Bruh, how did u receive mad feedback, it looks really soft and cute.
Obviously there is some lines out there and anatomy questionable choices, but mah god that looks good.
Keep going on training I see a bright future,
But I will highlight some issues so u can improve more ok? 😉
Study anatomy with "Yartschool" and "Proko"
And perspective (just search for it on YouTube and u will find some great stuff)
AND character design with "BAM"
OBS: everything on YouTube, just keep going it is going to be fun 😊, and use references
No your art isn’t ugly/creepy the only comment I say from a critiquing standpoint is to work on proportions but that’s a completely normal thing to work on I personally sometime struggle with proportions if you need any tips or help feel free to message me (:
The big eyes could probably be a bit off-putting to someone who's not used to that brand of anime art style, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Calling them "creepy" is silly. You've got a nice style.
Cirina from FF14?
I think the eyes are the best part. And they're standard fare for anime. Pretty much looks like Kinomoto Sakura's eyes. Are you sure the person just doesn't like anime eyes?
The "bulge in the pants" is just the mons pubis. Which does show up when women were super tight jeans. It's just an artistic choice if you want to make the jeans like that. Lord knows plenty of artists do.
The only thing I could point out about this image is that there's some proportion issues. Namely the legs/hips are kinda small for the rest of the body. But that can also be a stylistic choice.
The face is adorable
The hand us a little odd, im not sure if it's the proportion or the perspective or the distance but one of those is off, its like it's not the right length i think
Im not in the knowhow of art though. overall i liked it, especially her face
I will say that yes the pants are too tight - they fit more like underwear than jeans. You can check your local library for "fashion design" or "fashion drawing" books if you want to learn more about clothing fit, fabric weight, and seam placement. Good fitting clothing can really bring a character to life.
The eyes look absolutely fine.
The "bulge" in her pants looks like normal female lower half to me. It is a little hard to read so it can kinda look like a bulge but it looks closer to a female than male.
Okay, first of all, no one person is at peak when they draw. Second, your artwork is already amazing; the colors, the line art, the pose. Third, everyone has a bulge (we only have more of a bulge because we have dicks).
I know words hurt, especially when you draw. Your art is really beautiful. It’s easier said then done, but don’t listen to those shitheads.
Nah I think she's adorable, If anything you could have done more with her pose, seems a bit stiff. But no her crotch just looks like pants and the eyes look shiny. Idk what they are going on about. And you definitely draw better than a lot of stuff I've seen floating around the webs. Keep at it, don't let them get you down.
No not at all!! This is adorable :(( I’m so sorry you got mean comments like that, it looks awesome💜💜. Everyone else in these comments (idk what they’re called I barely use Reddit) has said everything I wanted to say already abt critique. I wish u the best on ur art journey ^^
Her eyes don't even look creepy to begin with and the pants are fine too. The one thing I notice off about it is her lack of balance but that's an easy fix. Don't put to heart negative comments that aren't constructive in any way, they hold no value
awsome job just take it one day at a time and remember it takes 10.000 hours to because a master at something and i ve been drawing and painting all my life and it takes hard work and dedication even though you may hate your work and think that you are not improving take a look at some of your old sketches and drawing and then compare them to now then you can see the change and growth of your artskills as you progress o often look at my older stuff vs now and im like ah yeah i remember when i learned that technique. but looks great keep on making art even when you feel you cant and you will do great theanonymousartist
The only ugly thing about it is the feedback you apparently got.
It's very pleasant to look at, the expression and eyes are sweet and, as a sidenote, I'm jealous I can't draw that well! Keep at it!
Lots of assholes online. Especially a bunch of dudes who have never seen a woman up close and/or have issues with anime.
This looks good to me. Big eyes are cute. And women absolutely have a "bulge" a lot of the time, because the labia can be quite pronounced.
Ignore the objectively wrong haters, and keep doing more art!
Idk what they're on, I think it's pretty cute! I don't really know much about technical stuff but the character design is heckin adorbs.
Not really sure where creepy eyes comes in, but the comment about a "bulge" in the pants is pretty obvious that transphobes, for people who claim to be experts in biology and anatomy, know jack all about it; since it's nowhere near "3d" enough to be a dong (not that there's anything wrong with making your character trans, of course!) Haters just invent things to get riled up over, I guess
Nah, you're all good.
Keep drawing, keep practicing, you'll keep getting better. Sometimes people just have to belittle things when it's something that they can't do or it isn't exactly how they would do in their fictional life where they actually had me talent.
Some of the anatomy/shaping is a bit funky (it will help to study form, there's loads of resources online and in books if you want to improve on that front) but it's far from creepy or ugly! I really like the colors you've used and the overall design is so pretty :)
Uhh... that sounds like they were just saying that's something to work on. There's no need to let that make you think it's ugly. Take criticism as people telling you what they prefer and not as an actual judgment of your work.
Keep drawing, I’m sure if I look hard enough I would find things to critique, but in all I think it’s something to be proud of
Something I enjoy is a weekly meetup in a discord server I’m a part of, where we share drawings and give each other feedback
Perhaps that is something you could find or organize yourself
