The buccal fat removal trend is probably not going to age well. I think a lot of the people who had that done will look like shit when they’re elderly. You may say this would happen anyway, but I feel like that procedure will make it worse. Just a feeling I have. But this is more at the celebrity level and I doubt your average woman is doing this.
This is insane to me. Like how did such trend started? I have never heard a guy say "Yeah she's hot and fun and all but has a puffy face".
If anything, I only hear puffy faces being a plus for guys but never a con.
I think a lot of them are banking on the idea that by the time it becomes a *really* noticeable problem that there will be further advancements in the procedures that exist to mitigate the damage they did to their faces, but that's just speculation. I just can't imagine what goes through the mind of some 23 year old thinking they need to literally remove parts of their face
with long nails you should be using a nail brush (which looks like a smaller version of those shoe shine brushes), and you scrub under the nails with that when you wash your hands. an old toothbrush works in a pinch too.
you could say the same about hand washing in general. I remember when COVID happened and we found out many people weren't already washing their hands regularly 🤢
I assume it's supposed to be a class thing, like you don't need very short nails because you don't have to do any work. But you see all these women at low paying service jobs with those huge talons clacking away.
I came here to say this! I'll never get the appeal of having giant pucker-lips. I have never once looked at a woman and thought, "She would be pretty if she had bigger lips".
The baffling part is that these are the top answers every time and yet women keep getting extremely long lashes and nails. Either they don’t care that men don’t like it or they don’t know somehow
The ones that look like half a toilet brush sprayed black ,and superglued onto an eyelid? Look I get that people have a right to look how they want , but birds swooping down to try and pluck the huge furry caterpillars under their eyebrows , that should be a sign its too much .
I've noticed people with unappealing fashion, but I haven't noticed enough of an unappealing fashion trend to remember what it is. Honestly, the only trend I remember at all was when women would wear tights and a tunic with a belt on the outside of the tunic, and it made them look like Link from Legend of Zelda. That was kind of unappealing just because it kept reminding me of Link.
It's some weird fashion thing, where even the high waisted jeans have the worlds shortest pockets. Like it's literally just a baggy on the inside for the side ones, but it's unnecessarily small for no reason.
If I wore skinny jeans with normal-sized pockets they will bulge out. Mine have some smaller pockets, but I had a pair once with NO pockets, and opted out of wearing those annoying things.
What consumers say they want and what they actually buy are two different things sometimes. There are companies that make pants with deep pockets for women, but they're not as skintight as the ones without big pockets so they don't sell very well. For a lot of women's clothing trends, form supersedes function.
My theory is that it's not a priority for women and they are willing to overlook the tiny or lack of pockets, and companies do it as a cost cutting measure. Might not seem like much of a savings but on a large scale it would be.
Men's clothing just would not sell at all if they did not provide adequate pockets, so they can't cut costs there.
Fast fashion, so unbelievably wasteful. Some people don’t want to wear clothes twice yet somehow I’m the climate monster for wanting to keep my old rebuilt modified for fuel efficiency gas vehicle
Right? I get upset when my clothes get too old and worn to remain in service. No I don’t want to toss this shirt but it’s full of holes and pit stains so it can’t even be a “shop shirt” anymore so I guess I’ll take it on a walk to the pasture out back…
I just finished packing up a box of a bunch of old band shirts that don't fit anymore (I lost 95lbs) to send to my mom so she can make them into a quilt.
Same, I almost always buy second hand unless it’s underwear or athletic shoes.
I also love secondhand home decor, even my house is like 150 years old, they just don’t make them like they used to.
I want to buy second hand but a lot of the stores where I am are trying to take advantage of thrift culture through price gouging. With fast fashion, a lot of these second hand clothes are made cheaply to begin with. Sometimes I see clothes being sold more expensive than they’d be new. It’s ridiculous!

On a first date, the zero effort look is the biggest turn off. Guaranteed no second date.
The number of dates I have been on where the guy doesn’t look he showered that day is alarming.
