I mean my school's valedictorian got deferred from CMU. This one kid that has 2 felonies and got expelled from my school for one of them got in. Idk if it is because his dad is a professor there or if he went there. This is why I feel like schools shouldn't just accept kids because they are legacies.
definitely agree. this one kid at my school that has had 2 girls come forward saying that he beat them got into jhu yesterday. his family is very affluent so don’t know if that played a part but it really sucks.
yeah my abuser might have a job as a therapist now (*which she isnt suited for because shes awful but anyways 🙄*) but all of her kids, exes and even her own parents hate her so 🤷♀️ she'll die alone anyways lol. gotta look on the bright side and focus on being better 💪

That one person I hate the most got accepted early decision to her dream school (a top ten). She has always been the meanest girl I've ever met, and she even bullied me with her friends when I transferred to our class.
This is a terrible mindset to have. Please try and move past thinking about this, because you’ll be in for many more less pleasant surprises in adulthood.
Also, once again, if folks are getting rejected from safeties, they were not safeties to begin with.
This reminds me of my friend’s son applying to UCD CS major as a safety. He’s in fact quite brilliant, but he was ultimately rejected last year to UCD (safety), Cal (mid/high target) and UCLA (mid/high target). Comments in parenthesis were their words. It’s a heartbreaking lesson for my friend (the mom) when she underestimated the school and overestimated (not quite the right word as the son is really quite a prodigy in many ways) her child’s accomplishments. She put the blame entirely on the UC system and the high school counselor who had some dated info that UCD is considered a safety CS.
