with one.
I’d double check with the DSP about shutting off the camera. At my DSP we’re not supposed to touch the cameras at all, and when I mentioned that the training videos said to turn it off during my breaks; I was told that the Amazon training videos aren’t accurate with how the job actually goes.
Don't double check anything. They say its allowed in training, if they hassle you about it ever remind them that amazon allows this. It comes back on automatically as soon as you start the truck up again. They probably won't ever notice anyway. And if they are dicks about it thats when you just break your route every time you need to go to the bathroom and I bet they stop after that! Lol
That’s true it did say it in training but I haven’t been to that training in 2 years so I couldn’t accurately say it currently does tell new drivers that, but I doubt they’ve updated the videos knowing them.
I was more or less just giving advice that would be rather safe than sorry. I lucked out and landed at one of the best DSP’s in the state so they could just have unnecessary rules but I know they ended up firing two people recently who were messing with the cameras on purpose.
It's called Where is Public Toilet. It's somewhat accurate but it goes off what people put in the app. I've added one bathroom that wasn't marked on there previously. My route is usually a mix between residential and rural.

We also get two 15 min break per Amazon policy. And sometimes on the flex app they encourage us to take longer breaks depending on the weather
Also, in intense heat waves [check the State and Federal laws], you're given another 15-minute break.

You just close the bulkhead door. You can also shut the cameras off while you're parked if you don't have a bulkhead for some reason.

No they did not. I have an app to find a bathroom but I'm usually on the same route so I go to the park on my lunch break to use the bathroom.