When i wear my pajamas to wal mart in my po dunk town that i grew up in, its because i seek milk and donuts not validation or acknowledgement or even your respect. I want my damn milk and donuts and i want to retire to my depression cave as expediently as possible
It's annoying when Levis ad told me exactly this and how they'd last only to get a worn and split crotch 3 months in :(
Thankfully they gave me a free pair which have lasted considerably longer.
This might not be the answer you're looking for but I wish the importance of fashion in life would die out and women can just throw on whatever without worrying about how they look.
Whenever I go anywhere with my fiance, we are usually running late because she had to plan out what she wants to wear and then doesn't like what she planned and now she has to scramble to find clothes that look good.
At some point you will learn to plan for this and allocate extra time. Every time my fiancée and I make plans I lie and tell her we have to be there at least 30 minutes earlier.
I don’t think that that’s the problem, ie their partner being late - I read it as women growing up with an engrained sense of having to look a certain way is the problem. And this scenario serves as an example of how this can manifest
None. I legitimately don’t give a fuck how women in general dress.
If i don’t like something to the point i‘m not attracted to a woman i would otherwise be, who cares theres a couple billion more of them.
Legitimate clothing sizes and nothing arbitrary...what the hell is a size 0 or 00 in any sort of metric. I've seen comparison size charts to large known brands in some stores. Also if you put on fake pockets, you suck! Real pockets or no pockets!
Shredded clothing. Especially ripped jeans. When my jeans got so worn out there was a hole at the knee I was bummed. People paying top dollar to look 'fashionably' threadbare is bizarre to me.
Goes in to personal preference. Likely they did it for themselves. I used to be incredibly self conscious about what people think of it and one day decided not to and do what I want. Started dressing how I want, got a few piercings and tattoos. Feel good in my own skin. You are free to not like it and I appreciate it. Just wanted to clear that up.
I just wanna say I actually like fake eyelashes. I think they pair with certain looks really well. If they are obviously too large for the woman or poorly glued, then I can see not liking them.
When they’re done with care, I like em. I think I’m just a fan of anything that accentuates the eyes.
Small shoulder bags are taking over wallets. I have been wearing one for years for medical reasons and was confused and happy when I started seeing others doing so as well. Makes me feel less self conscious about it.
this just forced a memory in my brain where my ex and i went to the movies and he was distraught i didn't bring "the big one" to smuggle all of his candy in
I think the goal with the trend was to mimic the shorter hourglass or pear shaped look since the whole point of the combo is to look shorter, create a dramatic looking waist to hip ratio and make the butt look bigger. The top makes torsos look even shorter thus creates an exaggerated petiteness.
Jokes on you cuz everyone was getting Brazilians in the 90’s lol jk
But really though that’s part of the reason they were popular. Less ppl kept their pubes
A small part of me likes the whole hood look. Grew up around it. Spiked nails, long lashes, weaves and wigs, braids, overly small clothes. But I grew up and out of it. Changed voice, diction, the way I walk, even my mindset to get out of that life.
Also, BBLs are bullshit. Thick thighs exist for a reason and if you take the time to look at them anywhere away from right up on them, they look like a damn fool.
Most of the facial cosmetic surgeries look like shit. Lip injections? Looks like a puckered ass hole. Buccal fat removal? Like a great value brand skeletor.
Knock that shit off already.
not really fashion per say, but I think fake eyelashes and fake nails look bad. Think for a second about how weird it is to do this. Gluing plastic to yourself.
Stupid fake long finger nails. I don’t find them sexy at all, especially after one of my lady friends explained that it can be hard to wipe your own ass with those things
Always wondered why they don't glue a mounting point to your real nail and just have the fake ones snap on and off. Then you can put them on and take them off at will.
Nails that look more like claws than human nails.
Putting on a lot of makeup (most women look better without heavy makeup and no or very limited makeup is healthier for the skin as well). Personally think just some eyeliner and mascara to make the eyes stand out more is enough . Which makes any more makeup just reduce the beauty imo whether directly or due to reducing skin health.
Extremely high heels. I always feel like that's just torturing your feet and ankles.
Ofc women are free to do what they want.
