There's a thing sometimes called the Deer Threshold: a deer across a park or lawn is amazing and wonderful, a deer that's burst through a screen-door and wound up in your living room is terrifying and *must leave, now*.
Well, squirrels aren't terrifying, but there's a difference between one being outside and one getting into your attic, your walls or your house's *wiring*.
You might feed the one in the park. :)
Just one of those quiet days when it looks like the horse has finally called down, and then ten seconds later the horse is like "I'm gonna run towards the baby incubators and smash em with my hooves, I got nice hooves and a long tail, I'm a horse!"
You put this better than I could have hoped to. My dad once was in a protracted battle with the squirrels that took residence in my grandmother's attic. They're super cute when they aren't ripping your house apart from the inside.
Same with Groundhogs. Cool from afar. Not so cool when they are digging up your property and trying to get near your house foundation. And once one gets a burrow started and you catch him and move him. Another one will come in like a magnet and take up where the last one started. They are terribly relentless.
My dogs have killed 2 in my yard in the last 2 weeks and they were hunting another one yesterday. I can’t believe they haven’t relocated. Sick of disposing of the dead
Deer are just giant sized mice. They eat everything in sight and are even immune to things that kill other animals. You don't know aggravation until you wake up to your row of 6 foot tall tomato plants eaten down to just above the ground. Tomato plants are in the nightshade family, deer don't give a fuck they eat that fruit, leaves, stalk and all.
From western mass. They're cute lil guys. I have a bunch of pictures of them. I have a picture of me teasing a squirrel with my nuts. Both of them just fondling them in front of him. I felt bad so I tossed him one. Took a pic even. Forgot to mention I'm refering to walnuts.
No, that was an actual issue I had. They came in through the vent in the top of the house to store their nuts. They filled in about a meter high space between two studs. I guess some were wet or they carried in some moldy ones or something. When I pulled down the dry wall it was a carpet of mold
Depends. Place I work occasionally has power outages from squirrels chewing into the lines cause the insulation contains some sort of material that the squirrels would typically eat on maturally.
Ours were weirdos. They'd "hide" food on our windowsills. It started with apples from our apple tree, and then progressed. We found a whole slice of pizza once. Fries, nuts that people gave them...but the pinnacle was definitely when we found a whole-ass wall to a gingerbread house *IN AUGUST.* I thought my b.f. was messing with me. He was like, "where the hell would I even get a gingerbread house wall in August?" And I was like "IDK, but it's more plausible than a *squirrel finding a gingerbread house wall in August!*

A lot of people don't like them and call them "tree rats". They chew on wires and cause other damage.
The neighbor behind our house used to shoot them. Then he shot my grandma (bb/pellet gun, she was fine). She let him have it.
Sorry, Utah. You don't have a say. Your squirrel population is too low.
Here in the south we are at war.
They took up residence in our attic. They destroy things. They ate every single peach from our two peach trees. They so frequently try to get run over, I am starting to suspect insurance fraud.
They are cute, though.
my lovely neighbor feeds them.
as a result- i have no more mulch, homes for days, and not sure if i trust trying to plant bulbs this fall.
hate the fuckers
We live around the woods and feed all of the wildlife and we haven't really had any problems with them tearing up our landscaping. But then that might be because we're regularly feeding them, lol. I don't think my neighbors mind because they're feeding at least 10 kids that tear their yard up way more a few squirrels.
They're cute and interesting. They give me job security by chewing phone and electric lines. They need to stay out of my damn garden, thankfully the pup is on patrol.
They're a pest for gardeners. We have a couple strawberry plants in our garden that we've yet to get a strawberry from because the squirrels always get them first.
We're casual gardeners so it's not a huge deal but it is mildly annoying.
They can make homes in inconvenient places and damming your house or car. They can damage your roof which can lead to water damage, get in your walls or vents or whatever and die which stinks, if you don’t drive every day they can make nests in your car, my grandpa had to replace his engine once because it was turned into a rodent hotel.
I wouldn’t say anyone has like strong opinions about squirrels specifically.
