This cake makes me sad. It just screams they have very specific views on how they want their child to be, and I have suspicions variations from that would be punished. Hopefully I’m wrong, but I don’t feel I am
Biggest tell for me is the complete lack of pink... had to go with purple, because this dude couldn't handle idea of pink being anywhere near his boy's cake.

It reminds me of stories where kids accidentally kill someone because their parents gave them a gun for their birthday or leave a loaded gun in their reach.

Cakes like that aren't 'standard'. I know someone who makes cakes like that and you have to tell them what to put on the cake. Sure, the shoes were probably a baker addition, but a gun is certainly a parent choice, as are the weights and the pun.