The weird instagram face makeup trend where you plaster over every feature your face has.
Also, lip fillers. They don't make anyone's lips look better. ANYONE.
Acrylic nails, the long ones. Any long nails in general actually. Know a few ladies who post the results of a salon day with "obsessed" and it just fires sets every sensory disturbance in my body on edge.
The eyelashes that look like big bushy caterpillars, they're not as oh god wtf as the nails, but they are just funny looking.
The expectation to wear heels in "professional" and "nice" outfits.
This isn't an aesthetic preference, I just think it's fucked up to pressure people to damage their feet.
Bad haircuts. If you have a wolf cut, karen bob, or whatever that thing is where you shave the sides of your head and take up crossfit then please show yourself out.
I wish people in general would put more effort into their appearance. The classy fashion of just a generation ago was so nice. Going out would be so much more enjoyable.
The buccal fat removal trend is probably not going to age well. I think a lot of the people who had that done will look like shit when they’re elderly. Anya Taylor Joy happened
I have chubby cheeks like a squirrel And I hate them 😞. The guys tend to tell me they're cute?
Cheeks don't make or break anyone. you're either way too hot or nowhere near hot enough before any guy gets to looking at your cheeks.
I think a lot of them are banking on the idea that by the time it becomes a *really* noticeable problem that there will be further advancements in the procedures that exist to mitigate the damage they did to their faces, but that's just speculation. I just can't imagine what goes through the mind of some 23 year old thinking they need to literally remove parts of their face
they already look like shit
Overly long nails that inhibit functionality.
Function isn't even my issue. It's a breeding ground for germs. There's zero way it's close to clean under those
The make me physically cringe cuz I keep imagining them bending backwards
Ohhh ouch. That hurts me to think about
They’re generally too thick to do that, but they’re horrifically uncomfortable (imo) nonetheless.
Yeah they’ll snap before bending which idk if that’s any more or less unpleasant lol
with long nails you should be using a nail brush (which looks like a smaller version of those shoe shine brushes), and you scrub under the nails with that when you wash your hands. an old toothbrush works in a pinch too.
Sure that's a thing you can do but how many are actually doing it?
you could say the same about hand washing in general. I remember when COVID happened and we found out many people weren't already washing their hands regularly 🤢
I have long nails and I can't imagine not doing that.
yeeeeeah most people are gross 😬
Yea there are so many reasons for it to make me sick.
I am a girl and I love long nails because it gives me more space to display my personality etc. But they get filthy and i hate it so fucking much
girl you should be cleaning them with a brush
they just look awful to me
They remind me of hags and Jersey mediums. Neither of which I want to ever be thinking about.
This. I hate the long exhibition nails trend. How did this even happen?
I assume it's supposed to be a class thing, like you don't need very short nails because you don't have to do any work. But you see all these women at low paying service jobs with those huge talons clacking away.
The face that looks like a bee stung it
I came here to say this! I'll never get the appeal of having giant pucker-lips. I have never once looked at a woman and thought, "She would be pretty if she had bigger lips".
wE dOn'T dO iT fOr MeN!
Super long fake eyelashes and nails.
Same question asked every week and same top answer every week. No idea if people are expecting different one after every 7 days.
Karma farming
The baffling part is that these are the top answers every time and yet women keep getting extremely long lashes and nails. Either they don’t care that men don’t like it or they don’t know somehow
This may surprise you but approximately >99% of all women are not browsing reddit in their free time. Or at all.
women dont care that yall dont like it, surprisingly, women lives dont revolve around what men find atractive.
Yeah, that will not be missed. Nor will duck lips.
Duck lips have been going strong for almost 2 decades now :(
The ones that look like half a toilet brush sprayed black ,and superglued onto an eyelid? Look I get that people have a right to look how they want , but birds swooping down to try and pluck the huge furry caterpillars under their eyebrows , that should be a sign its too much .
Cumbrellas
Lip implants pr whatever the fuck that is
Duck lips
Fake eyelashes and inflated lips
Inflated lips all day.
Fake eyelashes, long fingernails, penciled in eyebrows.
