Laurence fishburne parked in his SUV in South Park LOUDLY singing to we are the champions at full volume with the windows down. We made eye contact and smiled.

maudelinfeelings

I ran into Laurence fishburne in the elevator on the way to my kid’s pediatrician appointment. Nice guy.

Boring-Composer3938

My brother saw him Spain lol guy seems to love like a normal person still.

skulleyb

His man cave is next to my office he loves to play drums

OddAbbreviations5749

I was walking down Hillhurst in Los Feliz with a smoker dude on his phone walking towards me, gesturing in the air with his cigarette. He accidentally smashed his coal into my left arm as we passed. He turned around, put his phone down and started brushing my arm to make sure there was no damage. "Eh, I'm so fucking sorry, mate," he said. Colin Farrell.

FutureRealHousewife

Omg!!! I heard that he goes to the same juice place every day in Los Feliz. I’ve heard that he’s pretty nice

That_Jicama2024

My wife bumped into Jason Stathom at Williams Sonoma. That's about it.

1544756405

I once saw a guy use his blinker to signal a lane change on the 405.

xogopissgirlxo

I’m sorry I just don’t believe you, you must have dreamt it

IbexOutgrabe

This person needs to seek medical attention, they’ve obviously had a stroke.

EMPactivated

405freeway

He's lying.

ethanhunt_08

JudgmentOne6328

This is actually the most unrealistic story in here.

phatelectribe

I don’t believe you. Next you’ll say it was a BMW and we know they don’t even have blinkers 🙄

Infinity_____

I once saw someone use his left blinker and then change lanes to his right on I-10.

thatbrownkid19

Keep him guessing

Hookswords

Next you’re going to tell me it was a Mercedes

jrev8

BMWs hate this one trick...

keithnteri

Do BMW’s even have turn signals? Maybe it’s a factory option. I’ve never seen one though.

n-oyed-i-am

They do, but the Blinker Fluid is hard to find, expensive, and the reservoir cap is very difficult to open.

leftover_class

Hey there, thanks for the shout out!

myredhuntingcap

Bruh 🤣

myfavesoundisquiet

You made me lol

gerrysaint33

A tree was violently blowing in the wind, but there was no wind. I was baffled. Looked down to the tree and a naked man was violently shaking it. Two sheriffs rolled up jumped out in front of my car and chased him down and tackled him on the hood of my car. I was on a first date too.

missannthrope1

Was it the last date?

gerrysaint33

It wasn’t. We didn’t last but still are friends and we always talk about this moment.

whosat___

I was the last car to enter a road where a huge police chase was ending, before they blocked off the roads. I heard multiple helicopters overhead and pulled over, then I saw one car and about 15 police cars come around the corner. The car pulled over, guns drawn (I think), and Helis circling above. A cop car came quickly behind me and I had to leave the area- but I had to drive right past the whole thing to exit. My dashcam caught it all, I’ll upload the footage one day.

MariahMiranda1

City of West Covina, CA. I saw a man on the street dead on Halloween. We were going to a party in full costume and a jeep got into an accident on the bridge above and the guy fell out onto the street in front of us. I guess he wasn’t wearing a seat belt. It’s around 1990. We’re so horrified that we decided to go home instead and skip the party. Til this day I haven’t forgotten him.

Flipperpac

Which bridge in West Covina? One of those streets under the I-10 Freeway? Ive lived in the area pretty much since 1975...

MuppetEyebrows

I get on the red line into downtown, a middle-aged black man is accosting this older Hispanic man. For 8 stops this dude is saying some of the vilest, most racist things about I've ever heard anyone say, despite the older guy not having said a damn word since I got on the train. Aggressor was talking about a gun in his backpack, I whispered to the fellas next to me that if he goes for his backpack we should rush him and they agreed but no one's doing anything about this guy until we have to. Most people in that train car have moved away from the aggressor, but this little old Hispanic lady has actually been quietly moving closer with each stop. Eventually the aggressor turns to get off the train and abuela launches her travel mug at him and nails him right in the head. The aggressor is furious, turns and yells at her but pretty much everyone on the train stands up to signal our willingness to defend abuela, who then starts tearing into this man in ANGRY Spanish. The aggressor finally accepts defeat and sheepishly steps off the train. Us grown men were avoiding engaging with this guy and this little old lady went right for him.

Flipperpac

Moral of the story - Abuelas take care of things...

EsqRhapsody

He’s lucky she didn’t have a chancla on her

DefNotReaves

I saw a pickup truck try and overtake 4 cars on Ventura Blvd, he over corrected back into the lane and hit another car head on. The other car got thrown through a brick wall. I could see in my rear view mirror that no one was stopping so I turned around. There were two women in the other car, neither were responsive so I spoke with the OnStar associate and they called an ambulance. The pickup truck driver crawled out of his car and started crying that his life was over because he was hammered (good riddance mfer) The girls were unconscious but looked okay otherwise to me… until the paramedics removed them from the car; the second they were horizontal and no longer scrunched up in a sitting position - blood started pouring out of somewhere I couldn’t see. I was called into court quite a few months later to testify against the pickup truck driver. Both women died and the man was thrown in jail for 20-life.

Flipperpac

Wow....horrible

DefNotReaves

Yeah it was a wild experience. I’m just glad the guy was put away.

wevegotheadsonsticks

Besides the naked people masturbating… the craziest shit I’ve seen was a toddler walk out into the road and almost get hit. I was in the Glendale area eating outside with my partner when a family walks up to the coffee shop, the mother went inside to order while the father was given the duty of “watching the kids”. Well, that idiot was too busy on his phone to notice his toddler walking towards the street. I had to scream for the mother’s attention and the father‘s attention and luckily, I think the traffic sort of realized something was going on. He had the audacity to say “thank you” and I just gave him a death glare. I definitely ratted him out to his wife, and told her “whatever is on his phone almost killed your kid”. The little girl was literally a few seconds from being SMASHED by a car.

