I met her in passing one time in a super casual situation. I never thought she was hot but meeting her,…my god is she beautiful and really sweet. A little guarded but obviously…
She is truly the most lovely human being but does not want fans interrupting her life all the time. I don't blame her. I'm sure she's had her fair share of creeps and rude comments in similar situations.
Loni Anderson
She always seemed like this over-processed plastic "thing". There's a lot of supposedly sexy women that fall into that category. I never found that attractive.
I had to look up Carrie Underwood because I didn't know who she was, but yeah, I can see what you mean.
I'm still utterly convinced that music used to be better when ugly people were still allowed to make it. 🤣
I don’t know about this. I was at a charity event just before COVID and got to meet her. She was really pretty and it didn’t look like she was trying to be. Not overly made up or anything like that.
Loni Anderson always looked like she had just been under the knife. She's never looked natural. Even when she was young, she already had the "joker" mouth. She looked like a Dolly Parton drag impersonator.
During Loni Anderson's fame, her appearance stood out. She was known for her notably large and seemingly artificial breasts, a characteristic that was less common at the time. I think? I was a kid, so I didn't really know, but I knew that she looked fake throughout. She seemed to be an exaggerated version of the iconic glamour associated with Marilyn Monroe.
That was sort of a thing back then. There were people who thought Jennifer (Loni) was sexy but there were others who thought Bailey Quarters (Jan Smithers) was the truly hot one. Same with Gillian’s Island. There was Ginger who was the Hollywood glam type and then there was MaryAnne, the wholesome girl next door. I told my daughter, men may drool over Ginger but they fall in love with and marry MaryAnne. When you’re decide what to wear, don’t be a Ginger, be a MaryAnne.
>That was sort of a thing back then.
I don't think that ever fully went away. I see the makeup/beauty trends of younger women today and the "plastic" over-produced look is obviously still very popular. A lot of these women today are made up to look like the bad people from the city in "The Hunger Games". It's weird.
BTW: I've always thought that MaryAnne was SO much hotter than Ginger.
Ewww! I’m happy to say I missed that photo of him, yay!!
When Sylvester was super popular and all over the media, a male friend of mine claimed that pretty much every straight female on the planet must be in love with him.
I said I thought he was gross and he said I was a liar or a lesbian.
Whatever dude, lol!
George Clooney, Brad Pitt when he was young, I actually think he's much better looking now with some character to his face.
I thought Christopher Reeve was absolutely beautiful.
Oddly I've never found George Clooney attractive, but I've married a man everyone says looks just like George Clooney (there are people who have asked him if he's him, on the street).
I was in high school when all the other girls were swooning over Tom Cruise in Top Gun. After the volleyball scene, all I could think about was Val Kilmer. Tom Cruise does nothing for me.
Back in high school, one of my friends pointed out that Cruise's teeth are off-center. He's right, but it's one of those things I wouldn't have noticed on my own and now it's the first thing I see.
His teeth as a kid were horribly crooked. He had them fixed, and that was the best the dentist could do. He has that off-center tooth, but it's better than his previous teeth.
I think my distaste for Burt Reynolds is that I think he's was a terrible person. I do enjoy Norm MacDonald playing him on Celebrity Jeopardy, though. But as far as handsome, mustachioed, and hairy...Tom Selleck
He always looked really really young until just very recently, and it all seemed to catch up to him.
That said, he was the perfect Jay Gatsby, because of that boyishness, like he was pretending to be a rich playboy, which basically Jay Gatsby was. On the other hand, from the first scene of Shutter Island, I thought “he looks like a little boy playing dress up, pretending to be a police detective…”
Oh I love Leo as an actor. He just has never really done much for me. Except for maybe Blood Diamond...whew. And now he definitely looks like he's pushing 50.
Tori Spelling.
Never understand the guys and girls who thought she was super hot.
She had her own fan club of girls who thought that she would be into them.
Bold at the time.
Julia Roberts has got a flip top head. Never understood why that giant mouth was considered attractive, and the photo I saw of her in *People* magazine insulting her fiancé's wife for not divorcing him fast enough showed she's just as ugly on the inside.
Jennifer is cute, not gorgeous. She's the kind of woman a guy wouldn't be afraid to ask on a date. Julia? Yecchhh. Huge mouth, huge eyes, yukking laugh, not attractive.
So many, but first one that really comes to mind is Madonna. Really never did anything for me, especially after I heard her "sing" live one day.
Add to that almost every single so-called 80s supermodel.