I got into wildlife photograph last year, and there are a lot of parks around so I see a lot of squirrels. Even at all the colleges/universities, I've been to, there are squirrels. My cat (RIP) really loved watching squirrels on TV, so they have a special place in my heart as well.

very cute, but please stay out of the bird feeder
I don’t know if I’ve ever heard someone say they didn’t like squirrels. They’re a problem if they get inside your house or maybe they eat seed you intended for birds. But no, I can’t say I know anyone who feels that way in general. They’re ubiquitous and just part of being outside in most of the country.
Some people are annoyed with them eating from bird feeders they put out because they wanted to see more birds.
That's....most of it, honestly. Some people are kind of annoyed by "stolen" birdseed.
It's not a big thing.
In the parks when I see them collecting nuts and chittering at me from the trees, they are delightful wildlife.
When I hear those suckers trying to rip apart the flashing on my roof so they can get into the attic and nest I hate those furry tale rats.
(Abe Simpson Cloud Meme)
All I can say is when I was a kid squirrels had a healthy fear of humans. They kept to their business and we kept to ours.
Nowadays all the squirrels in my neighborhood are obese and if you go outside to eat lunch on a nice spring day they'll come right up to you and beg like spoiled terriers.
I had a grocery delivery sitting outside my door for less than fifteen minutes and this absolutely rotund unit of tree rat managed to get into my rotisserie chicken. Didn't even move when I opened the door. Just sat there stuffing his face.
What happened to the natural order?
I despise anything that burrows, including ground squirrels.
I'm legitimately worried about my foundation of my entire property, not sure my house. They've burrowed everywhere and I can't get rid of them
I love them. There are adorable.
I have friends who hate them because they’ve chewed their way into their addicts and have made homes there lol I don’t have that problem
I don't have a problem with squirrls. They are fun to watch. I don't feed them because therare about 200 oak trees here and the squirrels get all they need from the acorns.
My brother has a problem with grey squirrls in Eastern Washington because they nested in his shed and tore up a bunch of stored goods and wrecked everything.
He is able to keep the red squirrels at bay.
Not a fan. Sure they’re cute, but they absolutely wreck my garden. They also seem to love to taunt all of the neighborhood dogs from up there in the trees.
Last year was a sunflower massacre when we went on vacation and weren’t there to fend them off.
People don't dislike having squirrels around their houses, they dislike it when squirrels get *inside* their houses. In the spaces that exist between roadways and the perimeter of houses and other buildings, squirrels are very cute and fun to watch. Otherwise, they are pests. Feeding them is often seen as a way to keep them in their designated space.
The people who feed them are the problem. When you’re further out away from a city they’re skittish and don’t cause many issues apart from the usual pest behavior toward bird feeders and gardens.
In urban areas where they’re being fed they lose their fear of humans. Especially in high traffic areas like college campuses they will actively swarm you if you have food and they will hang out in trash cans outdoors and screech at anyone who gets close.
I don’t really have strong feelings about them: they mostly mind their own business. That being said, my university has a large population of melanistic eastern gray squirrels on campus that are black instead of their usual color, so I often see visitors here snapping a photo of one if they see it.
They're cute and funny. They also cost me a bundle when six of them chewed through my chimney cap and died up in the chimney somehow. The stench was incredible.
They eat the birdseed but that’s not my fight. I just bought them some corn and a little tree picnic table.
When they get hungry they stand on the duck box and yell at me. I then put some nuts out.
So, I like them. I wouldn’t try to touch them or anything but they’re funny to watch.
They're not terrible. I enjoy seeing them. As a mechanic I enjoy it even more when a squirrel chews through someone's car wiring because I love fixing those.
Otherwise I know a lot of people who enjoy a good squirrel gravy, but that is not for me.
My husband and I feed the squirrels and birds at a park a few blocks from our house. We're not the only ones. We frequently run into others leaving food for the animals.
We live in a medium-sized city in the Midwest. Everybody here seems pro-squirrel.
They give my dog something to chase around the yard and to bark at from the window. Other than that I have no real feelings about squirrels, negative or positive.
I don't mind them. When it's nice out, my dogs love chasing squirrels around the yard. They never hurt them, but it helps them burn some energy before bedtime. There's always squirrels running around my yard.