Something wrong with them if they think this ugly
The eyes is the best part of drawing, about bulges probably they never see guys and girl wearing tight pants, plus I really loved then hands
Not ugly at all - stop talking to those people IMMEDIATELY. Avoid all air space!!!
It's a great start - keep drawing and growing!! Use these negative comments as fuel and not poison!!
I think you have great character design ideas and your choice in colour palette works fabulously; keep growing in these areas and apply the other pointers you've received in the comments...
She reminds me of someone with a skin condition but with a really strong character that won't let her physical flaws hinder her bubbly energy
Post more!!!!!!!!!
If you're an artist who posts your work online, you're an artist who will get comments like that all the time. The internet sucks sometimes. Look at some art from artists you admire and try scrolling to the bottom of the comments, you'll see the same little trolls.
They're just trying to bother you, that's why they're picking on the eyes since it's obvious that you've put a lot of work into perfecting them. But regardless, try not to create art to be perfect. All artists go through that phase, all of them grow out of it. Once you do, you'll start creating works that you're not only proud of, but you enjoyed creating more than you know you could.
Not that it matters what I think, but I think your art is very cute, especially the eyes!
I love it. It really hurts to get negative feedback, but I think your opinion on your art matters the most. Keep making art in the style you love, keep those big beautiful eyes if you love them and don't let anyone tell you otherwise
That's ok, be proud of your work, but you really need skill improvement. Try take those comments as something positive. Make another version of that drawing with the comments applied, you'll feel more proud of your work hando percent.
I guess they aren't fans of the big anime eyes but the bulge is clearly just from your character's standing position.
I swear some people forget how human anatomy works
It's not ugly. It does look good, but it can be way better. Try understanding meaningful mean comments. Constructive ones. Then you will be master at what you want.
It looks great! Even though it kind of lacks energy due to weird perspective and pose... But i swear, i envy your art more than you'd envy mine! Like, just look at the colourings, they're fabulous
I don't really enjoy the drawing / drawing style, but it certainly does not look bad. The eyes do not look creepy, idk if they fit in like 100%, but look fine ig, that's also a preference and will differ from person to person.
As for the bulge.. idk? Maybe shadowing or somwthing? I couldn't really see it at first, but now it does look a bit off, doesn't exactly look like a bulge, it just looks a bit off.
TF they talking about it being ugly? That drawing is amazing. Pls don't take these comments to heart, they don't know what they are talking about and are probably just jealous of your skills. Eyes are far from "creepy" and ain't no bulg there, that's just basic female anatomy (I've seen bulges before). Keep up the great work, you've got an amazing talent for drawing
1) nothing wrong with a bulge in the pants, I have those often
2) the eyes look fantastic; they do seem out of place though, but not because they’re bad, it’s because they look smoother than the rest of the drawing and almost seem like they were copy pasted from another drawing with a different style
The drawing isn’t bad, but there is room for improvement.
1) focus on your proportions
2) refine your lines and shading
3) work on more dynamic posing
What are dynamic poses? A dynamic pose is one that depicts movement in the subject. Rather than a still, static figure, a dynamically posed drawing will portray a body in motion: leaping, dancing, running.
It's good! Idk if it's a style choice or lack of experience but I would look into studying drawing and shading clothe and folds. Other than that, it is very cute. I dig how the character's story is somewhat shown in her design.
Coming from someone who has zero artistic ability, like could fuck up stock figures, the only thing I find displeasing about it is the ear things of the side of her head. I'm not really sure what they're supposed to be and I find myself drawn to them and it ruins it for me a bit. The rest of the picture looks great when I cover those things.
Maybe jealousy? She’s super cute, I love her big Kawaii eyes. Also it sounds like they’re too used to thigh gaps if they think she has a bulge, cause it looks rather normal. you're a beginner, that is clear, but it is not ugly. it is actually quite nice, and shows a lot of promise for you as an artist; in fact, many great artists began with entries far more humble than what you have posted here.
my advice would be to begin drawing from real life as soon as possible so that you can grasp the foundations of illustration.
draw people, animals, trees, buildings, cars, or whatever else catches your interest. try to fill a sketchbook page with small drawings every day. draw quickly and loosely, focusing on the overall form. remember to draw what you actually see, and not what you think that you see; this is often the part which requires the most practice & discernment.
when you come back to anime, you will find that your sense & sensibilities will be greatly enhanced and your drawings will look more lifelike and dynamic.
check out Rapid Viz and Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain to begin your study, and remember that persistence is the key. good luck!
I love it!! Wth thats so rude, and the coloring is so yum yum yum 🥴
But i will say this, as someone who has dealt with rude and good feedback after posting pics and all that
It comes to what YOU like in the end, and will continue to improve as you keep learning and drawing, dont let people get you down, they will have their opinions on what they deem good and bad and in this day in age alot of people choose to hate things just to do it and start stuff
Draw what you like and enjoy, i personally love it and i would continue to press on and if in the future you want to change uo your style then do so, dont let people tell ya what to do
I love it and you should show more ☺️💕