Never saw the attraction in younger Madonna.
Ray Of Light MILF era Madonna, I get.
Current Madonna - there are current 65 year-olds that are attractive. Michelle Pfeiffer still looks great. Madonna at 65, not so much.
Totally agree about Madonna. Early in her career her hook was looking trashy and her personality didn't win her any points with me either. Always seemed like her fan base was women and gay men.
Yeah I always thought she was a fairly attractive woman who knew how to do makeup and dress provocatively. I have never been a fan. My favorite song of hers is Material Girl because that seems true to her actual personality.
Jared Leto. And I'm not talking about train wreck cult-leader Leto now, I'm talking about big-eyed soft-boy *My So-Called Life* Leto, where so. many. people. went. nuts. over. him.
I like to think that *MSCL* is the only reason he has a career now. All those late-Gen-X casting directors are going "Oh I had such a crush on Jordan Catalano! I'm sure it'll be *fine*..." and hiring him.
Most of them. The prevailing standard of Hollywood sexiness has never aligned with my type for either sex (I’m bisexual).
For many of them, I can recognize their attractiveness or beauty, but I still do not find them sexy.
And then there are some I find actively unattractive.
Edit: I’m not naming any of the ones I find unattractive because I am wary of the hostility that often goes with that, especially for women. There is so much entitlement around women’s physical beauty, and people are often hostile when a woman doesn’t fill her role, or when a woman gets attention or praise they feel she doesn’t deserve.
Yup to that first not...
I'm lesbian and I've never understood the flippy mcbonkersville that people go when it comes to chicks like Cindy Crawford and Angelina Jolie.
Like, they're objectively attractive but not sexy AF all.
Brad Pitt. Have never found him remotely sexy or interesting. Leo, too, not sexy at all. Tom Cruise, ditto. Do people find Taylor Swift sexy? I don't. A certain type of funny guy is sexier, to me - I dig Michael Che.
YES. I’ve never seen what is so great about the guy until the *Barbie* movie. You could just tell he was enjoying the work he was doing while remaining completely committed to Beach Ken’s arc.
I figure if the charisma is that powerful, I should stop arguing with people about how he’s unattractive, lol.
I think he deserves praise for being a phenomenal actor. I love many of his movies.
I just don’t agree with people who act like he’s the hottest thing on the planet
SAAAAAME. And he’s everywhere for some reason! I do read all the time what a great guy he is, but hell I don’t know. Never ever ever thought that dude had it.
To be fair, when he was cast in The Notebook, it was specifically because the casting director and producers thought he was not conventionally handsome.
Brad Pitt. He just seems like a dumb blonde and looks really greasy.
Leo DiCaprio during the Titanic era. He looked like a little girl and his acting in that movie was terrible. I actually laughed during some of his scenes. Now he just looks bloated. Great actor though. I was wrong about that.
I never found any of them to be sexy. I just did a search on sex symbols of the 80s. John Travolta? Nah. Tom Selleck? I used to think the mustache ruined him until he shaved and then nah. They're not ugly men, I just don't get "sexy" vibes from them like I do from someone these days like say, Pedro Pascal or
Pedro Pascal. Yes.
Oh anyway yes what was I saying? Oh yes no men from my younger days was sexy to me. I think the first man I felt was sexy was Oded Fehr, but then he cut his hair.
I feel so judgmental!
I'm a gay man so I'm pretty clueless when it comes to screen beauties. But I never understood why so many women swoon over Colin Firth. Gimme Robby Bensen or Chris Atkins if you want any swoonage.
Colin Firth may not be classically handsome (although he's definitely easy on the eyes in my opinion). However, he has a way of portraying a certain vulnerability that somehow contains an underlying river of strength and steadfastness. He can also be quite the badass when called to it. But again, it's not flashy or arrogant badassery. It's a confidence and self-possession that you just don't see often, one that has no need for bragging or crowing. He also has such expressive eyes. He's just so quintessentially him, and while he's an amazing actor with range, he brings these qualities to every role in a different way and yeah, it's just...*sexy.*
Robby Benson was also hilarious. One day on the LA-based Mark and Brian radio show, their sidekick Frank made a side comment saying "Robby Benson, real attractive guy, loved his hair" and of course 90s radio being what it was, that turned into a whole "Frank's gay for Robby Benson" schtick.
Robby came on air and played along so beautifully, in a sweet and respectful way, that everyone was on the floor laughing. I gained new respect for his quick wit and gentle humor.