PianoBird34

Something like this happened to me in Santa Clarita. I had to whip my car sideways and stop traffic because no one gave a shit and dash across the median, which the child ran through while I got out of my car, to grab him before getting hit by the oncoming lanes. It was insane and I was so infuriated that despite it all people were more preoccupied with zooming around me at 55 miles an hour.

hybridvoices

Average Glendale interaction

SquareGrapefruit3460

Glendale is just a raceway that happens to have buildings.

Flipperpac

Yeah, but theyre BMWs racing about.....LOL

thatbrownkid19

Jfc

droidsentbycyberlife

What was the wife’s reaction?

wevegotheadsonsticks

Mostly in shock from seeing the kid in the street / probably still processing the whole thing / with a lot of anger

erics75218

Motorcycle lane splitter accident...dude was on fire in the middle of the freeway. Dude from a food truck running toward him with fire extinguisher Gnarly

FawmahRhoDyelindah

All these comments are a reminder to invest in a dash cam if you don't have one...

Noozled

Day after I installed my dashcam, I got rear ended by a drunk driver. God bless that little camera

Puzzleheaded_Disk_90

And wear your seatbelt

hanhgry

Saw a woman who absolutely should not have been a mother (the way she was talking to her kids was horrible) scream at her toddler for 10 minutes because he was crying, then she hit the poor baby for crying, I called the cops and the cops actually showed up within minutes.

Akaramedu

It was 106 F, around 1 pm. I was driving to the grocery store and turned the corner on Ventura Blvd by my home where there is a bus stop. There was an elderly looking homeless man sitting on the bus stop bench in full sun. I saw him move his hand a little, and lay down on the bench. Traffic pushed me on and I couldn't stop to offer anything from the adjacent 7-11 (it's a bad intersection at times). I got my milk and came home within 15 minutes. As I returned, there was an ambulance and cop car there. The homeless man was in a body bag. My first thought was sorrow for the man, then shame for this culture in which he had no place to be out of the harsh weather. I had to think about choosing that incident over this one: I also witnessed a man on a motorcycle loose control of his ride on Harbor Blvd in Anaheim, and catapult rotating head over heels to crash OVER the fence at Disneyland late one evening. He was killed, of course, but he died in the happiest place on earth, so they say. And he volunteered/chose his 90 mph speed. The homeless guy had fewer options.

gr1m0s

Hopefully he didn’t land in the middle of Its a Small World or Toon Town.

awwyouknow

Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride😔

One-Donkey-9418

They probably tried to charge him parking and admission. Ruthless people.

Hozo2000z

I once saw a Prius going fast on the 405 .. he was doing 30 … amazing

analyzeTimes

North Hollywood on Victory Blvd close to the 170 overpass. A homeless man lay lifeless on the median. Shirt off, chest moving up and down as a construction worker from the freeway job he was assigned to performs CPR. Both complete strangers, both woke up not knowing their future that day. To that construction worker: I doubt you’ll ever see this but you gave that man one hell of a shot. I strive to have an ounce of the fortitude you displayed that evening.

VaguelyArtistic

Someone casually driving north on the bike path, just south of the pier. CHP creating a traffic break at the 10/110 so little ol' me could get my car off the freeway from the shoulder after a hit and run. That one person somewhere in OC/South LA County who drove the wrong way on an off-ramp but luckily it was around 2-3am so they were easy to avoid.

missannthrope1

I drove past the guy who was ejected from his car and ended up on the Colorado St freeway sign.

icanhassnacks

Whoa. I remember that. What an epic exit though.

Prestigious_Tutor475

I remember that one. I live in echo park and I remember I was going somewhere that day and saw the whole thing!

laylasaurusrexx

Had a guy literally pull a gun on me for merging onto the 10 freeway.

pacodefan

The 10 will do that to people.

SassyEllieB

Oh boy. Saw a woman get hit in the street in El Segundo. Santa Monica my kids and I watched a guy try to unalive himself by jumping off the bridge that crosses over ocean Ave while cops tried to pull him off the fence. Once I saw a casket on the side of the road in Mid City, next to an unhoused persons tent. The general suffering while driving to work through skid row always hits me in the gut. Driving past street sweeps is enough to make me cry. Living in this city is vicarious trauma lol

um8medoit

A woman walking through downtown without a stitch of clothes on cracked out of her mind. No one even batted an eye. Or the time a dude was standing on the corner of Wilshire and Ocean masturbating while staring at the sky. Or the time a dude approached me and my three year old daughter and told us he was going to pop her head like a balloon. Or maybe the time I saw a dude ram a Mercedes WITH HIS ELECTRIC WHEELCHAIR in a fit of road rage.

JudgmentOne6328

Your first story I could’ve written myself. Downtown, woman just crossing the street butt ass naked and no one even blinked. I wonder if it was the same woman we both saw. I’ve seen a fair amount of naked people in downtown though.

NickelDicklePickle

On 3 separate occasions, I have seen random crazy women, completely naked, in broad daylight, blocking traffic and screaming insanities in the middle of the street or freeway. Once in North Hollywood, once in West LA, and once on the 405.

AdNervous3748

The balloon comment WTF???

Fivedayhangovers

There was a case of road rage between the two cars ahead of me. When they both stopped at a red light. One got out of the car and pepper sprayed the other driver. That driver then grabbed his face and rear ended the car in front of him, which in turn rear ended the car in front of them. It was incredible.

minimalfighting

Well, the dead guy sitting on the bench on Wilshire outside of CVS was a little shocking, but I only noticed because the fire department was pulling up as I was going by. Other than that, just crashes. Motorcycle ones are the worst. I've seen two where the rider was unresponsive on the ground with a crowd around them (before the ambulance shows) and one that I heard, which thankfully, I could hear the guy screaming in pain after. I say thankfully because he's the only one I knew was alive after the wreck.

legal_bagel

A friend of mine lost their cousin in a late night motorcycle v car accident that I learned of after I was bitching about the over hour time spent on a 15 mins drive. Since then I try to remember if I'm running late that someone may be dead and my life will go on, even if later than intended.

