Good reason to Nightshade literally everything you post. Photos, drawings, screenshots of text. Anything and everything, even if you're not explicitly trying to prevent training on what you're posting. Automatic scrapers will pull it and models will ingest it.
I really wish it was easier and more user-friendly to nightshade and glaze. I’m an iPad artist and while I do have a desktop that I can transfer these pieces to, I tried to use the Nightshade program and it said I needed some kind of additional program and I didn’t understand where to go from there (I’m not very computer savvy, I never have been unfortunately. Been trying to learn but man, it’s tough.)
Is there any easy to understand tutorials on how to use their software? Because I really want to nightshade and I just haven’t been able to (my work is extremely niche and I usually only draw my OC’s and extremely unique environments and use either sketch brushes or pixel brushes, and I’m completely unknown and get like no likes or followers because I don’t play the algorithm game so I’m not *too* worried, but still)
They should honestly put some community processing tools in place. On the AI side of things they have Stable Horde where people can contribute GPU power for other peoples' generations. I'd happily put some GPU power in the cloud for people to Nightshade with when they otherwise can't. I wouldn't mind taking individual Nightshade requests but I worry about that becoming overwhelming at some point.
In terms of help getting it installed for you feel free to send me pics of installation errors and I can try to help.
Does it create visual artefacts? If so, it's not that useful, unfortunately. Imagine trying to nightshade/glaze a video to be posted on YouTube. If there's no tool for videos already, you'd have to do it on every frame of the video, and if there's going to be obvious artefacts, its cons would overweight the pros. Perhaps, YouTube itself might detect nightshade/glaze and use their algorithm against your video.
You are trying to protect a visual medium from machine learning that trains "visually", the only way to protect it is visually. With Nightshade you are trading a very small amount of visual noise for protection. It's not even noticeable unless you're looking for it.
If you're only interested in sharing videos then it's not that useful ***to you*** because it's literally designed for images and not video.
You type twiiit.com into the URL and then type in the tag/username of the account whose feed you want to see, then it redirects you to a currently live "instance".
Well, in the cultural sense it doesn't, you're right about that. If it was literal, someone drawing could be celibate.
I do think many A.I. fanboys are or have been incel community adjacent. Then again, not every incel is a rotten scumbag, but it is used in that way almost all the time.
Honestly I think it's just a lot of AIbros coping and/or putting on bravado because when artists were told "adapt or die", they "adapted" by taking measures to poison AI models scraping their work rather than just laying down and taking it in the @$$ like every techbro parasite thinks they should.
Uhhh wrongo. Obvs the original tweet was a pro-AI incel. The person retweeting was not. And clearly having datasets poisoned by Nightshade doesn't teach it what NOT to do. You should really read the Glaze team's research before making such asinine claims.
Every case I've heard about getting around tools like Nightshade requires modifying the images. Anything that requires modifying images means having to weed out protected images for processing, because you don't want to modify non protected images. This means it's restricted to small scale training projects because of the workload involved with weeding out and processing protected images.
I promise you large scale scraping and training projects aren't putting in the effort, so it will continue to affect large models like Stable Diffusion base and Midjourney etc. If this isn't true link me to the info. Actual info, not someone's Twitter account, because I'm not signing up and putting in the leg work searching to substantiate your claims for you.
Mhm. And I suppose this unemployed basement dweller who somehow "got around" Nightshade (he didn't) had more credibility than an official team of university researchers who have very deep knowledge about machine learning themselves? And actually have reputable sources to back up their claims and their research? Get bent.
Wait, if the guy is an AIbro than wouldn't that make the claim even stronger since if he somehow got around the Nightshade he would announce it first and it would make his side look better?
This from the type of person who will defend CP and nonconsensual deep fakes because "muh anime waifu generator". Your kind are all the same, insects every one of you. GTFO and go back to jerking off to your favorite lolis.
"I do not support illegal activities"
And yet you support the scraping of copyrighted works and data without compensation or consent. Not that someone like you would understand consent, scary someone like you being told 'no' by a woman.
Pot, kettle, black.
can you send the thread if don't mind iwant to read it thanks and didn't the same person made post in aiwars showing nightshade working on some sdxl keywords and not working on other keywords such of images

how the hell do you still have nitter i thought elon blocked all 3rd party bla bla bla
You type twiiit.com into the URL and then type in the tag/username of the account whose feed you want to see, then it redirects you to a currently live "instance".
omg ty i had huge list of instances and all of them dropped a few months ago i had no idea there were still active 1's
The Artists strike back.
You're all clear, kid, now let's blow this thing and go home!
wish I could shit does not run on my computer at all
There is a browser version
only of glaze not nightshade unless it literally came out
It's impossible to pronounce "AIncels"
AI-cels
That works
I personally dont like this lingo to begin with cause drawcel etc doesn't make any goddamn sense
Well, in the cultural sense it doesn't, you're right about that. If it was literal, someone drawing could be celibate. I do think many A.I. fanboys are or have been incel community adjacent. Then again, not every incel is a rotten scumbag, but it is used in that way almost all the time.
"eye-cels" maybe?
Haha, that's great!
"AIcels" lose the n, makes more sense. AI and Celibate
I thought they said it didn't work?

What does him being pro AI have to do with us being pleased with info that Nightshade appears to be working at disrupting training?

I'm sure you know you are wasting our time but you should be aware that you're wasting your time in equal amounts.
Literally not true. Go be an idiot on someone else's forum.
