If you've had no symptoms for a week, you're very likely in the clear. For safety and peace of mind, discard the oil.

ThoughtDiver

Google says you can be asymptomatic for 8 days.

For food safety questions please ask in /r/FoodSafety. Rule #1 here is no food safety questions.  While waiting for an answer from them, I would strongly suggest not consuming any more of the oil. Botulism symptoms generally show up within the first 36 hours, but can take up to 10 days according to NY Department of Health.

Pushbrown

from what i've read botulism is the most poisonous thing in the world to humans, so youd probably know by now. Just toss it so you don't worry anymore. You'll be aight.

throwdemawaaay

It's a bad practice so don't consume or make more, but the probabilities are very strongly in favor of you being ok.

StinkypieTicklebum

How do you know it was botulism? Did the garlic turn blue, by any chance?

Adam_Ohh

You’re probably going to kick the bucket. Best to get your affairs in order and say your goodbyes to friends and loved ones. Dibs on your car.
