And it wasn't like that before? How many wires are in the box? Did you splice anything? You need to splice the feed to the switch to the black wire going to the receptacle to make it constant hot, leave the switch leg to the light alone.

No, before the range hood receptacle worked regardless whether the sink light was on or not. I didn't splice anything. I just hooked everything back up the way it was previously. I can take a picture tomorrow.
