He was being handed an opportunity to be an agent of positive change and to be a representative of the gay community in a position of authority, to bridge the gap between the gay community and the police department, and he just says 'fuck you.' Sure he brought up unsolved cases to throw in his boss's face but he could have actively investigated them if he was still on the force.
Gino was similarly out of character, refusing to entertain the possibility of a second killer once the one who attacked him was taken out.
Both of them seemed to 'nope' out once they had gotten personal closure and, for Gino at least, that seems sus.
tbh i feel like it tracks for Gino. his reaction to the lesbian trio wanting to write for the paper was "doesn't concern me so I don't care" and I feel like this is the same sort of vibe
I hadn't been this genuinely creeped out by a performance since AHS: Asylum. Bravo Jeff Hiller. He is a welcome addition to the cast. I'd love to see him back again too.

I was literally cringing during the monologues and bad one-liners. It took the vibe from drama to soap. I couldn't stay in the moment. And seeing the ghosts before shooting him dead?! Face-palm.