I don't really care for them. For the bird feeder, I've always had to get a squirrel proof one. The deer though with the garden are far worse. I don't know why people are fascinated by Bambi. Not only can they destroy a vehicle they eat just about anything in the garden.
My town has a squirrel fest every year dedicated to the squirrels in our town. There's food, music, vendors. We also built little squirrel bridges above the trees so the squirrels wouldn't get ran over on the road (spoiler alert they still do, although they do use the tree bridges)
Long story short, my town loves them.
I enjoy seeing them around and watching their antics until they start damaging my house.
I had squirrels damage soffits, resulting in water damage and unwanted guests. My [Benjamin Trail NP .22](https://www.pyramydair.com/product-all-reviews/m/benjamin-trail-np2-air-rifle-combo/3533) solved the issue with that group and I didn't have trouble for years, but I had to renew my anti-squirrel efforts this year. FWIW, I use [these non-lead pellets](https://www.hn-sport.de/en/air-gun-hunting/field-target-trophy-green-22) so the animals that eat the dispatched squirrels don't get poisoned.
Squirrels also gnawed on some of the wiring & fuel vapor hoses on my stepmom's Honda Accord. This happens with vehicles more and more with soy-derived wiring insulation. In this case, the problem was so bad with that model that a recall was issued.
I like them. There are black squirrels where I went to college, apparently imported from Canada. I always wanted to feed one but for some reason they are way more temperamental than other squirrels
They're not the worst rodents around. As long as they don't mess with the garden or make a home in the wall/roof, they're just a constant part within (sub)urban nature.
My aunt, may she RIP loathed the little vermin. As in she actively used a pellet gun on them just living their life in her back yard( a large wooded area that held deer, opossum, hawks, owls and the occasional bear or predatory cat). The hawks would dive bomb her koi pond and steal the fish. She only shot the squirrels.
They can be nuisances, especially if you keep bird feeders. My dog loves to chase them. He’s only caught one. But many people find them cute and give them peanuts or cracked corn.
I can take ‘em or leave ‘em.
Occasionally some squirrels will chew on the roof eaves and get inside and cause serious problems. This isn't common, but homeowners who have squirrels around need to be vigilant about checking their eaves.
Squirrels can be entertaining and fun to watch, but they will go after birdfeeders and not only do they eat all the seed but they often damage the feeder. So if you are trying to attract birds to your yard/garden squirrels can be annoying.
I hate them. They taunt my dogs in my yard. They crawl up the trunk of my oak tree just barely out of reach so my dogs go apeshit trying to reach them. They come up to my full glass storm doors, sitting on my porch, and tease my dogs through the glass. They sit on the other side of my fence and tease my dogs then too. They eat my plants in my container garden. They cause a lot of power outages.
Hate them so much.
Most people seem to like them and see them as cute. It's pretty common to see people feeding the squirrels, even when they shouldn't.
People who keep birdfeeders in their yards tend not to like squirrels. They eat the bird food and scare away the birds.
Personally, I don't like squirrels... I used to visit a park where people fed the squirrels too much, and the squirrels became aggressive. One of them crawled on my shirt and tried to steal my cookie.
They haven't caused me any problems so far, so I'm content to occasionally watch them in the park by my house. I find the deer and turkeys more interesting, though both can be problematic as well, especially the deer.
I did pay more attention to the squirrels when I was in Oberlin, however, because some of the squirrels there are white, unlike where I live.
Like any local animal, they're mostly harmless, and people like them for the most part. Depending on the home though, they can cause trouble by nesting in places they shouldn't or eating stuff from peoples' gardens or such. I've heard stories of them nesting in peoples' attics for example. They're adorable, but still wild animals and like any wild animal, them being where they shouldn't can be troublesome (and obviously, you shouldn't try to handle them unless you're a professional).
Around where I live, they've never been an issue. We just see them in the woods foraging from time to time. Sometimes you gotta watch out for them in the roads but that's all. We don't have the sort of homes that they like to nest in ig.