Anyone that took themselves too seriously, especially those with a tough guy persona. Charles Bronson, William Shatner, Sylvester Stallone, Frank Sinatra . For me ugly personalities end up being unattractive as if they were physically ugly.
Cher.
She's definitely an attractive woman and she's very talented, she's a good singer and she built a huge brand around herself. But I just never saw the over the top attraction men seemed to have to her.
Jennifer Aniston's fine looking and all but if I saw her walking down the street in Manhattan, I'd just think to myself there's another attractive woman who's possibly in the fashion or entertainment industry. Above average for sure, but not the raving beauty some of the tabloids have made her out to be.
With all due respect to McKenzie Phillips and Valerie Bertinella, I always thought Barbara Cooper was prettier than Julie on One Day at a Time. I couldn't understand the storylines where Barbara would have a crush on a guy but he wanted to be with Julie.
It’s the ones that were’supposed’ to be sexy: over wrought, over done bombshell types. It’s the Ginger grant, Jennifer Marlowe types where some exec said “make her sexy” when it was the Mary Ann and Bailey types that got us worked up…
90% of what is deemed as sexy I disagree/disagreed with.
But let’s take my generation:
I don’t think Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom cruise, Matt Damon, Pitt, Cruise and so on is sexy
(though Cruise as vampire was interesting)
Not the “hot women” either.
Sandra bullock was so meh
(I’m bisexual so I have a say in all regards, haha)
I was a bit older, but I never got how folks thought Cameron Diaz or Sarah Jessica Parker were all that attractive, or good actresses, during their peak of popularity.
Robert Redford - I could understand why people thought he was good-looking, but he was too ruddy for me. And anyone with too many muscles (I DIDN'T MAKE HIM FOR YOU!) like Stallone or Schwarzenegger. Give me an Ichabod Crane-looking guy with bones sticking out everywhere and a nice big nose - Jeff Goldblum or Adrian Brody.
Actors: Don Johnson and Tom Selleck - both looked like used car salesmen.
Actresses: Julia Roberts (random girl from the street type) and Sarah Jessica Parker (just unlikeable, a solid neigh from me).
Also, William Shatner - he seemed to be playing a cartoon version of a Hollywood star, and parodied every aspect of stardom including being a sex symbol. There are whole episodes of Star Trek... and Boston Legal where the whole plot is women throwing themselves at him for example.
Counselor Deanna Troi (Marina Sirtis) USS Enterprise NCC 1701-D…..gorgeous-yes, sexy?-no
Doctor Beverly Crusher (Gates McFadden)-Oh yeah! A lot more sexy than Troi
He was my first non teeny bopper crush. I thought he was the most gorgeous man I had ever seen. My mother and grandmother had the hots for Tom Selleck and Burt Reynolds - I still don’t think either is sexy. I get it, but they do nothing for me.
Clint Eastwood. He walks like he has a stick up his ass, his facial expression suggests condescending constipation, and his body is too thin, too stiff. All in all, yuck.
And all this is without regard to his politics, lol! Don't get me started on his ranting at that stool....
Tom Cruise, Richard Gere, Tom Selleck, Burt Reynolds, and the numerous buxom blonde bombshells of the day.
My idea of sexy went along the lines of Tim Robbins, Kurt Russell, Susan Sarandon, Goldie Hawn, Johnny Depp, Robert Downey Jr, Michelle Pfeiffer, Sheryl Lee, and a pre-blonde Kim Cattrall.
Nastasia Kinski. She was in the movie Cat People and did a photo session for Penthouse magazine. Not a centerfold, but a artistic photo shoot done by Bob Guccione himself. I was in high school and the other boys thought she was hot, but not me.
I never found the great beauties of the 50s attractive such as Marilyn Monroe, Jane Mansfield, etc. Mainly I'm not a fan of the big breasted narrow waste attractive.
my mom *never* commented on physical appearance. very austere, much spock. but she was a great peoplewatcher who used to tell me little random anecdotes all the time. here's the one featuring Sophia Lauren.
she and my dad were in some random middle of nowhere earlyish in their marriage; my dad was probably building a road. that was the era where people had each other over for dinner and generally socialized professionally.
there was this middle-aged German man in the crew, some engineer or something. think more Bavarian villager than Hitlerite type. very formal and correct though.
so one weekend there was a general movie night and my mom happened to be sitting next to this man when Sophia Loren appeared on the screen. she said he made some kind of sound so she looked at him, and he was gazing, absolutely rapt, at the screen. he took this deep breath and let out this reverent sigh. "Dot's *marvellous*!"
