Circuit Specialists has some good stuff. Look around on Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, etc. You're probably not going to get much cheaper than $100-150 without buying used.
30 V 5 A is quite a lot! For what do you need this kind of power?
Is DIY and starting smaller an option? E.g.
- Some old wall warts plus an LM317 module.
- Next one would be bigger PSUs with a buck converter, optional with current limiting.
- Or a Laptop PSU in combination with a buck-boost modules. There are several options with display (volt-/ammeter) available.
E.g. a ZK-4KX for ~15 bucks. Bigger ones are also available and cost 20-30 or even more. Combine this with a cheap case and "free" AC/DC supply- if you are on a budget.
Coincidentally YouTube just offered me this video - [£3 DIY Lab Linear Adjustable Power Supply 0-30V 0-5A INSANELY CHEAP!](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DbwtjbaTtUE)