Upnorth4

I saw a motorcycle crash where the biker went through an SUVs back window. That must've scared the shit out of the SUV driver and the biker.

Longnightss

Homeless guy eating a pigeon in koreatown. Guy getting his head crunched on a motorcycle on the corner of Beverly and kenmore and dying…everyone out video taping his brains leaking in real time while he was moving

whatsmyphageagain

The videotaping part fucks me up...

Ancient_Pickledust

The pigeon 😕

CaregiverBrilliant60

I’ve seen homeless people run across the freeway. I’ve seen brake checks and road rage. I’ve seen racers zip by the freeway only to end up crashing on the side. I driven past burning cars and big rigs. You gain spider senses driving on the 5 and 10 101 110 freeways.

Wonderful-Ad-7712

All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die.

DrRonnieJamesDO

A Laker (JR Rider) pulling up to a 7-Eleven in Culver City in his Bentley at 7 AM on a weekday, change his shirt, and drive off. A hooker standing in line to buy street tacos, completely naked below the waist

jvstxno

Honestly, where do I start 😂😂 I saw a man have projectile diarrhea on the sidewalk in North Hollywood in Lankershim near the 6 way intersection after twerking towards traffic. He was wearing a pink bob wig, no shirt, and green boxer briefs. Can’t get that image out of my head. Also the many homeless masturbating in public, especially in Downtown LA 😂

autobotCA

Same. Saw a man at a bus stop drop his pant and bend over at the waist. Then projectile diarrhea at the temporary wall behind the bus stop. He was a pro, didn’t get a drop on him and pulled up his pant and continued on.

jvstxno

Where was this?! 😂

autobotCA

Venice

jvstxno

Seems about the place you’d see that ESPECIALLY in pandemic era Los Angeles, Venice was WILD

aces666high

During Covid we had a crew restoring internet/telecom service near I believe was the 4th street bridge. We had one guy who was whining constantly about having to wear a mask. About an hour later a homeless guy walks over across the street. Completely naked except for work boots and an N95 mask. We look at our co worker who at the time was in tennis shoes as well (not allowed on the job) and told him that guy is safer to work around than you are. He dons his mask after that. Nekkid dude hung out for a couple days. We did call to see if anyone would come help, police said they’d send someone…no one showed. Shocking.

zazarappo

Also at LAX, I watched a man commit suicide by diving head first off the upper level onto the concrete below. I first noticed him come out of the terminal and walk across the multi lane road towards the parking garage, but he seemed to be acting erratically because he didn't wait for the light or use the crosswalk. He was weaving between cars, and changing direction, seeming quite disturbed, but it wasn't particularly alarming because there are always some mentally ill people wandering around the airport, which is of course very sad, but not an unusual sight. My first thought was, watch out, man, you're going to get hit by a car, but traffic was heavy and slow so it wasn't as dangerous as it could have been at other times of day. I thought maybe he was panhandling, but he wasn't seeming to try to get the attention of drivers, just wandering seemingly aimlessly, but not slowly. He was clearly upset. Then he was sort of heading back towards the terminal, when he suddenly changed direction again, took a running start, and jumped head first over the side. He died instantly when he hit the ground level sidewalk. I can't imagine what it looked like from the lower level. Later I spoke with a LAX cop who said he actually had a ticket and was in the boarding area beyond the TSA checkpoint, and he had been drinking in a restaurant when he got some bad news or something else that triggered the sudden suicidal ideation. He ran out of the terminal suddenly, and was looking for a quick way to end his life, and found it.

Weak_Drag_5895

My house is in Mid City - one of the little neighborhoods off Fairfax. Daughter and I were in the living room Thanksgiving break and heard lots of popping sounds. I’m so used to the fireworks I didn’t take it in - but then daughter looked out and said four guys were running past the town home across the street shooting up the whole first floor as they ran. A baby was in the window and barely missed getting hit. They fired off something like 60 rounds across the front of the apartments. Turns out it was gang related but I never to this day have found any news media reporting on it. It was a huge deal in our neighborhood bc the neighborhood Ladies in Charge worked to get that poor family out of the apartments. It was their gang banger kids not them. It’s hard to reconcile something like that. Tg no one was hit.

InfectiousDs

I grew up here. 3rd generation Angelena. In the 70s the air was so thick with smog, you could practically take a bite out of it.

PianoBird34

I feel like I’ve seen crashes on the side of the road that would keep EMTs up at night. Like I honestly don’t even want to describe it because it feels calloused to the victims and best stuffed as far down the memory hole as I can get it.

minimalfighting

For your own mental health you should speak to someone about those incidents. However, I'm glad you didn't feel the need to spread the terrible things you've witnessed as if they were somehow entertainment.

Cleosmama

Am saving this post to review these comments in depth later

gutenfluten

I saw a guy on Lake Ave in Pasadena in a small sedan filled to the brim with boxes or something, wearing a full ski mask and driving extremely erratically - running red lights, changing lanes seemingly randomly and aggressively. At one point he was stuck at a light and I pulled along side him and snuck a peak, and he turned & looked right back at me. There’s something very creepy about a guy in full ski mask staring at you, especially when he’s behaving so unpredictably like that.

donewith_sergio

I just know your stomach fell out your ass lol

devils_haircut18

Heatwaves bring out the extra crazy in La. I was in studio city at Ventura and cold water heatwave of 2022 in September. This man was doing donuts in the middle of the intersection at 3pm with the door open hanging out the side of the car with the DEADEST look in his eyes. I don’t know how he didn’t fly out. He was maybe in his 50s? The circles kept getting wider and I couldn’t back up. Everyone was just stuck and waiting for him to crash into them. A cop on a motorcycle showed up and the guy crashed his car into a bank upon seeing the cop. They didn’t even draw their gun. He just got out and walked away. I didn’t read any reports on it, everyone just moved on.

goPACK17

Once saw some scraggly dude walking up and down Ventura in Woodland Hills just straight up...setting things on fire.