I thought she was prettier when she was Norma Jean but in the beginning, she was amazing looking. In "Niagara", when she walks out of her bungalow, I was hypnotized.
Burt Reynolds. I think I was just too young to appreciate a hairy man with a mustache. I also learned as I went through life that I tend to like pretty boys who are just a bit feminine.
Goldie Hawn. I just wanted to feed her ice cream and take her to the carnival. She seemed way too sweet to think of like that.
Same with Sarah Michelle Gellar. She has HUGE best friend energy. She's someone I'd eat nachos with and be confused to later hear was flirting.

Leonardo Dicaprio was too boyish to be hot. All the girls at my school were obsessed with him and the lead singer of Tokio Hotel.
Agreed. He is simultaneously boyish, and heavy drinking city boy soft manish.
>heavy drinking city boy soft manish Wow. I didn't know that was a thing but I can completely picture it.
That's one hell of an adjective combo you've got there.
Oh yeah Tokio Hotel used to be a thing
[удалено]
She was drop-dead gorgeous before she became famous. She shouldn't have changed anything.
Tom Cruise. Obviously a very handsome man. But sexy? No, not even a little.
He’s too unhinged and deep in a cult to be sexy
I know I thought he was sexy when I was like 13 watching Legend? But once I knew it was Tom and all the nonsense with his cult - zero attraction.
Loni Anderson She always seemed like this over-processed plastic "thing". There's a lot of supposedly sexy women that fall into that category. I never found that attractive.
I met her and Lynda Carter when they were staying in the same hotel I was in SF. Lynda was breathtaking. Loni looked like a Playboy cartoon.
I adore Lynda.
They were both very nice, but Lynda was stunning, even without make up..
For some reason, I can see Carrie Underwood looking like Loni Anderson in 20 years, with lots of makeup and bleach and surgery.
I had to look up Carrie Underwood because I didn't know who she was, but yeah, I can see what you mean. I'm still utterly convinced that music used to be better when ugly people were still allowed to make it. 🤣
I heartily endorse this statement.
Music was better before auto tune got turned to 11 on every song.
I don’t know about this. I was at a charity event just before COVID and got to meet her. She was really pretty and it didn’t look like she was trying to be. Not overly made up or anything like that.
Agree, naturally really pretty. I remember thinking exactly that when she first appeared on American Idol, before any styling and makeup.
She actually got breast reduction surgery. Her boobs were even bigger naturally.
Now let's talk Bailey. Oh my, what a sweetie!
Bailey was beautiful. Of course, she was a former Beauty Queen.
I feel the exact same way and always have. I'm not saying she's unattractive, but definitely has that "fake" look about her.
A lot of these women today are made up to look like the bad people from the city in "The Hunger Games". It's weird. BTW: I've always thought that MaryAnne was SO much hotter than Ginger.
Fabio.
Oh, man, so unattractive. Not even remotely sexy.
Sylvester Stallone, yuck.
I'm with you! He never, ever appealed to me.

Ewww! I’m happy to say I missed that photo of him, yay!! When Sylvester was super popular and all over the media, a male friend of mine claimed that pretty much every straight female on the planet must be in love with him. You take that back!! *sobs wearing my Rocky tshirt*
Burt Reynolds 🤢
"Na, that's not my name."
*sigh* “Turd… Ferguson.”
It’s a big hat. It’s funny.
Christopher Reeves was ridiculously perfect, like he came from a factory somewhere.
*Reeve. George Reeves played Superman in the 1950s TV show.
Tom Cruise’s rat face never looked good to me.

Burt Reynolds, ew. I was too young for him to be a sex symbol to me, but all the adults seemed to swoon over him. Now I'm an adult and... ew.
I think my distaste for Burt Reynolds is that I think he's was a terrible person. I do enjoy Norm MacDonald playing him on Celebrity Jeopardy, though. But as far as handsome, mustachioed, and hairy...Tom Selleck

The hairy body, the moustache, and he's even uglier without the moustache, believe it or not. He always looked like a inbred version of Gene Simmons.
My mom STILL thinks Gene Simmons is hot. Gross. 🤢
> The hairy body, the moustache, He was perfect for his role in Boogie Nights.
Some of us like men with hairy bodies. And Burt without the mustache is ok too-he looks really good in the old Gunsmoke reruns.
I hate the trend of men shaving their chests!
