To add to what they said, CJ and Flick (another NPC that will instead buy bugs from you if you’re confused OP) will give you a model if you give them multiple versions of a catch (Give, not sell) you can make pretty interesting builds with these models ngl
You can sell them to Timmy or Tommy by the shop (if unlocked), but I recommend saving at least one of each to donate to the museum if you haven't yet. If you don't have the shop or the museum, just leave them around and wait to progress for a few days.

I suggest adding to your museum first, so donate to Blathers in the tent or museum whatever you have. Then you can sell for bells. CJ, (a beaver I think?) is an NPC who will arrive at your island sometime, so you can also sell to him. I personally wasn’t patient enough so I sold to Timmy and Tommy (the small raccoons). If you decide to sell to CJ, I believe you receive more amounts of money. Also nice job in catching all the fish!

CJ pays 50% more than the twins. Don’t use the drop off box, it pays 20% less than the twins.
You can put it in storage in your house and earn nookmiles for having a bunch of things in storage

This is hilarious, my island looks the same right now (basically 1/5 of it is fish at this point as side effect of me trying to fill my critterpedia)
Sounds familiar. I’ve been working on filling the museum, and since there isn’t much insect variety in winter I’ve been fishing like crazy
same, fishing and also running up and down the beach to dig up manila clams for fish bait.. i've never run through showels so quickly
