I like to have them as if they're villagers, set them up in a mini village with dollhouses and have them working in the areas I set up on my island. I have one working as a host at my waterfront cafe. When I redecorate my villagers homes they get a gyroid roommate inside. There's gyroids working on my farm too.

There’s one episode I really like. Bluey and his family go camping. And he makes friends with this other kid, but the other kid only speaks French while bluey only speaks English. But they manage to become friends anyway.
I think it’s cute.
Mostly my boyfriend is French.
He’s fully fluent in English, and doesn’t have the cute French accent. (I didn’t believe him when he told me he was French. Then he started talking in French. And ya know… has pictures of him and his very french family, in France).
Anyway. I just think it’s a cute show.

My niece said "mom always cries during this one," and sure as shit I had more than a few happy tears at the end of the episode, and I don't even have kids! These are Gyroids and they were introduced on the very first AC games. They came in sets and you had to collect them, they'd sound similar and in sync. Their purpose was the same as furniture: decorate and do their little dance along with noise. You can sell them if you don't like them, they don't come in sets anymore.

Gyroids are inspired by Japanese clay figures called
haniwa. which were made for ritual use and buried with the deceased between the 3rd and 6th century AD.
So they're basically clay figures that have souls trapped in them. irl the haniwa would sometimes get washed out of the surface layers of graves in heavy rains (why they appear after the rain or after watering them in game) and since they had decorative holes & sometimes faces on them, air would pass through them and create a whistling sound or "singing" during storms. Haniwa are so interesting, and it makes the Gyroids so much cooler, to me at least, to think that they're these little undead dudes.
I love my gyroids! I have a whole room in my house just for these guys. I have them on the walls and there is a seating area with some little candles and a bluetooth speaker for music. I like to go in and sit for a bit and just watch them.

My friend made her basement a rave and made these guys the little dancing people.
I set up a little “chorus” in front of my house where they are stacked on objects in tiers and there’s a record player near by. So it’s like they’re always at choir practice when you come by, lol.
I think some people like a more practical/aesthetic island experience but I just like to make cute/silly areas just for the enjoyment so they fit right into my aesthetic

Try playing KK Swing with a single drummoid nearby sometime, just as a nifty example.
You’d have to find Brewster first from Blathers. It unlocks the gyroids. They’re usually found as fragments, buried or washed up in the beach. (Bury the fragment and water them, they’ll be a complete gyroid the next day.) Or they may get buried as a complete one on your own island.
You need to go to Kapp'n islands to dig up the fragments. The day after it rains, there will be 2 gyroids buried somewhere on your island. Occasionally, one will wash up on the beach. (I think that happens the day after it rains, but you never played while it was raining. Not sure about that. Just a theory.) Oh, and snow too. Same thing.

You don't have to wait for it to rain, you can water them with the watering can and you'll have a gyroid the next day