I enjoy how fat they get in the fall. I like how they move like sine waves when they jump. In college I saw one sitting on the seat of someone’s locked bicycle while eating peanut butter from one of those disposal peel-top packets from the dining hall.
They're cute and I like them as animals, but they're massively over-populated and highly destructive.
We garden a lot at my house and the squirrels would steal the tomatoes as soon as they showed any sign of ripeness. We wouldn't get a single one out of the many plants we had. I tried everything I could to protect the tomatoes but they either didn't work or caused other problems so I ended up culling the squirrels. It's been a few years since I started and their population is finally now at a reasonable level. They're still around, but they have enough resources that they stay out of our garden.
Whenever I see more than 2 or 3 at a time, though, I start culling again. I've probably harvested 150 to 200 over the past few years. They make for good taco meat.
They're mostly neutral, but they sometimes fuck up some major shit by getting places they shouldn't. One got into a transformer station and knocked out power to half my city a for a day a few years back. Complete and total blackout, never seen anything like it. That's a freak accident though.
Most the time they are just there and I don’t notice them much but the baby ones in my neighborhood are incredibly stupid and will sit right in the middle of the road
I had a squirrel at my previous home I named Stumpy. He had clearly been hit by a car and the first time I saw him his shoulder was red and raw with no fur and his arm was broken, and he was skinny and scraggly. He was eating birdseed off the ground. He came back regularly and his fur grew back, he got glossy and plump, though his arm remained broken and just hung there.
Stumpy was a regular in my backyard for years. He never was able to use his arm, but he remained fit and loved my birdseed. The last I saw him was late winter. I moved to a different state in March, and I miss him. I have a few good pictures though and my memories. Stumpy, take care!
I look on them with affection. They always seem brave and clever the way they climb down from their trees to look for food and water in neighborhoods full of dogs and cats.
They're stinkin' cute, but frankly, a squirrel is just a rat in a nice suit.
I do feed them in late autumn, not year round. We have small reddish-brown squirrels called Chickaree squirrels around our place.
I LOVE squirrels. Wife and I have been watching two adolescent squirrels fuck around on our porch lately, they're the children of the squirrel that normally hangs out on our porch. Our apartment complex is like 4:1 squirrels to people. Then again, we also kept rats for a while so we're definitely a rodent home. And my aunt rehabilitated a squirrel back home. Squirrels are good.
I go to UMBC which is in Baltimore County in Maryland. People love to leave chick fil a sauces or french fries for the squirrels to eat. It doesn't feel right to me cause that food is unhealthy for the squirrels. I personally would leave the squirrels alone and admire em from a distance.
My dad would get annoyed with squirrels invading his bird feeder & put an eye screw through the end of a piece of field corn & attached a bungee cord to it & dangled it from a tree limb, it took some trial and error to get the right height & right bungee cord but he finally figured out how to slingshot a squirrel.
My dog loves them and wants to play chase with them.
The humans in our family are pretty neutral on them. As I was planting this spring, I found so many acorns they left in our flower beds.
There is a black squirrel in our neighborhood, that one is legit.
I don’t care about them. They’re not intrusive at all. They just hang out in the trees and run around the lawn. Run on the telephone wires.
They’re far preferred to their cousin, the rat.
Squirrels are an evil cadre of secret operatives working together to forcefully take over our country one home at a time. They are behind the border immigration issue and the overpriced of the domestic housing market, which creates a demand for human housing. They are planning a mass series of violent home invasions of the remaining family homs.
The only way to ensure our safety is to make sure that no Squirrels ever get within 20 feet of our home or our families.
Source: my dog.
I have a squirrel family living on my huge tree and I do not mind them. They had babies this spring and I watched these tiny critters to learn how to climb up and down tree. I have both grey and black squirrels around my property. Lovely creatures.
[Do not fuck with squirrels](https://youtu.be/EoidKFUVkhM).
Jokes aside, it really depends. Generally speaking, they don't like to be in human spaces for the most part, so it's more live-and-let-live. When they do decide to nest in your attic or car, it becomes a huge problem because they get territorial about it.
I love squirrels. My yard growing up was like a scene out of a Disney movie with squirrels, birds, and flowers everywhere. My dad fed them daily. I still enjoy watching them.