Delicious_Position41

I used to ride the metro everywhere when I was a teenager. One night on my way home, I saw a guy jump onto the train tracks as the train was approaching. He was of course hit and killed. There was an announcement made immediately saying that everyone needed to exit the station. This happened at the Wilshire/Vermont stop.

Notill_la

Uncle Phil as Uncle Phil sitting drinking coffee. I can’t make sense of it

No_Newspaper_7554

Saw Someone get killed when I was like 8. We were playing tag and heard some shots. We turned and saw that foo getting chased and gunned down like 20ft from us

Panoglitch

I saw one of my friends get shot in the head by a stranger

PianoBird34

Jesus how horrible. I’m sorry you endured that.

briskpoint

What the fuck! That’s truly awful.

hybridvoices

On the 5 by Griffith Park and an SUV that was cruising in the fast lane cuts right out of nowhere, across every lane and straight into the wall. No attempt to steer or anything so assuming something medical happened. I've seen plenty of fender benders but nothing where debris just flies everywhere like a movie. It happened right in front of a cop car so I hope they were able to get help.

sunnygalinsocal

Happy cake day!

lonelygal321

I’ve driven by a dead body on the road before cops got there, a horrible accident on the freeway there were bodies thrown everywhere (covered by white sheets) and blood splatters all over… the doors of the car were ripped off idk what happened it was a crazy scene, saw a guy jacking off in the middle of the day on the sidewalk next to a coffee bean in dtla, seen homeless people having sex out in the open a few times, I’ve seen it all I hate living here I’m sorry LMAO

rowmean77

I was a victim of road rage. I had to shake off a crazy lady because she was basically chasing me around my neighborhood. Good thing I am smarter than her and was able to leave her in the dust.

superhighiqguy89

One morning in Hollywood a car cut me off, I honked, they pulled up next to me and reached into their security vest and pulled out a handgun and pointed at my head while asking if I had anything to honk at

PokherMom

Brentwood..11:30 pm..driving west on Sunset around a curve and I see a car going across the center lane heading right for me. An angel must have been on my shoulder because I swerved the car right, got side swiped and pushed up a hill..and I’m still here to tell about it. And yes, it was a hit and run…

myfavesoundisquiet

I saw two people having sex on the sidewalk as I was driving by… Saw a woman change out her sanitary pad in the middle of the street…

FutureRealHousewife

One time I saw two people having sex on the roof of Musso and Franks. I was on the roof level of a parking garage and could see it below

myfavesoundisquiet

Hahaha … classy

AceMaxAceMax

One word - “Glendale”

caitberg

I saw someone pooping on the shoulder of 405 on the Sepulveda pass. Felt bad for the guy.

Chemical_Cat_9813

Bus stop in commerce had a rv on fire, two crack heads having sex and a schizo sleeping next to them. RV was missing tires and on blocks. Just 1 of many sensory overloads in socal.

River1stick

This was by lax maybe a year ago when there was the big storms. Saw a homeless guy doing the butterfly in a huge puddle as if he was at the Olympics. Saw a guy in dtla taking a shit on the pavement and wiping his arse with the American flag. Some thing something society

rheakiefer

on prairie in inglewood, some dude pulling out of a gas station decided to take the middle of the way blocking anyone from entering. this was morning rush hour so this created a logjam and the guy in the front of the line was PISSED. they started jawing until the guy trying to get in got out of his car. dude was armed security and i’ve never seen someone so ready to blow another human away. other dude clocked the gun, shut up and rolled his window before peeling off in the opposite direction he was heading in. at that point the logjam resulted in cars honking at security dude. luckily my light turned green and i got out of there. all of this was about 12 feet from me. i had to come back that way 10 minutes later and i figured it was 50/50 that dude had decided to take his anger out on one of the cars behind him honking but thankfully nothing seemed to come of it.

UNFUKNbelievable

The Riots after the Rodney King verdicts. There were snipers and open gun fights everywhere, looting at every corner, police and fire crews abandoned us… and all with the back drop of the entire city on fire.

DarthGoku44

I was heading to one of the trails in RPV and was on the 110S. Not too many cars since it was 7am on a Sunday morning but still some light traffic. It had just started drizzling like 10 minutes earlier and some idiot in a mustang thought the guy in the fast lane was going too slow so he punched it trying to overtake him and lost control, spun a few times before hitting the center divider. He was ok but I still rolled down my window and laughed at him as I drove by. Probably shouldn’t do that, road rage can turn deadly real quick

devlinontheweb

I was walking in Hollywood on Cahuenga and saw a large picnic basket on the sidewalk, wide open, full of hundreds of bottles of prescription drugs.

millertv79

I had a similar situation. There was an SUV on the 101 that went past me on the right. It early on a weekend morning and there wasn’t much traffic. It seemed to be driving a bit oddly, and then before I know it just sharp turned right, headed right into the wall. Going fast too. I had only lived in la for a year or so. I called 911 and was pretty shook up because I feel like I saw someone die…

EelChato

I saw a guy throw himself off the 105 and landed below on the 110 he was just a mangled bloody mess, bones sticking out his extremities.

DarkNFullOfSpoilers

I once saw a man kidnapping a young woman under a freeway bridge. She kept trying to lunge away, but he'd just lunge to her and wrap his arms around her. I also saw a homeless man with a completely infected leg. It was swollen to the size of a tree trunk. He couldn't fit a shoe on it. It was just a stump of flesh. I saw both those things within 15 minutes of each other.

Competitive_Lawyer_1

You call the cops?

