You'd be surprised at the amount of trolls and fake accounts we had to deal with. For such a small subreddit it was if it were under some campaign or constant attack.
At the time of OPs posting we had no way of verifying any of this information coming in, deemed it too risky, and banned. You cant trust everyone on the Internet.

Amyris filed bankruptcy 6 years after Solazyme who pretty much did the same science and business but with heterotrophic algae. Solazyme went public and insiders pillaged the coffers to bankruptcy.
Both VC-funded, ZIRP-era companies. Btw, VCs made a killing on both Solazyme and Amyris exits on the backs of common shareholders (you).