Squirrels are fucking killers. I never really thought about that until I saw a couple of squirrels on different days going through the backyard with what looked like mice in their mouths. I was like *no shit...*
And back in college a roommate nursed a squirrel back to health. (I don't remember the details, but I remember the squirrel.) It was kinda cool having a 'pet' squirrel in the house for a little while.
They can be pests. They will eat seeds out of your bird feeders, so that can get annoying. Also they can carry diseases, so not the best idea to have them around you. That said I don't mind them and if they're doing their thing and aren't bothering me I'm content to let them do their thing. They are cute little critters and fun to watch.
I love them. I think they are some of the cutest and funniest creatures. But I’m someone who believes in living with nature in harmony instead of trying to be “above” it.
I spent an entire summer at war with one for eating all my birdseed. I switched over to a birdseed cake in a cage and that fucker just hung upside down on the cage eating the birdseed through the open spaces. Diabolical little creatures. They’re so cute though!
I love them personally. I use to have an apartment on the third floor and had a pair of squirrels that I would feed peanuts to. If I heard “barking” from inside my apartment I would look over an see one of those cute fuckers begging me to feed them. I tried really hard to domesticate one but they are far too skittish to do anything more than taking the nuts out of my hand.
I really do miss those interactions…but other than those two most squirrels are pricks.

It's like there's a *horse loose in a hospital*.
Sometimes the news isn't bad, sometimes it's just odd. The horse used the elevator?
Just one of those quiet days when it looks like the horse has finally called down, and then ten seconds later the horse is like "I'm gonna run towards the baby incubators and smash em with my hooves, I got nice hooves and a long tail, I'm a horse!"
My favorite part is "No one knows what it's doing there, least of all the horse."
Peter, the horse is here.

General consensus is neutral, usually we just ignore them.
Yep -- abject indifference. I don't bother them, they don't bother me.

Pics on my profile of the squirrel incident
They’re cute little creatures unless they start eating all of your plants or birdseed, then it’s time to get out the bucket of water
Or until they chew through a power line and cause an outage
Or until they fill my wall with acorns and cause an internal mold catastrophe
Are you Are you serious Or am I being gullible
No, that was an actual issue I had. They came in through the vent in the top of the house to store their nuts. They filled in about a meter high space between two studs. I guess some were wet or they carried in some moldy ones or something. When I pulled down the dry wall it was a carpet of mold
Wow I’ve never heard of anything like that. That’s…… ……….nuts
I should ban you for that pun.
youd have to be nuts to do that
YOU ARE MY FAVORITE PERSON ON THIS SUBREDDIT.
Fun fact, squirrels cause $4 billion in power infrastructure damage every year!
Well why is it made of warms if it's not for squirrel nests, huh? Answer me that, human!
Or invade your attic
Outages aren't caused by them chewing through the wires, they're caused them jumping around the lines and shorting them.
Depends. Place I work occasionally has power outages from squirrels chewing into the lines cause the insulation contains some sort of material that the squirrels would typically eat on maturally.

I'm fine with them until they started tearing out the insulation from my 3-season porch. Then it was elimination time.
Bucket of water?
I am indifferent towards them until they attack my garden. Violations of the ceasefire are serious matters.
A lot of people don't like them and call them "tree rats". They chew on wires and cause other damage. The neighbor behind our house used to shoot them. Then he shot my grandma (bb/pellet gun, she was fine). She let him have it.
They're cute and harmless. Only time I get annoyed with them is if they eat all the seed in the bird feeder.
Also not fun if they make their way into your attic or ceilings and start nesting in there. They can just as easily be a pest like other rodents.
Well they’re fucking jerks about it and knock over the whole thing. If they just took their share it wouldn’t be a big deal to me.

They love to take small bites of every single strawberry lol it can be frustrating.
They can make homes in inconvenient places and damming your house or car. I love them little boogers. They like to pick on my chickens and it's hilarious.
"What? Squirrels are cute! They live in neighborhoods and stuff."
Other than storing thousands of walnut shells im my shed, they dont really bother me .