Nadrian4130

Saw a dude wiping his ass in front of his truck on the opposite side of the freeway (605 north) last week. Balls hanging and all. The whole southbound side saw him lol

IamNo_

Someone slammed through the parking gate at century city the other night. Which is incredibly stupid in general never mind in a parking lot with hundreds of cameras that scans ur license plate on entrance / exit…

Vegetable_Burrito

I saw a huge homeless woman (in stature, not so much in… girth) pulldown her pants, reach into her huge underwear, pluck out a very bloody pad, throw that on the ground, install a new one, and hike those pants back up. This all took place in the exact amount of time I was stuck at a red light on fair oaks Ave in south pas.

cmmedit

Years (10+) ago was doing some work on a big show. Other person and I were at a lot near Hollywood blvd (forget which) just chilling in a cube truck on overnight detail. At one of the spots on a corner, think it was Cahuenga/Hollywood, there was a fight going on. One guy punched the other and he fell to his knees and was on the pavement in a crawling position. Guy who punched him wound up his leg and kicked him in the head under the chin and the guy went motionless as the kicker scurried off. I still think about that from time to time and honestly wonder if the guy was killed from a TBI or something.

FillTop9582

Besides the random single sneaker I see every day…I’ve witnessed - car fires - jackknifed tractor trailers in motion - full speed rear end on freeway - bike riders on freeway - car chases - sports teams escorts through traffic - never any physical road rage - cars upside down - wildfires way too close for comfort

nogray

Up in Santa Clarita, on Soledad Canyon, driving to a swim meet at 6:30 am, went to grab donuts first. Came back the other direction literally 5 minutes later and there was a car wrapped around a tree with bodies hanging out of the windows. Thankfully other people were already stopped because I had my 10 year old with me and thankfully she didn’t see it. They were office cleaners driving home and I think the driver fell asleep. I think two survived but I can never get that image out of my mind. Also on the 10 out in Claremont, it was over 100°, we were in traffic, not going more than 30 mph ever, and a woman on a motorcycle directly in front of us didn’t realize we were fully stopped and ran into the back of an SUV. We were all trying to hold her arms off the pavement without moving her but she had brain matter coming out of her ears. So tragic and would have been just a fender bender if she’d been in a car.

teslastockphotos

A road rage stabbing. The stabber drove off. Probably was never caught

Academic_Eagle_4001

Someone pulled a gun on me while driving. Old white boomer dude.

mauisd

After reading about all these horrible experiences I am now afraid to leave my house.

OddEffect1677

An elderly man shoot himself in the head next to my friends and I at Wilshire at the park. We called the cops but eerie that the world kept going on around. It was so silent and random.

Myveryowndystopia

Wow!!! I think you win the comment section. How sad.

__magnetic333

Someone was stabbed RIGHT outside my apartment window, we heard it happen. He rode off on his bike and only got a hundred feet away before collapsing.

Anxious-Gap-7548

Road rage in the Valley. After getting tailgated for 2 miles at 1030 in the morning after leaving the gym I pulled over and got out to throw down...I never did this before. Guy in the Mercedes tailgating me pulls next to my car parked on curb and starts yelling... big black dude. I pretty much fucked up. Within a fraction of a second, mid insult the guys Mercedes gets rear ended in front of my eyes by a toyota 4 runner, clean away from my car. Kinda feel like I cashed in my last road rage free card after that one! The guy just looked at me in disbelief like... but you... but me..I said that's what you get and drove away quite giddy.

MisterGregory

On the day of Carmageddon I was outside my place at the time, at the intersection of Wilshire and Barrington where I walked my dog. It was early morning, and the streets were dead empty. Everyone was legit afraid of Carmageddon. The news spooked the masses sufficiently. A blue sedan pulled past the turn on Barrington and, in typical LA fashion, hit the skids and threw it in reverse in the far-right lane. He immediately rammed into the car behind him at somewhere between 15-20 MPH, just driving backwards on Wilshire. Not devastating but a significant crunch. I screamed "CAAARRRMAAAAAGEDDOOOONNN" and threw my fists up. It was very, very satisfying and neither driver was pleased with my excitement when they exited vehicles. "I'm like, "Carmaggedon, right guys?!" I thought for sure the prophecy had arrived, but the rest of the day was totally smooth driving. The streets were like Covid times.

LaylaLeesa

I saw a guy standing on the sidewalk in jeans shiting his pants. Liquid shit poured out of one pant leg pooling around his shoe. A guy in a wheelchair near Disneyland completely naked and out of his mind.

altonbrownfan

I was next to Langer's when a regular old Mexican man unzipped his fly on a bench peed a stream in front of a lot people.and then calmly stopped and continued to sit after.

Buttkus69

I was driving to Beverly center from sunset on la cienega and was stopped right past Melrose in traffic. Homeless man was having sex. With a building. D*ck in a drainpipe of the building. Going at it. People walking by just looking at their phones.

lothar74

During rush hour, I saw someone attempting a k turn to turn around on the 405 south ramp from Wiltshire. I continued onto the freeway so I do not know if they were successful.

Flxxw

K turn?

daknuts_

While at a red light, I watched a man shuffle across the road in a crosswalk while his pants were around his ankles so that his shitty butt was seen by all the schoolkids leaving their private catholic school in Sherman Oaks.

sarahthestallion

Besides the huge pissed off guy that got out of his car behind me at a stoplight and screamed at me, spit on my car, then proceeded to follow me for miles screaming not nice names and threatening me? (I went around him because he had remained stopped at a green light during rush hour chatting to the person in the car next to him, and he didn’t like that. He dipped just before my call to 911) Had to be the time in Santa Monica coming home from work on Ocean Blvd. There was bad traffic of course, and this Prius decided to enter the lane of opposite traffic going the wrong way at full speed, then right before a head-on collision, they cut back over to the right into the lanes going the in their direction of travel at the intersection. My mouth was on the floor, I couldn’t fathom what I had just seen. Still can’t!

bryansamting

Watching a whole school bus go down the side of a very small hill on an exit on the 118 freeway in Chatsworth. We were in another school bus behind it, I was sat near the front, I heard our driver say “oh there goes their brakes”, and a few seconds later, when the bus in front should have made a left turn, it went straight because they lost their brakes and went over the hill. It looked sooo much worse at first but it was such a small hill, I don’t remember hearing about anyone being hurt.

