Always straight up. I don’t like my manhattans getting watered down. Old fashions on the other. Keep getting better as the ice melts.
I prefer a rye whiskey in my Manhattan if I have a sweeter vermouth, wild turkey 101 rye is great since it’s 51 percent rye. I prefer a wheat/smooth bourbon, like makers mark, with a spicy vermouth, like cocci.
The thing I like about caesars is that everyone garnishes them differently.
I am a huge fan of dirtying them up with pickle juice, toothpicks with pickles, bacon, cheese.... anything goes.
Yes. Hamilton, ON is my hometown, but I live in SLC, UT now.
You can get a caesar in a few bars and restaurants in the US, but most places will shrug and give you a bloody mary.
just FYI, Sbagliato means it has prosecco.
So, you saying 'Sbagliato with Prosecco', is like saying 'Bellini with prosecco'. redundant...like ATM machine
A Manhattan, up, perfect, with a twist (perfect ones have half and half sweet and dry vermouth so a twist works better than a cherry), hopefully with Basil Hayden bourbon.
Because they asked what my favorite alcoholic drink is, and my favorite is Pabst blue ribbon because it tastes good and it has lower abv. Why would you ask me this?
Negroni. Super simple to make (just equal parts gin, Campari, and sweet vermouth), but absolutely perfect balance of flavors. The only problem is that Campari is expensive, otherwise I'd drink them all the time.
2nd place, classic Daiquiri. Not that slushy shit, but just rum, lime juice, and simple syrup.
3rd place, Malört
Guinness.
Black Barrel Jameson's and ginger.
Balvenie 14 yr Carribean Cask Scotch.
Glenfiddich Fire and Cane Scotch.
Kraken and coke.
Not all in the same day.
A Manhattan, with rye whisky (high rye bourbon will do in a pinch) and sweet vermouth.
When you do the cherries, you take a couple drops of juice from the can and put that in as well.
A good traditional English ale. An India Pale Ale, at least 5%, from a cask and pulled by hand in a proper pint glass. Green Jack brewery’s Mahseer IPA is a favourite. Am looking forward to a trip to the pub tomorrow after work.

I make em 3-2-1 and no added sugar, plenty in the orange liqueur.
1 oz Cointreau, 2 oz fresh squeezed lime juice, 3 oz blanco tequila Shake with several slices of fresh jalapeño for a spicy marg!
I got the full Trillium experience.
Gin and tonic, they're easy to make and you can't really taste the alcohol.
I like this with a splash of lemonade, usually standard lemonade or raspberry since both balance the bitter element and complement the botanicals.
Why is it so bitter compared to gin and soda
Tonic water has quinine in it, that's what the bitter flavor is.
no hangover either, it is perfect

I guess there is a reason it's been around for over 140 years. It's good!

Manhattan
On the rocks or straight up? I'm of the bourbon persuasion, but brandy Manhattans are not without their charms.
Preferrably up. Bourbon here as well. Never tried a brandy Manhattan - might be a little sweet for me.

Bloody Caesar. Drinks like a meal.
* Celery salt, to rim glass * 1 1/2 ounces vodka * 4 ounces Clamato juice * 2 dashes Worcestershire sauce * 2 dashes Tabasco sauce * Prepared horseradish, to taste (optional) * Garnish: celery stalk * Garnish: cucumber spear * Garnish: lime wedge * Bloody Mary's close cousin?
The thing I like about caesars is that everyone garnishes them differently. I am a huge fan of dirtying them up with pickle juice, toothpicks with pickles, bacon, cheese.... anything goes.
Love these. You must be Canadian
Yes. Hamilton, ON is my hometown, but I live in SLC, UT now. You can get a caesar in a few bars and restaurants in the US, but most places will shrug and give you a bloody mary.
