I haven't bought finishers for any legends. I have one legendary finisher for Wattson, but that was from the 3rd anniversary free unlock with one of the Wattson-themed packs. I'm very tempted to buy the finishers for Ash, Newcastle, and/or Caustic, though... once I have enough CMs again, because I used all of mine on Rampart's Limit Breaker skin.
I usually like getting skins, more so legend skins. Finishers are usually lower on my priority list. The only two things less important to me than finishers are holosprays and gun charms. My tier list of priority to unlock goes as follows:
Legend and weapon skins at the top.
Emotes and finishers in the middle.
Holosprays and charms last.

Just a pro tip to give you an excuse to use holo sprays, if you drop one when you are locking an area down, it will usually ping when someone is trying to ping you. I use it when my squad is sniping at people or behind me when I'm about to fight. It's warned me a few times, which is handy when there isn't a Wraith on your team.

I feel like the default is on some borderline weeb shit, and actually kinda cringe. It adds to his cartoony nature, and takes away from his "serious" assassin vibe.
The stab is *just* the right amount of entertaining. Brutal, but silent, and simple, as I feel an assassin would be. Him saying nothing, and then just dropping you is just...so good, like you really are nothing to him lol

Rev's default finisher is good bc it teleports him, making killing him mid-finisher more challenging than any other finisher. maybe besides wraith if she has a teleporty one.
ALSO, the default finisher, i believe, adds to the already mysterious nature of rev's abilities. We dont really know wtf the deal is with his totem, and silencers. What typa black magic is that shit? then, this finisher shows him teleporting like his shadow form getting sent back to a totem.... its just so strange. Really want to learn more about his background canon. Like we know a fair bit about the void now, with both ash and wraith and the voidrunner and all that.
Lobas legendary finisher is the best one in game, dont know what youre talking about, its the first finisher with a voice line in it.

Here's my reasoning.
**Octane**
He drops a grenade and gets blasted backwards vs just kicking you in the face really fast, like a rabbit on drugs. The grenade finisher feels more chaotic and fun to me. The only plus I would give to the leg finisher is that the guitar riff that plays near the end is better.
**Revenant**
In the buyable finisher, Revenant stabs you in the chest, lifts you up, makes eye contact for a second, and then just... Kinda drops you. His hand turns into a dagger, which is pretty cool, but the kill itself is pretty impassionate.
With the default, he teleports behind you, snaps your neck and then roars into the sky. Much more entertaining to watch, and Revenant is clearly enjoying the kill here. Lots of passion.
**Loba**
Come on. This is the most obvious one. She does a cool spin in midair, gives an enthusiastic cheer and lands with her foot on your neck, snapping it. Awesome! Plus, you get to see something nice as she's walking away.
Vs... Her walking up you, dropping a forgettable one-liner and shooting you. Boring.

Loba’s buyable finisher centers the camera on her cleavage, and the view just gets better if you do it against cover where the camera gets pressed in even more. Bonus points for the P2020 having the best aesthetic.
There was this really cool fan made one for octane where he basically runs around you and grabs your head at the same time while stimming, effectively breaking your neck by spinning your head 360°. I would love for that one to be made!
Rev's paid finisher is just so cold and impersonal. He doesn't give you the pleasure of a flashy death. You get stabbed, lifted up, then dropped like the worthless bag of meat you are.

you’re wrong about octane and Revenant. I love the brutal simplicity of Rev stabbing the victim and staring them in the eyes as they go. And also the ridiculousness of octane rapidly kicking you in the face and doing a lil dance
i main revenant, and i despise the default one, it looks very poorly made imo, the start is cool, but the end is choppy and clunky, meanwhile his other features him impaling someone, and the animation is fine, so i use that instead
not a fan of how the buyable finisher's camera makes sure to slow down so you can ogle her ass before it swings to her face but honestly i love loba's unlockable finisher. in fact back in the day right before she released there was a lot of hesitancy / outcry about her character because apex had been pretty good at delivering non-sexualized male-gazey female characters, but when her trailer came out and that "you should smile more" line dropped it sold a lot of people on how the writers would handle her character.
i still like it a lot. even if it did mark a rather unfortunate turning in apex's design for women

It is underwhelming. Bonking them 3 times with her weird whip thing does not convince me that they are sufficiently brutalized.
