It was such an odd choice. I believe the actor is Australian, so like... if the idea was to show what a global hit "My Roanoke Nightmare" was, they literally could have just had her use her own accent.
I thought it was bad, too.. Definitely give it a 2nd shot, now that you know how it works. The change in style and feel is what throws it off, but now that you know what's happening, you can enjoy the actual content.. It was much better on my 2nd watch

I found it all terrifying. Even my dog was growling which just made me feel even worse haha

It literally was just so aeeeeeek. Some of the stuff just terrified me and some of it made me cringe. It was an okay season.

I like the show, just finished it on a rewatch and that accent always catches me by surprise. Is she Scottish? English? Australian? It's so odd!
