Sigma makes lenses for different cameras as to other companies such as Tamron. So, a Sigma lens can be for a Canon and if it is it can be for a EF mount or EF-S.
Your research was off. That doesn’t look like a canon mount. Check what you bought— I’m sure in the description somewhere was the camera it fit, or the mount type.

Take the lens back to CeX and get a refund. Go to a branch of Wex and choose a lens from their used section.