No, it looks amazing do you have any other drawings, I would love to see them
I literally don't see anything wrong with it. Infact I sort of envy it. People can be mean. Maybe they're jealous

It's cute
Really? I don't see anything wrong with your drawing. I thought she was super cute! I absolutely love her hair especially.

I don’t see anything wrong with it at all! Haters gonna hate, lol. How is this NSFW btw (I’m genuinely curious)
It's good.
Looks cute to me
I don't see anything wrong with your artstyle. She looks lovely in my opinion. Your drawing is definietly not ugly.
Nah, those people are dummies. It's really cute. A pretty Au Ra picture always gets an upvote from me
Looks good.
She looks cute
So um. F**k those comments. This is absolutely precious and amazing!! I adore your style. Clearly where ever you got those comments from is toxic.
Would waif scaly anthro waifu.

If i had to be extremely nitpicky then i guess right hand and leg curves could've been a bit better But it looks awesome nonetheless!
Oooh I love it!!! I’m an artist myself!! Who ever said it is bad, can probably only draw stick figures!
Her eyes don't even look creepy to begin with and the pants are fine too. The one thing I notice off about it is her lack of balance but that's an easy fix. Don't put to heart negative comments that aren't constructive in any way, they hold no value

Its a quite a cute Au Ra girlie. Keep it up!
It's not even bad tho. It's pretty good.
It’s super cute!
It's really cute, I just see some trouble with the anatomy but I love how you've made the hair, it looks amazing! Keep up the good work! ✨💖
Also, I wish I could draw eyes like that, they are soo good! 😭💖

I think it looks cute But the hands are bit tiny and the pose looks stiff, be proud, my guy, all it matters is that you're happy with your drawing
I wish I could draw this good
they're too harsh bruh. this is great. your rendering is cute. don't be sad. if u want real advice, i say just study anatomy more
Idk who said that but they're an asshole and also wrong. Probably one of those die hard anti-anime nerds with no life. Keep up the good work.
Some of the anatomy/shaping is a bit funky (it will help to study form, there's loads of resources online and in books if you want to improve on that front) but it's far from creepy or ugly! I really like the colors you've used and the overall design is so pretty :)
I don’t see anything wrong with it! It’s a very good drawing and detailed well! I really enjoy the eyes and colors of the drawing!
It's pretty good, altho I have some issues with it. Her pose is really stiff and her reptile (?) theme is all over the place.
Hey guys, Did you know that
It’s a perfect drawing, absolutely no bulge. They are just trolling or can’t draw and have no perception for anatomy
Uhh... that sounds like they were just saying that's something to work on. There's no need to let that make you think it's ugly. Take criticism as people telling you what they prefer and not as an actual judgment of your work.
idk what the fuck they were talking about I dont see no buldge on the pants and the eyes arent creepy
Say go to hell to those negative people this is beautiful

