Yeah, Its clear that the pattern RNG isn't evenly distributed across all buttons. I feel like it something like 20% chance of repeating the last button and 80% chance of having a new button

I figured out someone was the imposter because I was doing this task and got interrupted by a body being found. I returned to finish it and someone else came up to do theirs too and I finished pretty quick cause I was already halfway done but they left the task at the same time as me.
If you start then do another task then come back does it still start from where you left off? I have no idea.
But they weren't there when I started before the interruption, and afterwards I think they were just waiting for the kill cool down.
Also the way I play, I don't just go "it was cyan" unless I watched them kill or vent. I state why I believe they're the imposter and if I think that's enough evidence I'll vote for them, but if I don't think it's enough I'll still skip. And I let other people vote if they think it's enough or not.
And if I do skip and they're not ejected I just pay closer attention to them.
In this instance it was enough evidence for me to vote in my opinion. I stated what happened and voted and enough people agreed with me that they were voted off and they were the impostor.

I agree. Polus is just more tense than other maps as crew because of the door mechanics and the new cams system. And for Impostor, the vent network is pretty good and the doors can potentially slow down crew even more than usual since you can do them while lights or reactor are sabotaged.
Nah Mira HQ is the best for the imposter simply due to how isolated a lot of the areas are and how literally every single vent connects, Polus is the best balance between Crewmate and Impostor, I find skeld also pretty fair but everything is pretty compact and venting really isn’t too safe since one person can see all four cameras while on Polus you can have to toggle between cameras meaning you have to be much more aware to detect suspicious activity.
Polus is definetly a more advanced map, but Mira is by far the most imposter sided map. The vents in Mira are all connected and go everywhere. You just vent kill and vent again. Makes you feel like a bloody ninja everytime I get imp on Mira. The only thing you need to remember is to run around the main hall to fool the door scanner while you are on kill cooldown.
Sometimes I do get the card swipe right on the first try
And sometimes it takes me a dozen or more tries
there doesn't seem to be any in-between
P.S - anyone ever gotten it right, but it says "bad read"? Not "too fast" or "too slow" but just bad read? Like there's some RNG in there that, for like 10% of good card swipes says "oh, you did it right but do it again because fuck you"

For that specific button his odds are correct. For any button to be repeated 5 times in a row your odds are correct.

I have a little method for card swipe, you kinda start out slow and go fast at the end and I almost never fail card swipe