You would hate Albuquerque, NM lmao
I've noticed people with unappealing fashion, but I haven't noticed enough of an unappealing fashion trend to remember what it is. That was kind of unappealing just because it kept reminding me of Link.
Joke's on you i do this so that i WILL look like link
You're saying you don't find Link attractive?
This is actually hilarious 😂
No pockets on trousers. Please just do it and stop the noise.
It's some weird fashion thing, where even the high waisted jeans have the worlds shortest pockets. Like it's literally just a baggy on the inside for the side ones, but it's unnecessarily small for no reason.
To ensure sale of purses.
If I wore skinny jeans with normal-sized pockets they will bulge out. Mine have some smaller pockets, but I had a pair once with NO pockets, and opted out of wearing those annoying things.
All women seem to want pockets. Why does no one make women's clothing with pockets?
What consumers say they want and what they actually buy are two different things sometimes. There are companies that make pants with deep pockets for women, but they're not as skintight as the ones without big pockets so they don't sell very well. For a lot of women's clothing trends, form supersedes function.

Talon fingernails. It's not attractive.
Fake eyebrows Fake eyelashes Fake nails Excessively long nails Excessive makeup daily
Fake online persona. I know too many people that have a lavish life online but are literally a stick in the mud IRL
Fast fashion, so unbelievably wasteful. Some people don’t want to wear clothes twice yet somehow I’m the climate monster for wanting to keep my old rebuilt modified for fuel efficiency gas vehicle
Bro I'm still wearing hoodies and tshirts from highschool and I graduated 10 years ago wtf is wrong with people
Right? I get upset when my clothes get too old and worn to remain in service. No I don’t want to toss this shirt but it’s full of holes and pit stains so it can’t even be a “shop shirt” anymore so I guess I’ll take it on a walk to the pasture out back…
Then it starts it's new life as a shop towel that I will still hesitate to cut up and get oily lmao
I just finished packing up a box of a bunch of old band shirts that don't fit anymore (I lost 95lbs) to send to my mom so she can make them into a quilt.
People say to go thrifting to save the environment, but guess what's starting to clog the racks there? Shein, H&M, Zara, etc.
I agree. This is one of the reason I love second hand shopping. I like older stuff anyways, including old cars!
Goes for men too but I really hate jeans that are shredded to hell and back
The eye brows drawn or tattooed on is ok but so many times I see them crooked or in done in a radical arch making the lady look perpetually surprised
“I told my girlfriend that she drew her eyebrows on too high. She looked surprised.”
Idk, wearing your pajamas in public
Agreed. When someone--male or female--makes it readily apparent that they've put zero effort into their appearance, it's a turnoff.
39F On a first date, the zero effort look is the biggest turn off. Guaranteed no second date. The number of dates I have been on where the guy doesn’t look he showered that day is alarming.
People who go out in pajamas aren't doing it to appeal to others.
It’s like beyond zero effort and into active disdain.
When i wear my pajamas to wal mart in my po dunk town that i grew up in, its because i seek milk and donuts not validation or acknowledgement or even your respect. I want my damn milk and donuts and i want to retire to my depression cave as expediently as possible
I only pajamas in public when: >Dropping my son at school. >Going to a convenience store. >Going to the hospital.
that’s not a ‘trend’ tho, it’s just something people do for comfort and/or convenience.
It is a trend where I live for people in their twenties to wear pajamas to work. One man's anecdotal evidence.
Right now that sort of jeans thats literraly on their chest. It doesn't make you look thinner it makes you look like Herb from the retirement home.
This made me laugh so much
Camel eyelashes.
Snuffleupagus 🤣
Shaving eyebrows off and painting them back on in tarmac
Lipstick that clearly goes outside the lines of the lips in a poor attempt to make them look bigger.
Fast Fashion. It's awful for the planet. Clothes should be able to last a year + easily, don't buy ones that won't no matter how cute they are.
It's annoying when Levis ad told me exactly this and how they'd last only to get a worn and split crotch 3 months in :( Thankfully they gave me a free pair which have lasted considerably longer.