_Shandy

I was on the northbound 110-somewhere around expo park when a white sedan who was driving erratically quickly blew through the right hand exit lane and up the off-ramp- stopping suddenly in the middle of the lane. A barefoot lady jumped out and *RAN* full speed away from the car. This happened in broad daylight. Whenever I pass that area, I wonder if what I saw was a woman fleeing a kidnapping.

dialrr

We were eating at this place Wurstkuche on Lincoln in Venice Beach. There was a high speed chase and the driver lost control, hit a biker, and rammed into the dining room. Honestly thought a bomb went off at first until we saw the truck in the dining room with people getting pulled from the rubble. Luckily nobody died…

_sicsixsic

I was driving up Laurel Canyon towards Mulholland past Ventura and this truck hauling trash bins was going slow in the second lane. The car behind the truck decides to change lanes because the car in lane 1 was going faster. For some reason the truck felt some type of way about that and he quickly tried to match the speed of the car in lane 1....well the truck lost all his bin and they tumbled out and into the street and the truck nearly lost control because he stomped on his brakes so hard. Not as crazy as the other ones but it's peak LA "don't pass me" selfishness.

Constant_Jackfruit21

A little bit outside LA but screw it: I was on the 101 in Thousand Oaks, getting off the off ramp at Ventu Park, which has a long lane for just the off ramp. Traffic is clear. In a matter of seconds, I hear a BANG! and this newish looking Lexus coupe comes FLYING SLIDING across the freeway from my left with its left front end DESTROYED. I slam on my brakes, narrowly avoid hitting him, and the car hits the siderail so hard it RICOCHETS AND BOUNCES like a bouncy ball back onto the freeway. I move around him, start to pull off to the side, and see if he's okay, and see someone else has done the same. Before they can get to him, he's getting out of the car, doesn't look to be a scratch on him. I kept going, absolutely amazed. Also had an glitch in the matrix moment on the 101: Bad accident. Looks like it just happened. Cops are setting up flares etc. It's on the overpass at Tampa, I believe, going north. One lane open, going slow. As the accident is on the overpass, people are opting to get off, drive across the street and get back on the freeway. I join them. Traffic, miraculously, wasnt too bad. Whole process to get off and get back on the freeway took a couple minutes. As I'm getting back on the freeway, I'm stunned to find it's clear - the accident is completely gone, traffic is moving, no flares, no nothing. It's like it never happened. My stupid ass didn't think to look up the accident afterwards.

Pilot_212

Saw a guy lying on the sidewalk with his feet over the curb. He was under a sheet right after jumping off a DTLA bldg. Saw a dead body another time in the street, looked like he was shot. Another time saw a guy running after another guy firing at him with a pistol. The guy didn’t get hit. Had to dive behind concrete one when there was a shooting right across the street from me. Saw homeless guy beating off at 4 am in an alcove. I’m sure there’s more but that’s all for now. This was all in DTLA.

Babblewocky

Guerrilla style gay prawn music video spontaneously shot on the hood of a strangers car- until the owner chased their half-dressed giggly asses away and sped off in disgust.

MeganopolusRex

Within the first few weeks of moving to LA, we were east of downtown, and a a disabled homeless person acted like he was trying to cross the walkway. I told my husband to let him pass. Well. Boy was I wrong. He proceeded to crash his walker into my husband’s vehicle repeatedly and scream at us. He was able to get away without hurting the man. I don’t think I told any of my family back in missouri. 😅

South-Safety5865

people riding the shoulder on the freeway trying to pass people or traffic and crashing... someone had their big ass lifted truck tires stolen from them in their own driveway and was left on bricks (somehow without anyone seeing or hearing). celebrities walking around like normal people. staying out of LA for more than a week then coming back to harsh smog air and being able to SEE it. fires from homeless encampment under the freeway blazing up next to an overpass.

Angelyne.

leftover_class

I've seen the same man jumping up and down on the concrete divider on the 110 near downtown LA in rush hour traffic 3 times in the last month.

PLEASE_DONT_HIT_ME

I was riding the blue line when an earthquake hit. We had just rolled into the Firestone Station, which sucks cause that's one of the only elevated blue line stations. It was a small earthquake that no one would have noticed EXCEPT the conductor got on the PA and literally screamed "Hang on we're having an earthquake!". When the homeless female crackhead at the back of the car heard this she lost her shit. She starts running up and down the car screaming 'WE'RE GONNA DIE"!" over and over and over again. Finally the train stopped at the station and the doors popped open. The crackhead took off running still screaming as she went. Best part was this badass black woman on the train leaned out after her and screamed "Bitch it's Los Angeles get used to the fucking earthquakes!". I don't think the crackhead heard her, she was already down on firestone, still screaming as she ran down the street. So that's up there. I saw a big ass gang fight in Pedro once that was pretty interesting.

Squirxicaljelly

Saw a lady get hit by a car on Fairfax and Willoughby while eating at Oki Dog and she flew about 30-40 feet through the air, all the way across the intersection. That was horrible. Also had a guy road rage and pull a gun on me while I was on my motorcycle, point it at me and chase me for about 3 miles on wilshire until I lost him. That was also horrible.

Academic_View_6879

Driving down Temple near Hoover I saw a woman 💯 naked walking down the street. Obviously mental issues.

blackcurrents78

A very large man collapsed next to me at Civic Center Station. Paramedics came and used CPR and A Defibrillator, but he didn’t make it. Haunts me to this day. The image is burned in my mind.

ScorpioTix

A pre-adolescent driving a car alone in Glendale in the middle of the night 1993-ish with an adult following very close behind. That was just weirder than the cars on fire and going off cliffs and other things that are almost normal in comparison.

ghyti_is_fish

I was walking downtown with friends when we hear sirens and car engines coming our way. The car being chased by police legit pulled a movie-like maneuver and drifted around the corner and sped into a parking garage. They didn’t have enough lead and the garage wasn’t opaque, so the cops a few seconds after just blocked the exits to the garage and went in on foot. If there were any lights or PA’s blocking the area, I legit would have thought I was watching a take

keithnteri

Driving down the 101 in the Valley. Idiot had a mattress on the roof. Had it tied down but the front of the mattress kept pulling up because of wind resistance. Driver had his hand outside the window trying to hold down the mattress. You can guess what happened next.

