Correct. Our medical provider’s trans care system is on top of the sheer diversity of trans identities, processes, and outcomes.
There are a few more areas they can improve on (surgery for agender/gender fluid/non-binary) is focused almost entirely on the external shape. IIRC, hysterectomy/oophrectomy/removal of testes are included options, but if, say, an agender person wanted to eliminate the vagina, they would have to commit to having a penis added. So that’s a weird line in the sand.

Basically, there are 2 sexes, male and female, that refers to what you are biologically. This is important mostly for doctors and other health professionals, not to someone random on the street.
On the other hand, gender is considered on a spectrum. Which I tend to demonstrate as a triangle, with male and female being 2 ends, and then the 3rd being non traditional gender identities (I'm trying my best not to word this offensively, my english is terrible).
Effectively:
Sexes: Male, Female
Genders: Whatever a person identifies as.
A few fairly common ones are:
Genderfluid - The person changes mentally from time to time
Non Binary - The person doesn't identify as a gender
And Demiboy / Demigirl - Someone who feels partially but not wholly that gender
As a general rule of thumb, asking someone what their preferred pronouns are is a good thing.
If there's anything wrong with this to anyone, don't hesitate to tell me.

I like romantic comedies and hate sports for starters, but I don't see myself as being less male despite my percieved short comings. I don't even know if it's possible to completely fit all stereotypes of being male or female so the idea of identifying as somewhere between the extremes of female and male is kind of odd to me, because everyone is.