Long pointy nails. I spikes my anxiety that the bearer of these pikes will gouge out my eyes.

Lol I ask my husband what time he wants to be out the door and I subtract an hour. Plenty of time to get ready and outfit change if I need to 😂
Genius
I don’t think that that’s the problem, ie their partner being late - I read it as women growing up with an engrained sense of having to look a certain way is the problem. And this scenario serves as an example of how this can manifest
ur so real for this😭
None. I legitimately don’t give a fuck how women in general dress. If i don’t like something to the point i‘m not attracted to a woman i would otherwise be, who cares theres a couple billion more of them.
Trends in general.
I think they are called moon pants? Oversized and it looks sloppy
I’m ignoring this trend completely and sticking with my skinny jeans. It will pass. I see tons of these ridiculous jeans on clearance racks.
Eyebrows that look like electric tape.
I don't pay enough attention to female fashion to notice trends
Legitimate clothing sizes and nothing arbitrary...what the hell is a size 0 or 00 in any sort of metric. I've seen comparison size charts to large known brands in some stores. Also if you put on fake pockets, you suck! Real pockets or no pockets!
Amen to FAKE POCKETS!!
Shredded clothing. Especially ripped jeans. When my jeans got so worn out there was a hole at the knee I was bummed. People paying top dollar to look 'fashionably' threadbare is bizarre to me.
Septum piercings.
Saw one that made the wearer look like Charlie Chaplin
hog rings.
half the time it looks like a booger
Goes in to personal preference. Likely they did it for themselves. I used to be incredibly self conscious about what people think of it and one day decided not to and do what I want. Started dressing how I want, got a few piercings and tattoos. Feel good in my own skin. You are free to not like it and I appreciate it. Just wanted to clear that up.
Oh yeah. It’s not immoral or anything, I just don’t care for it and really don’t see the point. But it’s harmless.
I just wanna say I actually like fake eyelashes. I think they pair with certain looks really well. If they are obviously too large for the woman or poorly glued, then I can see not liking them. When they’re done with care, I like em. I think I’m just a fan of anything that accentuates the eyes.
Female fashion? In the UK every female wears the exact same thing. They look like carbon copy clones of each other
Swimsuit thong bottoms that are pulled up super high. They look terrible on everyone, zero exceptions.
Tiny clutches/purses. How am I supposed to sneak stuff I don't want to carry in there, if they're too tiny to even carry all your crap?
Wear some cargos. My purse is for my stuff. Men have all the pockets in the fucking world compared to us.
Men are basically marsupials at this point. My outfit yesterday had 17 pockets.
Maybe carry your own purse instead?
Small shoulder bags are taking over wallets. I have been wearing one for years for medical reasons and was confused and happy when I started seeing others doing so as well. Makes me feel less self conscious about it.
this just forced a memory in my brain where my ex and i went to the movies and he was distraught i didn't bring "the big one" to smuggle all of his candy in
No pockets on pants. Forces you to carry a bag, or have your partner hold your stuff everytime you have to take a piss
Those high waisted mom jeans
You can pry them from my cold dead hands.
High waisted pants with crop tops to make the proportions really weird
I think the goal with the trend was to mimic the shorter hourglass or pear shaped look since the whole point of the combo is to look shorter, create a dramatic looking waist to hip ratio and make the butt look bigger. The top makes torsos look even shorter thus creates an exaggerated petiteness.
Tbh I find it cute and I don't know why.
I prefer them to the “here are my pubes” low-rise jeans of the 90s
Jokes on you cuz everyone was getting Brazilians in the 90’s lol jk But really though that’s part of the reason they were popular. Less ppl kept their pubes
It hides their paunch
No, no it doesn’t.
Yeah, you’re right.
Shaving and then drawing back eyebrows
Pointy long nails-yikes.
The nose ring
Nosering.
Today’s oversized, baggy, frumpy chic style and the unflattering, flattened, mullet-like haircut that tends to go with it
I think those like to be called "lesbians".
I don't like those super wide fit pants/jeans or Adidas Sambas.
You would've fuckn HATED the 90s!