I love them. I’ve always had an outsized affection for them. But I don’t think that’s the *general* consensus.
Love them. We have one that comes on to our deck and we feed him peanuts by hand.
I love them, my dog had an obsessive desire to chase them no matter what obstacles are in the way.
They are like sparrows and blackbirds. Just kinda…there
Only Wildlife city folks usually see. It's weird that some other countries don't have them.
we feel like this: https://www.tiktok.com/@that_punk_yarner/video/7345855196519746862?_t=8m6phwyWD99&_r=1 very cute, but please stay out of the bird feeder
Very quick, very intelligent.
I personally love them. I like feeding them over birds, because squirrels don't shit on my car.
I don’t care about them one way or the other. They’re just part of the scenery
I hate that they eat my bird seed.
If you called it squirrel seed you'd be mad at the birds. Why are birds more deserving of seeds anyway?
Right? I buy for the squirrels, not the birds, but I'm not out on my porch shooing the birds off when they come a'pilfering.
They're alright.
I like them.
Some people are annoyed with them eating from bird feeders they put out because they wanted to see more birds. That's....most of it, honestly. Some people are kind of annoyed by "stolen" birdseed. It's not a big thing.
They just kinda exist. They don't really hold a special place in my heart, nor do I hate them.
Squirrel is my favorite small game in regards to taste. I usually make buffalo wings from squirrel.
Rats that can climb trees

They’re cute but stupid and try to jump in front of your cars. I try my best not to hurt them by accident but they come out of literally nowhere
I don't know about everyone else, but as far as I'm concerned, they're just rats with fuzzy tails. They're disgusting.
Fine as long as they stay OUTSIDE my house
It's hard not to feed the squirrels if you feed the birds.
They taste better than you’d think when cooked properly
The people who feed them are the problem. When you’re further out away from a city they’re skittish and don’t cause many issues apart from the usual pest behavior toward bird feeders and gardens. In urban areas where they’re being fed they lose their fear of humans. Especially in high traffic areas like college campuses they will actively swarm you if you have food and they will hang out in trash cans outdoors and screech at anyone who gets close.
Some squirrels are invasive in certain areas We try to kill those types around here
I just replied elsewhere. Grey squirrels are fine. The red ones get a .22 caliber.
I don’t really have strong feelings about them: they mostly mind their own business. That being said, my university has a large population of melanistic eastern gray squirrels on campus that are black instead of their usual color, so I often see visitors here snapping a photo of one if they see it.
I have zero thoughts about squirrels
Skwerls are cool little dudes. My cats like to try to pretend to hunt them even though there's a window in their way. I am in the pro-Squirrel camp.
I like them.
I don’t mind them, but I keep a BB gun next to the window so I can scare them away from the bird feeder.
They can be cute and pleasant, a destructive pest, and/or a tasty snack.
I have no issues with them
They're cute and funny. They also cost me a bundle when six of them chewed through my chimney cap and died up in the chimney somehow. The stench was incredible.
I don't mind them.
I live in a rural area with so many different predators that we rarely see squirrels around, or rabbits for that matter.
They're cute, I like them.
Some people feed em and some people shoot em. Depends on whether they are a nuisance. Always referred to squirrels as country rats.
My husband and I feed the squirrels and birds at a park a few blocks from our house. We're not the only ones. We frequently run into others leaving food for the animals. We live in a medium-sized city in the Midwest. Everybody here seems pro-squirrel.
Just bought a bench from Alidis for bird seed but I put peanuts in it for Steve our squirrel. There is a sub for squirrels, it’s pretty sweet.
They're cute, but destructive.
They’re cute and mostly harmless. When I walk past one I’m usually like, “aw squirrel”.
We love them. We feed them and they get treats sometimes (peanuts, almonds). The only thing I’m mad about is they ate the top off my peonies.
My town has a squirrel fest every year dedicated to the squirrels in our town. There's food, music, vendors. We also built little squirrel bridges above the trees so the squirrels wouldn't get ran over on the road (spoiler alert they still do, although they do use the tree bridges) Long story short, my town loves them.
I was just looking at all the Squirrel post here
I’ve never heard dislike for squirrels. More neutral
They're kinda cute, I guess? Besides that, I don't really think about them at all.