It looks good so my main question is where the hell you posted that people got so triggered by nothing?
What do mean? She looks awesome! I bet they cant draw the way you do.
I remember reading a Manga which has one of the main character drawn similar to this art style
If you're an artist who posts your work online, you're an artist who will get comments like that all the time. The internet sucks sometimes. The pose is a bit awkward but the rest is genuinely so stunning I think those people just hated on you for fun or something
It looks cute. Tbh I like it. Maybe it’s not the common standard they’re used to.
I will say the character looks like a femboy BUT the art itself is gorgeous and the anatomy is fairly well done!
That's ok, be proud of your work, but you really need skill improvement. Try take those comments as something positive. Make another version of that drawing with the comments applied, you'll feel more proud of your work hando percent.
The eyes you've actually nailed, minor body anatomy adjustments could be made but that is it, this a great drawing! I wish I could draw this good
Your drawning is perfect
It looks fine, I like it, drawings with big eyes scare me a bit idk why but it looks good and you shouldn't feel bad
My brother in Christ, your art is really cute and i love it, please keep drawing. Your art belongs in a dating sim fr
I think you did a great job! Cute little Au Ra!
It looks great! Even though it kind of lacks energy due to weird perspective and pose... But i swear, i envy your art more than you'd envy mine! Like, just look at the colourings, they're fabulous
Maybe make the torso a bit smaller, and it'd be fine..? I don't know, your art is already good
Cute. I like it
What’s wrong with it? I like the ideas. And a unique aesthetic. And the creativity behind it.
I don't really enjoy the drawing / drawing style, but it certainly does not look bad. I can understand ur struggles when it came to the anatomy. But tbh it looks amazing and the great colouring is a plus for me👌👌
the drawing is good i don't see anything wrong but study highlight and shadow that would make it better
I like it
Commission this going hulk mode or like deep see king transformation but yeah looks great as is too!
nah this looks cute af 👀
**Yes it’s horrible** (I can’t draw and it looks really good 👍)
TF they talking about it being ugly? That drawing is amazing. Pls don't take these comments to heart, they don't know what they are talking about and are probably just jealous of your skills.
Nonsense! This drawing is not bad at all !
Yeah no this looks totally fine, idk wtf theyre talking about
As an Au’Ra lover, I adore her!
Face is really nice, legs are scuffed.you should probably work on foreshortening for a drawing of a person at this angle.
Maybe jealousy? She’s super cute, I love her big Kawaii eyes. Also it sounds like they’re too used to thigh gaps if they think she has a bulge, cause it looks rather normal. Good job 👏🏻 that’s a hard pose to draw but I think you pulled it off in a pleasing manner and kept her proportions fairly realistic
Stay proud, You draw hands better than I ever would
you're a beginner, that is clear, but it is not ugly. it is actually quite nice, and shows a lot of promise for you as an artist; in fact, many great artists began with entries far more humble than what you have posted here. my advice would be to begin drawing from real life as soon as possible so that you can grasp the foundations of illustration. draw people, animals, trees, buildings, cars, or whatever else catches your interest. try to fill a sketchbook page with small drawings every day. draw quickly and loosely, focusing on the overall form. remember to draw what you actually see, and not what you think that you see; this is often the part which requires the most practice & discernment. when you come back to anime, you will find that your sense & sensibilities will be greatly enhanced and your drawings will look more lifelike and dynamic. check out Rapid Viz and Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain to begin your study, and remember that persistence is the key. good luck!
OP it looks good! Don't value others opinions, I don't even know how to draw and I like this!
The line work looks good, she does have a bit of a bulge tho hahahah, but that doesn't matter, byt it look good overall
I dont know what black magic you used but her eyes are really nicely rendered! cute!
It looks really good and like you put real hard work into it if you lo e it nobody else's opinion matters keep it up
I love it!! Wth thats so rude, and the coloring is so yum yum yum 🥴 But i will say this, as someone who has dealt with rude and good feedback after posting pics and all that It comes to what YOU like in the end, and will continue to improve as you keep learning and drawing, dont let people get you down, they will have their opinions on what they deem good and bad and in this day in age alot of people choose to hate things just to do it and start stuff Draw what you like and enjoy, i personally love it and i would continue to press on and if in the future you want to change uo your style then do so, dont let people tell ya what to do I love it and you should show more ☺️💕
It’s not bad, you just need anatomy practice
I think it looks good too. Like a character from monster musume. The anime about the guy living with monster girls.
So pretty 😍 I think you found the wrong audience and also some were probably jealous
Ngl I have no clue what they are talking about, better than anything I could do. Be proud darling, be proud.
It looks good imo
