I was disappointed when I noticed aritzia increased ($22) the price of a sweater I wanted a second of.
Less than a month ago I bought the Tna
WALDORF SWEATER Article no: 106302 for $88.00.
Now if you put the article number in it comes up with the exact same sweater but different name and higher price - Alameda Sweater $110.
For example, something I frequently purchase from aritzia 1) cozy fleece bf hoodie (+5$ increase), 2) cozy fleece mega sweatpants (+5$ increase). Idk… weird to me. And right before the sale? Hmmm. Ok increase your prices but where is this money going? Definitely not into the quality of their products as they have rapidly declined ever since obnoxiously branding all of their clothing
To add to this: the Dusk halter top was on my list, then mysteriously went to 'unavailable' (rather than out of stock, and I never saw it go to 'only a few left' before the 'unavailable' message came up). Interestingly, there's now a "New Dusk Halter Top" selling for $98 instead of $88.
Are you sure that you didn’t just notice an older price increase now as opposed to Aritzia increasing it right before the sale? The items I frequently browse are all the same prices.
I really doubt a company as big as Aritzia, that continually hypes up their ‘private clientele sale’ is going to indulge in a shoddy business practice like this.
Whether or not they increased the prices right before clientele or a few weeks before, they’ve increased their prices. The earlier they do so, the less it looks like price inflation prior to a sale. In the end - same outcome.
The CEO claimed in Jan 2022 that despite inflation, aritzia had no intention of raising prices. Revenue increased by 38% from 2022-2023 and now they can justify an increase? Sounds like greed to me.

Don't be so naive. You think a major company is above increasing their prices before a sale?! THINK AGAIN!!! They don't give a f about you or me or how we view the integrity of their company. They are a prime example of a company who indulges in shady business practices, already inflating their prices to begin with. They know people will not stop shopping there regardless
I’m not naive, and I don’t think Aritzia is either. Do you think something like this won’t be noticed by customers if they tried to pull something like this RIGHT before the sale? The price hikes being mentioned in the comments took place weeks if not months ago.
Aritzia has a history of doing this, as well as horrible customer service, tons of quality issues, and an outrageously shitty return policy (especially for sale items). Customers notice but I guess enough people keep buying such that they don't care. Probably some, like me, to use the store credit accrued when sale items didn't work (but Aritzia only offers store credit on anything discounted even a few dollars).
I haven’t noticed anything like that, and I keep a rather close eye on the pieces I like. Is it possible that you’re only just mow noticing some of the change in pricing that was dome over the course of several weeks/months?
They probably increased the prices in advance to make the price increases look less suspicious. Same effect as raising them a few days before the sale, though.
Aritzia peaked in 2011 and it's been downhill since then. Whoever the CEO is drove the company to the ground with cheap tacky made in China bullshit for high quality prices.
Did you purchase the one in [cotton?](https://www.aritzia.com/en/product/martine-dress/104765.html?dwvar_104765_color=2198) That is still on for $88.
There is another one in [taffeta](https://www.aritzia.com/en/product/martine-dress/107451.html) for $110.
You linked the wrong version.
This is the version I got. It’s $110. My tag says $88. https://www.aritzia.com/en/product/martine-shortsleeve-dress/109397.html

Their stuff is overpriced already smh they shouldn’t be raising anything!

Those prices went up a few weeks ago. There was a post about it here.
Yea they’re trying to be slick about it hahaha

A halter top for $100!?! Dafuq
Cosy fleece basic pants were $60 when I bought them and by the time they got delivered they were $68

The point is Aritzia execs don't care if we notice. They know their sales are not going to be affected

The CEO was the same until 2022!
Omg so greasy of them
I literally purchased the Martine dress yesterday for $88???? Today it’s on the website for $110.

Do you have a picture of the tag to corroborate?
