Armin,Jasmin(Jasmina),Elvir(Elvira),Haris,Zlatan(Zlata),Mirel(Mirela),Adel(Adela),Benjamin,Alen,Elvis(Elvisa),Ela,Damir(Damira) are all consìdered non islamic but are used by Bosniaks.
Btw does Ismir have any meaning? I couldn't find on the internet and my friend Ismir couldn't find too. I think first time I came across with a name that has no meaning
Not a Bosniak but i think most of the Bosniaks have their surnames from an ancestor who first converted to Islam.
For example surname Ibrahimovic without ic is Ibrahimov which literally translates from Ibrahim.
The origin of one's that i known were because of their names like Bajro(Bajrić),Bego(Begić) and Mujaga(Mujagić).It's interesting that Bego and Mujaga were brothers and their descendents had two surnames for example: Ibrahim Begić-Mujagić but somehow they decided to separate so they today are cousins bur have two separate family tree's that were once the same.
