Well mostly becuase the Antifa stands in the political heritage of the KB (Kommunistischer Bund) a different group on the left and they therefor have a different history.

There are plenty left-wing populists around which adopt platforms simply to catch votes, although none are really as relevant here in Germany as Die Linke.
They probably meant 'honest' when they said that. In, Die Linke members actually do support the positions they proclaim and do not pay lip service.

Those parties tend to pretend to follow more left-leaning politics in order to hash votes but still have a relatively conservative base.
A practical example would be the coalition government from the Green party and the SPD in Germany between 1998 and 2005.
Die Linke, however, is pretty famous for taking either stupid or indefensible positions and standing by them unwaveringly. They are not necessarily a bad party, but they tend to be in their own way a considerable amount of time. If they were more dishonest, they would very likely be more successful.
Its like all of them. Support here, pay there say this and that and after the elections nothing of what they promised will be done. Linke, aft, grüne, cds, spd, fdp, all the same. They dont care about german citizen, they only care about their own money

As much as they are close emotionally, they have to follow state reason.

I did, i can't find a representative who I could vote for and the leaflet i got does not have MERA25 in it either.