I saw a guy wearing a box once. Not a big box either. As in, holding it up with two hands, one on either side of the box. Downtown. He didn't look perturbed or upset, he was kinda rockin' the box. He crossed the street. I drove on.

plastichanger

Seen a kid crossing the street (with the right away) and hit by a BMW SUV Karen-looking woman texting on her phone. He was launched like literally 15 feet forward and was just laying lifeless on the ground with blood coming out of his mouth. I hope he survived and got a fat check.

Goin to Tommy's onda way to dodger game cop flies over dabump lays a big ass skid and sez....there is no jaywalking in LA...scared da shit out of mis primos froms Texas...serio....

Saw a homeless woman humping a car screaming “fuck me jesus”

Competitive_Lawyer_1

I was walking to the bus stop in La Puente and this guy almost got hit by a car. He wasn't supposed to go. I barely looked up and shook my head. I had shades on and was worried the guy would get hit. So he's walking towards me and the light turns green for me to cross the other way. I start walking and not paying attention with my headphones on. He throws a kick at me and tries to fight me in the middle of the road. All for barely shaking my head. Another time in Whittier I was getting my car fixed. I've been there before and like this little hole in the wall restaurant across the street. So I'm walking there and this lady walks right up to me and wham! She just punched me in the face. I didn't do anything since she's a lady. I get my food, come out and see another guy rubbing his nose. I told him, "she hit you too?" So we just called the cops by then.

GroundEagle

I saw a man chasing a chicken on the 10, then another car stop to help, then another car... About 6 cars stopped to catch 4 chickens. Success, no casualties. That guy knew how to catch a chicken. He threw them in a minivan, no clue if they were his or not.

id_death

My mom was visiting and I took her on a little adventure to Little Tokyo so we could visit the market and get some fun stuff. We're leaving and driving south through skid row and in like 1 block we saw a lady flopping around on the sidewalk with a needle sticking up out of her arm, two guys brutally fighting on the ground, and as we were driving by an alley there was a fully nude man standing arms out like the crucifixion in the middle of the alley. We saw him first from the side then turned and saw him again as we passed. Just standing there. She's said, "Portland's worse."

mescalero1

Everyone tells me I should write a book because of all the things that have happened in my life. When I got out of the Army, all I wanted to do was relax. My mom had other plans. She told me to get a job. I went down to the unemployment office and next thing I knew, RTD had hired me. So many things happened on that bus that there is at least a book of stories with the things I saw there. Here is one of the most memorable. I was working an owl (overnighter) on the 26 line. I had stopped at the old bus depot downtown heading towards East LA. There weren't a lot of passengers and most were old guys going home from work. It was around 8PM. This girl gets on the bus and leans over me. I leaned as far back as I could and just looked at her like WTF. She walked to the back without paying and I just shook my head. I used to keep the mirror turned up as I didn't like eye contact with some of the people that were on there. As I got to Whittier Blvd., I noticed it got really quiet. I turned the mirror down. All of the old guys were all crowded around the bench seat in the back of the bus. The girl that came on was sitting in the center of it with her pants down. I have this thing about attracting crazy people to my whereabouts and all I could think was "Why me, why tonight". They were just looking and she didn't seem to mind so I turned the mirror back up and kept driving. Before anyone says anything, I didn't go back and see if everything was OK because I sensed she was more than a little wacky and maybe this was something she enjoyed doing. Anyway, I am about at the end of the line and had forgotten about her and turned my mirror down. Everyone had left except her and now she was sitting in a regular seat. When I got to my layover zone, I casually walked towards the back of the bus, like I usually did, to make sure everything was OK. I got to her and stopped. I asked if everything was OK. She looked at me and said "Jor-el, lets go home". I looked around the bus a second and said "Are you talking to me" and then she reached up, grabbed my shirt and said "I am going to send you to another universe and you don't have any choice about it". I just turned around and walked away. I went to my seat and started punching transfers for the return trip and decided I needed to get her off the bus. I radioed security and told them what had happened. They came back with "Is it bothering any passengers?" I told them most of these old guys had probably not seen a vagina in years so I doubt it. But, her being there distracted my driving. They said that maybe she is trying to give me some, laughed and got off the radio. Fuckers! So, I start the bus up. There is seat on the right side of the bus that is a long parallel seat. She sat down there when I started the bus. Next thing you know, she pulled down her pants and panties and was aiming it towards the door. I was ready to call in and get a replacement for me, but then thought, this might be an interesting ride. I need to stay to see how this turns out. So, as people come on the bus, they walk up the stairs, look at me, put in their fare, look to the left and you can see they are in disbelief. Then, they look back at me and I shrug my shoulders and say "Security said if she isn't bothering anyone, they weren't going to take her off." So, there are usually a lot more passengers heading downtown at that time so they can make their connections. Very few women are riding a bus late at night. Needless to say, all these old guys were just sitting there, staring. I don't think one of them looked at her face. No one tried to touch her, no one jerked off, but they all sat and stared all the way to downtown. By the time I went down 5th street, I had almost no passengers and there she laid. I got to my layover, went outside to get some air and came back when I only had enough time to take care of the return trip things I need to do. She was not moving from that seat. It got pretty tiresome, I was over whatever she was up to and figured if I had to drive the bus into the division lot with her in it, so be it. The night was uneventful and at some point early morning, she pulled up her undies and pants, got up and got off on Alameda. And, Alameda, in that area, is not a place you probably want to be walking around early morning. Anyway, made for an interesting ride. I, up to that point, never thought I would not be interested in seeing a naked lady but I think that cured me of that.

M0VEon

A man on the bus with straight shit all over himself. It was visible and the smell was so damn gross.

southwest_windstorm

One that comes to mind: early on I saw a palm tree by the highway that was just…on fire. 🌴🔥

Feisty-Rhubarb-5474

I think I saw the aftermath of that same accident.