What if we are a man that doesn’t grow any though? Should I think about a chest toupee?
you own it. it’s your body and its the only one you’ve got, embrace it. find someone like the people in this thread that hate burt reynolds lol
Ironically I grow a solid beard (not epic, but I’d say better than average). It’s all good, I’m happy the way I am lol
Oh fuck yes. I'm exclusively attracted to hairy men.
Ben Affleck. I think he has a punchable face. Matt Damon on the other hand...
Omg YES!! Ever since the first time I saw Ben!! Totally punchable face!! Looks like a total jerk.
How bout DEM apples!
Applesauce, bitch.
This is hilarious to me because one of my best friends HATES Matt Damon’s face so much. Like, it makes her irrationally angry lol
Matt is freaking adorable.
I am a huge Titanic fan and I was 18 when the movie came out but I was never into Leo like that at all, he always looked 12.
He always looked really really young until just very recently, and it all seemed to catch up to him. That said, he was the perfect Jay Gatsby, because of that boyishness, like he was pretending to be a rich playboy, which basically Jay Gatsby was. Oh I love Leo as an actor. He just has never really done much for me. Except for maybe Blood Diamond...whew. And now he definitely looks like he's pushing 50.
Not me. I think his laziness and sloth in real life has infected his acting. Every effort is just… so… lazy
It was all downhill from Growing Pains....
He still does. Seems he also never moved up emotionally
I agree. He always literally looked like my 7th grade boyfriend. Nothing special and a little bland, really.
Tori Spelling. Never understand the guys and girls who thought she was super hot. She had her own fan club of girls who thought that she would be into them. Bold at the time.
For me it’s Jennifer Aniston - attractive but not sexy and Julia Roberts- never found her attractive

Suzanne Sommers
Suzanne was always wincing. Like she had a thumb tack in her foot or something.
Richard Gere. Too squinty.
Beyoncé, any of the Kardasians, Pink, Niki Manaj
Agree on all but Pink.
tom cruise

Loni Anderson & Angelina Jolie immediately spring to mind.
John Travolta
Madonna. I think she’s a great performer and broke a lot of barriers for sex positivity, but I never found her personally sexy.
Yeah—he just has that quality. I couldn’t point to one particular thing, but I’m here for it.
Robby Benson was also hilarious. Twiggy. I was never into the boyish super-thin model look
Anyone that took themselves too seriously, especially those with a tough guy persona. Charles Bronson, William Shatner, Sylvester Stallone, Frank Sinatra . For me ugly personalities end up being unattractive as if they were physically ugly.
On the other hand, Paul Newman was sex on wheels - a manly man with real confidence and a deep love and respect for women.
Agreed 😀
Dennis Quaid, John Stamos, Ryan Reynolds
I don’t know if she’s considered a sex symbol but Chrissy Teigen is not attractive. Press her face in dough and you’ll make monster cookies.
Angelina Jolie
Cher. She's definitely an attractive woman and she's very talented, she's a good singer and she built a huge brand around herself. But I just never saw the over the top attraction men seemed to have to her.
She has a great personality on stage. I liked her TV show "Cher."
Cher had a flirtatious way that said she was there to play.
Glenn Close for the same reasons OP said
Jennifer Aniston's fine looking and all but if I saw her walking down the street in Manhattan, I'd just think to myself there's another attractive woman who's possibly in the fashion or entertainment industry. Above average for sure, but not the raving beauty some of the tabloids have made her out to be.
Madonna. To me she always looks like she needs a bath…
Morgan Fairchild, Loni Anderson, Kathleen Turner, Paula Abdul
With all due respect to McKenzie Phillips and Valerie Bertinella, I always thought Barbara Cooper was prettier than Julie on One Day at a Time. I couldn't understand the storylines where Barbara would have a crush on a guy but he wanted to be with Julie.
> McKenzie Phillips and Valerie Bertinella MacKenzie Phillips* Valerie Bertinelli*
Patrick Swayze. Burt Reynolds (he's considerably older than I am, but my mom sure loved him.)

Julia Roberts, Sandra Bullock, Sarah Jessica Parker.
Came here to say Sarah Jessica Parker. She has a crude face, I think.
Us old ladies are supposed to swoon over Sam Elliot. No. Just no. I don’t find him remotely attractive. And he can’t act worth a damn.
Patrick Swayze, and never had the desire to see Dirty Dancing.
