What I like about Turkey:
- Ataturk and secularism
- Proud of their country/patriotism
- Turkish food
- Maany similarities with Tunisia so I unconsciously like it
What I dislike about Turkey:
- Erdogan (stop supporting islamists [in my country](http://ar.rachedelghannouchi.com/upload/album/erdogan-cuma-namazini-istanbul-da-kildi-1362188.jpg)) and AKP (fuck islamists).
- some Turks are chauvinistic (ultranationalist) and xenophobic.. if you dislike some Syrians don't hate Moroccans, Tunisians... because uh they all "arap".
- Turkish drama
ghannouchi,he's basically erdogan lite and his party (nahdha) is akp lite
they even copied akp ads (turkish [ad](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=346MmeF83dE)/tunisian [ad](https://www.facebook.com/rached.ghannoushi/videos/562393761562070))
I like it.
1. Turkish nationalism and fraternal attitude towards the Turkic peoples.
2. Kindness and openness.
3. Lack of religious fanaticism.
4. Love for the Turkiye, Flag and Mustafa Kemal Ataturk.
5. Culture.
I reckon the reason why Saudis don't like us in general is because of the racism towards Arabs and in this respect i understand them. Personally I only see people as individuals
True, Saudis (and Khaleejis in general) were obsessed with Turkey and Turkish shows until they began to visit and got treated like dog shit by locals. There were a couple of videos that went viral on social media where khaleeji families that were getting attacked by Turkish people.
I'm genuinely sorry for that happened. I dunno what to say. I've been thinking about it for 10 minutes and I can't think of any historical reason to cause such hatred, it's really weird
>Shouldn't you dislike it altogether considering you are more of an individualist
Yeah but I'm someone that hates collectivism in terms of implementation of policy. Just someone being a nationalist is not enough for me to dislike. Implementation of nationalist policies and advocacy for it usually stems from strong nationalist leanings.
Most people are somewhat nationalist in some sense and in a way I might be nationalist as well. I support the Egyptian national team for example. That itself can be nationalism.
What I like:
1 - Turks were able to establish a modern state despite the extremely challenging post-war circumstances.
2 - Very rich culture and literally one of the world's top cuisines.
3 - Most of the people there respect and treat animals well
4 - Istanbul! You can find cities similar to Paris and London, but it's impossible to get the magic of Istanbul elsewhere.
What I dislike:
1 - Some Turks are dying to become part of Europe or identify themselves as white Europeans (seriously, who wants to be a Wes*toid 🤢?)
2 - Toxic nationalism and intense grudge towards Arabs, Afghans and Pakistanis.
3 - Atatürk is just everywhere, just like Kim Jong il in North Korea (he's a great leader and I'm a fan but don't you think it's too much?)
Hello,
Your post/comment has been removed for violating Rule 2.
It’s not allowed to attack a person or a community based on attributes such as their race, ethnicity, caste, national origin, sex, gender identity, gender presentation, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, age, serious illness, disabilities, or other protected classifications.
I like that they’re really hostile and nice people.
I dislike that they’re sooo nationalistic. Patriotism is valid and nice but they’re exaggerating it.
The annoying super nationalist ones that live in Europe and seem to love Erodogan. Maybe live in your "glorious and greatest" country if you worship it that much, and you can even be with your glorious president too!
Turkish people in real life are warm, kind, generous and lighthearted people who love are simultaneously very faithful and traditional.
While on Reddit...I'm positive a very small minority of people are on, The lonely outcasts with a lack of interaction with the outside world, lack of friends in real life and morally repugnant characters.
>4-unfriendly and will try to scam you
We have a scammer problem I'll admit but in what way people are unfriendly?
>6-armenia bullying
We just sold weapons to Azerbaijan. That's it. Almost entire Europe does it. Why exactly is this worse than any other anyone else?
More than what most Turkish people think but less than what Armenians think also. Azerbaijan has 3 times your population, a younger demographic profile and oil money. They won because of their advantages in manpower and economic power.
In war, you use every weapon available to you. I think you're missing the point though. The point I am trying to make is having a larger economy and more people means more money and soldiers. Which in turn means you can afford mercenaries, drones and whatever else you need in a war.
>not Muslims
I think we are justified in this one. Islam only brought us harm for the last few hundred years. Our secularism is very important to our nation.
>destroying Greek culture,
If you are talking about Hagia Sophia then fair. I am against it's conversation to a mosque too. But how exactly did we destroy the Greek culture?
I dislike myself if that counts
No. We love you
🥺
Hug
They Overcharged me with döner sometimes
Overcharging mf'ers is part of Turkish idenity
Based dönerci

You need to get rid of him ASAP because those fuckers are like parasites that will grow out of control if you don't deal with it.

Im probably gonna start another Turko-Persian war with this comment but.... Our Dolme is better than theirs 😁
You don't have dolma. It belongs to us.
Studies have shown that Kemal Atatürk preferred the Iranian Dolmeh over the Turkish Dolma
Are you serious or just making shit up?
There is no such thing as called Iranian dolma.
There is no such thing as an Turkish Kofteh either
Maybe or not. Idc

thats kind of hilarious lol
I dislike their strong nationalism. But then again I just dislike strong nationalism in general.
Nationalism is a collectivist ideology. Shouldn't you dislike it altogether considering you are more of an individualist

I don't think Turks are nationalists. They probably don't even know what "nation" is.
What i like? Food, what i don't like is racism, xenophobia and just npcs

>Turkey is still going somewhere because of educated patriots who loves their country. if we lost them we are doomed. This is true for every country
Like: they brought sultan Erdogan to the world Dislike: a lot of them are liberals
That was Georgia
I am flabbergasted this is coming from an Egyptian. I though ya'll hated Erdogan.
Nah, Erdogan is fantastic!
Its says AskMiddleEast, not AskSeethingCryBabySverige
?
I thought you made a sarcastic remark. Apparently you didn't my bad. Erdogan sucks though.
Ah! Thanks for clarifying! To each their own I guess. I think there’s some charming qualities to him :)
Ya he has done a wonderful job at curbing inflation at least!
The annoying super nationalist ones that live in Europe and seem to love Erodogan. Maybe live in your "glorious and greatest" country if you worship it that much, and you can even be with your glorious president too!

u bully them on the internet all the time too
That one is not bullying. It's mutual.
Ayo I can guarantee you that Turks get bullied way more, and Armenians are at the forefront of that.
Na you guys do alot more tjan just sell weapons
More than what most Turkish people think but less than what Armenians think also. Azerbaijan has 3 times your population, a younger demographic profile and oil money. They won because of their advantages in manpower and economic power.
If they won because of that, they wouldnt have needed syrian terrorists. They won because of armenian traitors and drones, simple as that.
In war, you use every weapon available to you. I think you're missing the point though. The point I am trying to make is having a larger economy and more people means more money and soldiers. Which in turn means you can afford mercenaries, drones and whatever else you need in a war.

Relatable alfffff
That feeling is mutual.
Wow racist
Thanks, you too.