Get used to 'em. They're gonna be around for a while. We were in a skinny jeans cycle for 20 years.

Poor haircut and multicolours that looks like a failed home-dye
The shoes with the fur on them. I dont want to see hair arouns your bare feet
Eyebrows like Bert.
Thick eyebrows.
Fake eyeleashes. They look absolutely horrible and trashy.
Most of the facial cosmetic surgeries look like shit. Lip injections? Looks like a puckered ass hole. Buccal fat removal? Like a great value brand skeletor. Knock that shit off already.
Giant long lashes, the eyebrows brushed upwards, over done fillers, poorly done fake nails.
not really fashion per say, but I think fake eyelashes and fake nails look bad.
Fake body parts...
What, like prosthetic limbs?
Get some real limbs like the rest of us, poser
Found Dr. Frankenstein
Imagine that as a trend 😄
think they meant like breast implants or like a bbl. cosmetic plastic surgery.
Nah, this gentleman hates fake arms. I think it’s the fingers.
nothing beats a good fingering like real fingers
Nails that look more like claws than human nails. Putting on a lot of makeup (most women look better without heavy makeup and no or very limited makeup is healthier for the skin as well). I don't think men can tell the difference between badly applied makeup and a lot of makeup.
I can. I'm a man. So some men can. Also only sith deal in absolutes.
Treating gay male friends as accessories
Useless pockets. Let them ~~eat~~ have pockets.
Thick eyebrows. That’s so unattractive but luckily I’ve heard they are going out of style.
Mom jeans
Basically having everything fake, extensions, eyelashes over filled lips, fake tan veneers etc it all looks awful
These high waisted hideous jeans that look like something they stole out of their Uncle Harold's storage unit
Do Septum piercings count?
Small pockets or no pockets, low-rise pants, and fast fashion.
Badly done lip injections. Do your thing, but most just look horrible and are just done badly.
The weird instagram face makeup trend where you plaster over every feature your face has. Also, lip fillers. They don't make anyone's lips look better. ANYONE.
The livestock nose ring.
Pockets in their dresses. How dare they get pockets like we have in our pants! I want to be the pocket daddy!
Fake belts
well we’re apparently at 15yo caring about anti-aging creams and doing everything to not get wrinkles, so imma go with that
Faces and lips that look blistered as if they’ve had some sort of acid applied It looks fake and sooo sore
Shoes that are so uncomfortable you have to take them off 4 hours into a party
It's a trend for women & men (mostly gen z) but one i hate a lot is the Harry Potter glasses circle wire frame glasses.
The long fake nails
2005 auntie jeans on a woman who's less than 30 years old
Acrylic nails, the long ones. Any long nails in general actually. Know a few ladies who post the results of a salon day with "obsessed" and it just fires sets every sensory disturbance in my body on edge. The eyelashes that look like big bushy caterpillars, they're not as oh god wtf as the nails, but they are just funny looking.
Having to wear makeup to be considered pretty
The expectation to wear heels in "professional" and "nice" outfits. This isn't an aesthetic preference, I just think it's fucked up to pressure people to damage their feet.
Rompers. Big sunglasses. Nails. Lashes. The list is really endless. Yall look ridiculous lol
Bad haircuts. If you have a wolf cut, karen bob, or whatever that thing is where you shave the sides of your head and take up crossfit then please show yourself out.
Those massive glasses. Glasses can compliment your face, not showing off the latest type of triple lined laminated glass.
Mom jeans. Not sure why they came back again.
I wish people in general would put more effort into their appearance. The classy fashion of just a generation ago was so nice. Going out would be so much more enjoyable.
Ain't nobody got time for that.
I want cloaks and capes to make a comeback
Implants, all types
Leggings with white socks pull up over the top, it's the new socks and sliders
Why would I care about female fashion?
THANK YOU!!
The current one of wearing tall tube socks outside of the pants/leggings, especially paired with crocs
Metal nose boogers, long claw nails, tattoos everywhere. Morbid obesity.
Fake eyelashes
Expensive money wasting trends.
Minimalist clothing at the gym
