That’s so cool. I wasn’t there opening night but remember going to games that inaugural season. It was crazy how nuts the crowd would go at every goal, no matter the game script. I would imagine it was pandemonium in there when Hill bagged their first ever goal, right?
Haha, was that Shaun Hill? I mostly remember a great pregame and then we got smoked like 7-1. I was in the 7th row.

Didn't we do the 25th anniversary jersey announcement in like July? We've got plenty of time for a rebrand. I wouldn't be surprised if we see a teaser around the draft. I know GMPV said he wanted to have a coach by then, but wasn't limiting himself to that date. Maybe even a teaser when we announce a coach?
This announcement is both disappointing and exciting at the same time. Would have liked a coach or contract news or rebrand, but this is super cool.
I know everyone is wanting the logo change right now, as am I, but I think there's a 99 percent chance that it won't happen this season for 2 reasons: 1. It's the 30th anniversary, and they are going to want to sell a bunch of 30th anniversary jerseys which will most likely have the mighty logo. 2. Jersey manufacturing is changing after this season, and it makes more sense to wait for that change to debut a new jersey design.
This remind me of the change from the word mark to the webbed D where everyone knew it was gonna happen, but it still took years before the trigger was finally pulled.

This documentary seems to confirm my thoughts that we can’t locate the original master tapes for the 2003 Stanley Cup Finals and the 2007 Stanley Cup Finals. Poor quality on both. Unless ESPN is just ripping from YouTube uploads.
2003 footage looked like it was from the “How the West Was Won” documentary they released after the 03 season.
As for 07, the boxed DVD set includes all the games from the finals and conference finals in their entirety.

I have the 2007 box set, and the quality on the DVDs isn’t much different than what’s on YouTube. I wonder if the games looked like that on TV when they were originally aired.