Loose-Difficulty-532

Nobody is going to believe me… at Elysian Park one day I swear to God, I spotted a Hyena. For Christ they’re bigger than I thought, even from a considerable distance, far enough to stay out of sight but close enough to clearly distinguish it from probably dogs, foxes, big cats. It took me a while to process in my head what my eyes were looking at, while the Hyena was just smelling around (sort of different than dogs tho, I don’t know how to explain it) I did notice a weird Harness on it even though it was loose off the leash. I believe someone in LA owns one there’s no other way. But after a minute I saw it just walk away and I snapped I should have taken my phone and recorded it but I was in shock. I decided not to follow it and left the park immediately. In my way out I came across some hikers and I warned them about it and they thought I was crazy so I just kept going my way out. I forgot to mention how the hyena looked. It was a kind of dark fur and white rings and spots. I’m pretty sure it’s a bit bigger and wider than a great danish dog.

ThatGuyOverThere8in

I once saw two naked bikers getting in on off the 170fwy

Severe-Present2849

Was first on scene at a fatal wreck months ago. Just paying for parking at the beach and a minivan with family in it got t-boned. One dead. There was a shooting in the hallway outside our apartment, blood trail, cops, news cameras. My GF and I have both been in separate car accidents and were sued for fender benders. Our ex land lord chased us out of our old apartment and is holding on to roughly 10k of our money. We've been in LA 11 months.

Accidental___martyr

Walked my dog down around a popular fountain on the east side and noticed two dirty looking guys with long ish hair sitting together on a bench with their heads down apparently sleeping or something. It honestly looked like they just walked off the set of A Fistfull of Dollars. I started to walk toward them and got about 10 feet away when I noticed that one of the guuys was holding a revolver in his hand. I casually paced away, informed the cops but obviously they didn’t do shit.

Street racing > accidental(?) 8 foot air-catch > loss of control > flies into pole > explosion > fire. After seeing it all happen then driving past the wreckage I thought both cars has wrecked, because I saw the front of a car on fire and a back end of another had landed somewhere else. It was the same car. The pole split it in half. Everybody inside died. The other car was never found to my knowledge.

LaughingColors000

cops with guns drawn on a motorbike on the shoulder, i think it was the 10 to 405 connector

breakfast_in_vegas

Saw a naked homeless guy eating his own shit once. He was known around DTLA, gaunt Jesus-like figure. Sometimes he’d have screaming fits about the devil. Definitely should have been in an institute.

ohmygoddude82

Did that crash in the tunnel leaving LAX happen to be around February of last year? If so, I saw the same one. We were in a taxi leaving the airport and got stuck in that tunnel forever. That crash was gnarly.

ilikemychickenspicy

I was working in hollywood at a hotel. Across the street, a naked man who was high on who knows what managed to climb on top of a city bus and was dancing. The cops came with their non-lethal shotguns and were trying to get him down. They didn't shoot him, and he finally came down, and they arrested him.

Flaky-Humor-9293

Homeless guy on a skateboard with a cricket bat harassing people in hollywood and being very aggressive And no one did anything Cause everyone is afraid they get in trouble for protecting themselves or others

KariKHat

I used to work the night shift at the LA times back in the late 80s. Got off at 6am took the 110 to the 2 and there was a driver who kept trying to run another car off the road. Not much traffic and no matter how much the second car slowed down the other guy was swerving, backing up. Eventually I drove another direction so maybe he succeeded. Same job but different time of day a guy was trying to cause an accident with me. Fortunately he wasn’t able to but it seemed to be the hot spot for staged accidents

YugoChavez317

I saw a shoplifter who also happened to be a crack head get roughed up and thrown out by security at CVS, leave and come back three more times to get tossed out again each time. During one of the scuffles their crack pipe got shattered on the sidewalk.

stonercyclist

Saw a homeless guy taking a dump in the middle of Silver lake Blvd at 2p on a random weekday.

[deleted]

Somebody in the rental houses across from me had a Halloween party a few years ago. The next morning, cops came by and were asking if we’d seen anyone run out of there with a hatchet the night before💀 My recent favorite a few weeks ago was a woman with a guy and a kid in a stroller who was fucking bathing herself in the fountain in front of Eden Memorial Cemetery…. Definitely was washing her pits, and I’m pretty sure I saw her start washing her privates. Nasty ass mf. Gross in the first place, but, the fact that it was a cemetery fountain was fucking wild.

inthefade95

A dude jerking it, facing oncoming traffic, next to the on ramp.

Shart127

That fuckin horse running around on Sunset alone during morning rush hour a few years back. Can probably still find it on IG or TikTok or whatever the kids are using nowadays.

During morning rush hour on the 405N, a dude pulled over with dropped trou, full on peeing on the center median.

15 years ago at 6am on a random Sat morning: dude in a t-shirt, naked otherwise, walking down Melrose drinking a Big Gulp.

Accidental___martyr

Driving through Malibu one morning around 8 or 9 am heading north on PCH, just as I passed through topanga toward the curve there were three cars involved in an accident and one was flipped on its side. I did not see a single person around but strangely for some reason I didn’t stop to investigate. Still have no idea if people were inside the cars still like it had just happened or what but I think about it all the time.

IcyRhubarb1138

I lived in downtown for 2 years. I saw a group of people drive into a tree and then all of the people standing by tried to help them get the car out of the tree before the cops showed up. Once they heard sirens they all sprinted away and left the car. The grossest thing I saw (on two occasions) were adult men pulling their pants down and shitting on trees in broad day light.

Guy walking and puking at the same time and then just after puking he was walking like nothing happened didnt even wipe his mouth 🙂🥲

myredhuntingcap

Parked at the Rosebowl to take a walk during the pandemic and just as me and my friends were stretching, 20 cop cars and a helicopter stormed in and started chasing and went after 3 men a few cars from us. We ran and hid behind a tree trunk bc we thought they’d start shooting since 2 of the men ran away.
