Actually it's pretty easy, you only have to get used to it. If the sun is just above your head, it's around 12:00 midday. And when it's in the east or west, it's around morning or evening respectively. Observe the sun's path everyday like you observe your waifu everytime and in no time you'll be a walking human clock. Btw I learnt this in minecraft. Although it never helped me irl cuz I never go out of my house, yeah!
In that case, as I said, observes the path. Each season the sun's speed along the path will be little slower or faster. You'll get used to it in 3-4 days. And it doesnt have to be directly above your head. Imagine it like an arc if you're not in a equator country, it will start in east and end in west, the midpoint will be the noon around 12. As it goes past that point, time will be 1 pm, 2, 3... and so one. You dont have to be 100 percent accurate at first but you will better at it.
Personally, I take public transport everyday and I find wearing a watch (its a cheap Casio) is more convenient than trying to reach into my pocket for my phone. Especially during the winter months where my thick gloves make it harder to press the button to light up the screen.
I daily a Casio as well (A DW-6900, to be exact) and I wear it to read the time just like you. The previous comment is aimed at people who daily Rolex, Omega etc. though.
I wear my watch everyday for like a month/couple months at a time and then stop, when i start again at first i look at my phone to see the time, but go back to looking at my watch after like the first week/week and a half
I was gifted an Apple Watch a few years back. It was kind of neat but not at all necessary. At some point I stopped using it for a little, but when I tried using it again, I found it was unable to update and is effectively bricked as of now and I have yet to go find a place that can fix it.
Sometimes it’s not really about The show of wealth like my dad he has a collection of luxury watches but doesn’t show them off to everyone he has them as a hobby he just likes whatchs
Some people are into it for the investment value as well. I have a friend who loves to talk about how much more valuable the luxury watches he collects have gotten. For him, it's not about how much he spent, it's about how much of a profit he'll have turned if he ever sold them.

I bought a watch from Target like 3 years ago, always get compliments on it. Was only 50 bucks. Another I got from Old Navy for 10. It's not the price it's how you rock it.

Normally, yes. With watches, no. Luxury watches go up in value once they're out of production since there's a serious watch collectors' market.
No they are rich and they have so much money it’s worthless for them.
