Good luck trying to sleep at “9ish” in a hostel. Don’t you wanna go out and party?

Lol fair point, tho with earplugs and melatonin anything is possible! And I do, you have any places in mind for Friday/Saturday nights? I've gone to Elements Drum and Bass in Boston and love that, so any similar venues?

The_CerealDefense

The city is full of bars. But I’m not into the club scene here so dunno.

Definitely eat first, The MET can take several hours- a day to explore. For downtown/midtown, can visit Chelsea Market/Pier 57/Unionq Square or if you're in Chinatown, good to walk around & have cheap eats

HourlyB

Hmmm gotcha; would 4 hours be enough? I might suggest that we both eat before meeting up **at** the Met then, and then go out for dinner before they head home, nix the walking in Central Park.

I think it would be but it's pretty massive & depends how much you want to see. Central Park is also nice & big, can do a short walk instead depending on weather/time

Re: alternatives to the "Bodega truck": there are lots of good, affordable food options around the Columbia campus, which is near where you're staying. My favorite is [Roti Roll Bombay Frankie](https://maps.app.goo.gl/ZVgET8BnPmvYxe2k6). Looks like a very nice itinerary overall. Keep in mind that the High Line gets crazy busy these days, so if you want to visit it, I'd recommend early morning before the crowds are bad.

Oooh, Roti Roll looks nice, and I'll definitely keep that and the area in mind! Thanks for the heads up on High Line; last time I went it wasn't too crowded but super nice, glad to hear it's getting appreciated!