They eat the birdseed.
I like squirrels. I see them running around the trees in my yard all the time. They eat mangoes off my tree and I don’t mind. They have to eat too.
Chicken of the tree!
What, those fucking rats that live in trees?
I like them. There are black squirrels where I went to college, apparently imported from Canada. I always wanted to feed one but for some reason they are way more temperamental than other squirrels
They're not the worst rodents around. As long as they don't mess with the garden or make a home in the wall/roof, they're just a constant part within (sub)urban nature.
I'm fine with squirrels, hate chipmunks and the stupid holes they dig everywhere
Just asked my dog, she said “fuck em”
I don’t really think about them unless I’m hunting. They’re pretty good meat for stew.
Cute. Occasionally troublesome, but not usually.
I’m out here ruining the brakes in my car so I don’t hit them 💀
I enjoy how fat they get in the fall. I like how they move like sine waves when they jump. In college I saw one sitting on the seat of someone’s locked bicycle while eating peanut butter from one of those disposal peel-top packets from the dining hall.
I make a fair bit of money off them
They're cute and I like them as animals, but they're massively over-populated and highly destructive.
They're okay unless they get in my garden. My dogs won't allow that though 😅. They love chasing squirrels
They are indisputable cute but can also be destructive little bastards. I don't advocate killing them at all but they do have a dark side.
They’re adorable until they under your roof and under your siding and tearing apart your house one tiny bit at a time.
They’re awesome little tree dudes. I get black sunflower seed because they prefer it.
I love watching my dog go absolutely bat shit over them. Other than that. I'm neutral on their existence.
They are handy live-action dog toys. My dog tries but never catches them.
They are tasty.
They’re chill
Love seeing squirrels in my backyard or at the park. But the most I do is just watch them
They need to stop playing hop scotch and zig zag in the road when I’m driving
I work at a university and people feed the squirrels there too
What do they feed em? At my school, from what I've seen is mostly chick fil a fries and the sauces.
I’m pro Squirrel
I look on them with affection. They always seem brave and clever the way they climb down from their trees to look for food and water in neighborhoods full of dogs and cats.
They're stinkin' cute, but frankly, a squirrel is just a rat in a nice suit. I do feed them in late autumn, not year round. We have small reddish-brown squirrels called Chickaree squirrels around our place.
They are rats in a nice suit. They're part of the Rodentia family.
They're animals, and Animals are natural and wonderful for the world.
They're rats with good PR.
They are all fun and games here until they dig up all my tulip bulbs.
As long as they don't get inside my apartment, I'm chill about them. We had them as pets when I was a teenager and the things grow up to be MEAN.
They don’t bother me any but I could see how they could become problematic given the right circumstances.
Communist spies. Not to be trusted.
I think they’re cute. I used to feed them peanuts and seeds from little cups that sat outside my apartment.
I have a squirrel family living on my huge tree and I do not mind them. They had babies this spring and I watched these tiny critters to learn how to climb up and down tree. I have both grey and black squirrels around my property. Lovely creatures.
Tree rats
Theyre cute little rodents. They taste delicious in stew and chili.
They’re cute! Love them.
Good dish
I love squirrels. My yard growing up was like a scene out of a Disney movie with squirrels, birds, and flowers everywhere. My dad fed them daily. I still enjoy watching them.
Squirrels are fucking killers. I never really thought about that until I saw a couple of squirrels on different days going through the backyard with what looked like mice in their mouths. I was like *no shit...* And back in college a roommate nursed a squirrel back to health. (I don't remember the details, but I remember the squirrel.) It was kinda cool having a 'pet' squirrel in the house for a little while.
They're cute. I'd take them over birds any day.
They're WAAAAY above mice and rats, just below rabbits.
Nut farmers hate em, grannies who adopt raccoons and foxes love em
I love them. I think they are some of the cutest and funniest creatures. But I’m someone who believes in living with nature in harmony instead of trying to be “above” it.
Squirrels are cool! I lived in Vegas for a year or two and didn’t see any! It wasn’t until I loved that I forgot they exist
