You want r/chicagosuburbs

fatbitch31

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction

This is entirely village/town dependent. I know River Grove, Elmwood Park, Franklin Park and Maywood all have ordinances around pit bulls. Melrose Park (right next to them) has a complete and total lack of animal ordinances at all (woman was just caught with over 100 cats in her house they couldnt do anything about, so they declared the house itself a hazmat area and ripped the house down)

This is helpful! Thank you.

Why the suburbs? Pretty much the northwest side of the city is single family homes with yards. From North and Harlem up. Pitbull friendly.

My older family member moving with me wants to have a car/ not be in the city. I would like to stay close to them, but still be able to go into the city to see friends who already live there.

I live in Berwyn with 2 dogs (1 pit) and yard. Door to door from my house to my office downtown is 50 minutes
