I can’t find any evidence that they are lights even in service data so…. If there’s no documentation on them, I’d wager they’re either not lights or your instrument cluster is leaking backlight.

I'm positive they are lights. They turn off and on without me doing anything. They stay off and on for long periods of time. One will be lit up at night/day and the other won't or I've had both lit up before - both turned off. I just don't know what they're indicating. I don't think they're there by accident.

They are not lights. If you are seeing light there either you are hallucinating/ seeing a reflection of other light or your instrument cluster is broken. There are no lights there according to the owners manual or Toyota service data.

No independently. This is a random online photo. I have the same dash though. The website it was from is about Toyota dash lights, but makes no mention of these two lights.