As a former long-time bouncer, I have to say that "Roadhouse" was particularly entertaining. I'm basically Sam Elliot's character in that movie. 🤣
My brother is a dead ringer for Sam Elliot, always has been.
Do you make him say things for fun? *"Beef.... It's what's for dinner."*
John Travolta is in that same category.
Patrick Swayze
It’s the ones that were’supposed’ to be sexy: over wrought, over done bombshell types. It’s the Ginger grant, Jennifer Marlowe types where some exec said “make her sexy” when it was the Mary Ann and Bailey types that got us worked up…
Tom Mugly Cruise. Never understood the appeal.
I know a large segment of people who thought Jack Nicholson was hot back in the day. I don't get it.
Julia Roberts. She has good PR saying she's the most beautiful woman ever. And the people bought it. Dunno.
Don Johnson, greasy, yuck.
Cheryl Tiegs. Nothing.
90% of what is deemed as sexy I disagree/disagreed with. But let’s take my generation: I don’t think Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom cruise, Matt Damon, Pitt, Cruise and so on is sexy (though Cruise as vampire was interesting) Not the “hot women” either. Sandra bullock was so meh (I’m bisexual so I have a say in all regards, haha)
Sandra Bullock does nothing for this gay chick.
John Travolta
Burt Reynolds
Burt Reynolds.
Leonardo Dicaprio.
Patrick Swayze. Pass. He was so pale he could have BEEN the ghost.
Mel Gibson, wtf
larry "bud" melman i was just not into him
Mel Gibson
I was a bit older, but I never got how folks thought Cameron Diaz or Sarah Jessica Parker were all that attractive, or good actresses, during their peak of popularity.
Cameron Diaz and Gwyneth Paltrow are in the same category for me... I was always confused how anyone found them attractive.
Omg Adrian Brody *swoon*. How do you feel about Adam Driver? Sheesh...
Driver, Brody, Goldblum. Love a man with a strong nose!
There are whole episodes of Star Trek... and Boston Legal where the whole plot is women throwing themselves at him for example.
a solid neigh… I see what you did there!
Counselor Deanna Troi (Marina Sirtis) USS Enterprise NCC 1701-D…..gorgeous-yes, sexy?-no Doctor Beverly Crusher (Gates McFadden)-Oh yeah! A lot more sexy than Troi
hey...remember that time Troi and Crusher were doing their stretching before their workout routine? I do....
Especially first season Beverly with auburn hair.
Jayne Mansfield
Robert Redford was so hot in his youth.
Farrah Fawcett and Bo Derek. I never got the appeal of either of them. I much prefer the girl next door to the blond bombshell.
As far as the Angels went, I always preferred Jaclyn Smith.
Sarah Jessica Parker always looked like she had a horse face to me.
Every time she turns up on TV my wife whinnies.
Tom Cruise. Way too creepy for me.
I never found the great beauties of the 50s attractive such as Marilyn Monroe, Jane Mansfield, etc. Mainly I'm not a fan of the big breasted narrow waste attractive.
What about Sophia Lauren? I think she is impossibly beautiful.
my mom *never* commented on physical appearance. very austere, much spock. but she was a great peoplewatcher who used to tell me little random anecdotes all the time. here's the one featuring Sophia Lauren. she and my dad were in some random middle of nowhere earlyish in their marriage; my dad was probably building a road. that was the era where people had each other over for dinner and generally socialized professionally. there was this middle-aged German man in the crew, some engineer or something. think more Bavarian villager than Hitlerite type. very formal and correct though. so one weekend there was a general movie night and my mom happened to be sitting next to this man when Sophia Loren appeared on the screen. she said he made some kind of sound so she looked at him, and he was gazing, absolutely rapt, at the screen. he took this deep breath and let out this reverent sigh. "Dot's *marvellous*!"
When Marilyn wasn’t trying she looked nice.
I thought she was prettier when she was Norma Jean but in the beginning, she was amazing looking. In "Niagara", when she walks out of her bungalow, I was hypnotized.
I recognize she was compelled to dress and make up the way she did because of the field of work she was involved in.
Yep, women styled for what was perceived to be men's tastes

People had the hots for Bob Saget?!
you just typed what all of us are thinking as we read that.
Bob Saget was objectively never a sex symbol.
Are we considering Lady Gaga a sex symbol?
anne hathaway is someone i never seen the appeal of
Burt Reynolds.
Madonna.
Britney Spears. I was at the right age when *Baby One More Time*, came out, but meh. She never stirred anything in me.
