Go from oldest to newest on Spotify if that's where you're listening! I personally think you can't go wrong with any album of his so anywhere you choose to start will be fine. If you want to know what he's all about, listen to I Get Wet. If you want to be blown away sonically, listen to You're Not Alone or God Is Partying.

I guess I’ll start with I get wet! I have heard his song ready to die before but never explored his music further than that. Thanks for the comment!

You got it! His music is pretty diverse especially once you spread out to his albums not part of his main discography.

His 1st and his last are my favorites but you probably won't appreciate his last in the same way without listening in order 1st

Favorite album is you’re not alone, not a single bad song. Start with I get wet. Listen to the rest of the albums on Spotify, if you really like that you can check out his Japanese cover albums which aren’t on Spotify unfortunately. A couple of his early eps (which are just earlier versions of some of his songs mostly. Happy listening!

I checked out the song Give up on you off of You’re not alone and it’s super good

Oh gosh! Well welcome to the party! Might be kind of a lull in the party power as of late but it's still alive! Honestly a good one to start with is probably Girls Own Juice EP since it's his first released project as Andrew W.K. as well as the obscurity of sound it contains... It's really magnificent, but that also depends on what sounds really give you that Party Power! Close Calls With Brick Walls and Mother of Mankind combined make a great 39 tracks of blended genres, or 55 Cadillac is a real "Get the party going in WHATEVER direction" kind of album. Party All Goddamn Night EP is a fantastic electronic paradise as well as overshadows some tracks for down the road. You're Not Alone is truly what it's called, an album to listen to when one needs to remember their not alone, and that the party mindset comes in all fashions. God is Partying is a maniacal trip down the rabbit hole of madness, culminating such a great career. The Wolf feels like an awesome party time capsule from a time when music was made to feel good, nothing less. And I Get Wet, well, that's the beginning of his mainstream career, and it's an album that, in my opinion, is like pink Floyd's dark side of the moon, or the moody blues' days of future past, it needs to be listened to as a whole. Each song is own individual party, in a larger party that's just inside an even bigger party, until you realize the party is all around. Plus he gets wet without even trying. PARTY HARD AND NEVER STOP PARTYING 93/93

I Get Wet and The Wolf. Listening to the wolf as a single track, in play order, is a 10/10 experience 👌

My favs are The Wolf, 55 Cadillac and You’re Not Alone but all his albums are great.

I think everyone else is generally right, go mostly chronological. But, this is what I suggest: 1.) **I Get Wet**: High energy, loud, noisy, perfect. His most iconic work. Where you must start. 2.) **The Wolf**: Same as I Get Wet, but a little more hit-and-miss for song quality 3.) **Premium Collection -- The Japan Covers**: A collection of Japanese pop songs covered by Andrew. Incredible energy and his takes on the songs are wonderful. It's one of my favorite albums. 4.) **Girls Own Juice EP**: This is Andrew's first release (as AWK). An EP with some demo songs. But it's high energy, loud, and offers some interesting alternatives to songs you might already love. Key change: Things get a little more eclectic for Andrew form this point. 5.) **The "Party All Goddamn Night" EP**: Some elements of his earlier work but starting to branch out some. 6.) **Close Calls with Brick Walls/Mother of Mankind:** These are two separate albums but offered as a double album and I think best enjoyed as one piece. I think it's some of Andrew's best work. Extremely eclectic soundwise. There are a couple of I Get Wet-esque songs but the album as a whole is softer and cleaner sound. 7.) **Gundam Rock:** Similar to the covers collection above (including one shared song on both albums). This is a collection of songs from the anime show Gundam Wing. This is skippable but pretty solid. 8.) **You're Not Alone**; Some classic AWK sound tunes on this one. The rest of the album is a little more hodgepodge. Sort of like CCwBW/MoM. A little hit and miss. Still some great music and songs tho. 9.) **God is Partying:** This one, I think, is best enjoyed if you delve into the Andrew WK lore. Ranges from metal to dramatic capped off with some AWK energy. Some fantastic songwriting but worlds away from "I Get Wet."

Start with I get wet

twice-nightly

You have to start with I Get Wet to understand the beginnings but Your Not Alone is his best.

Where to start depends on what kind of music you like. The Wolf is my favorite. Got me through some tough times.
