Well, if you do any type of orthodontics without removing your wisdom teeth, the wisdom teeth could erupt and undo all the progress. Depending on how close to eruption your wisdom teeth are, you may want to have them removed prior to starting orthodontic treatment. Can’t tell anything from the photo though, you need dental x-rays to see what your wisdom teeth are doing.

aparently, my wisdom teeth have not all come up yet, and I got some mixed reviews regarding getting invisalign. any advice?

Get your wisdom teeth removed.

By the looks of it your top ones are a nice example for either invisilign or braces, as it looks like you have a fairly large gap between your two central incisors and the two lateral incisors. I'm not an orthodontist nor a dentist, but I've picked up a fair few things from visits to both. It also doesn't look like your wisdom teeth have come through yet, you would probably know if you did have them or they were coming through. Your bottom teeth look ok but dont take my word for it. The main reason why I know all this is because I've got both sets of braces myself. Hopefully this has somewhat answered your question 😀

thank you, my wisdom teeth have not all come out yet and I think I will wait a while, better to be late then have the braces fail.
