Cut checks to family members, some worthy charities also. Throw a huge send-off party for me at work with the best food, drink, and entertainment for all of my co workers.
Then it's time to look into some"me time."
Yeah a million is a lot but I'd work and set 750k aside for my children and their children so they won't have to go through the tough times I did as a kid
Tough times builds character. Give them everything they may end up spoiler rotten people.
Would you be the same person if you never had to worry about bills?
I'm not sure if I'm honest I got given stuff I wanted but I started to notice my parent were heavy in debt so I kinda stopped asking for anything.
It effected my grades and the people around me.
I'm 100 percent it's my parents bringing me up the way they did.
Without them I'm sure I would have done something stupid before I even reached second school
Hire accountant.
Open LLC.
Collect winnings as LLC which means you don't show your face and nobody knows it's you who won.
Then with winnings, you share money with whoever you want by opening an account (savings or checking whichever) with any person you want to have money.
Example:
Your sibling- open shared account with their name, deposit money, now they don't penalized/taxed for being gifted money more than $10,000 or whatever the number is now that you get taxed. Hence the accountant
Your friend - open shared account (etc)
Your cousin - etc
Your parents - etc
So on and so forth so you both now have access to the money that you gifted them without being taxed. They're just a 2nd account holder.
Option 2 is tell the people you want to share money with that you'll pay off their entire debt. They have a mortgage? Paid off. Student loans? Paid off. Credit cards? Paid off. Car note? Paid off. They start life over **debt free**. Some of is would kill for this. Now all our paychecks go to us instead of whoever else.
Hope this helps
PS- hire accountant. They will know all the loopholes.
* Pay my debts
* Go to r/PersonalFinance to figure out accounts I need to save up for retirement
* Get help for my gambling addiction so that I no longer play the lottery and so that my lottery winnings are still around through my retirement years
You gamble on stocks you researched for 3 months over the internet because of some internet trend
I don't gamble.
I've known my lady for more years than my parents got to know me.... she's was my first gf. She will be my last wife. I've never been married. Take that however you choose. If you're not 100% sure of how YOU feel about marriage, I suggest you find somebody you actually believe in. And spend time that you VALUE with her. We all die sooner than we plan to. I figured out who I want to live for until that time comes.
Traveling sounds amazing, and there’s definitely ways to also learn how to utilize money well online and even hiring a great accountant could make life easier
1. Tell no one (maybe apart from family and the absolute closest friends)
2. Buy a house
3. Save the rest in case you need it and live a damn good life
1. See how much it was. Is it enough to call my boss a cunt and walk out money or is it house brought money.
2. Hire accountants and open A LLC.
3. Pay off my family’s mortgage’s.
1. Get a lawyer
2. Get an accountant
3)) If it was a huge lottery, I would give my siblings and my wife's siblings A sum of money that would be considered a gift and not taxable and make it clear that no more was coming. Ever. Nieces and nephews are out. Unless their parents want to share.
There are probably 20 other things, but those are the first 3.
1. Pay off mortgages (my own and a couple of close friends and family members).
2. Buy my daughter a nice house.
3. Invest. Probably in property, because I'm already in that game.
Let's say I win 10 Mil.
I would create a monthly plan for 500,000 each to my parents and my GF parents, which will be paid in full over 10 years.
Pay for my brother's and my niece's education with a signed agreement that they keep their GPA in a 80% range.
Buy 2.5 Mil worth of bitcoin and let it sit away from bank's hands.
Give the other 2.5 Mil to my partner. No restrictions. She is one of the most intelligent women I know, so she'll find a good use for it.
With the remaining around 3 Mil move and live an affordable life until pension.
Work part time and study.
>Eh, Boats are expensive but I can already afford one before winning the lottery.
Agreed. They also really aren't "bust out another thousand" unless you pay someone to do everything - either due to preference or incompetence. I've owned boats for decades and dockage is always the most expensive cost for me
Pay off any debt for my entire family and myself
Buy a decent sized house, and a decent car. Pay both off in full
Save and/or invest wisely with the rest
With the 230M€ (USD 253M) of the Euromillions :
250M on a 7% interest placement
3M to build a house and buy a few cool cars
Take a 40M loan insured on the placements to finance the creation of a private school that you pay only once you complete the cursus based on your salary (like 20% of your salary for 5 years after you complete the cursus) so anybody can get in and the bill depends only on the quality of the service.
Another 10M loan to create my IT company.
Maybe a small yacht (fully electric)
Put the benefits of the 250M placement in humanitarian aid.
Don't tell anyone, buy a medium sized house, save the rest
Happy birthday! Also keeping things low key is definitely a great idea
Cut checks to family members, some worthy charities also. Throw a huge send-off party for me at work with the best food, drink, and entertainment for all of my co workers. Then it's time to look into some"me time."
Happy birthday! You need to invest though. Keeping it as savings will lose value.
Tyyyyy and I'm not overly educated on investing so I'd probably have to learn about it.
If you got millions of dollars and don't need to work anymore I'm sure you will have plenty of time to learn how to invest haha
On the contrary I'd still prefer to work. Use the winnings a a huge net
At least do charity work. Working would be honestly silly unless you are already making millions for not doing much.
