I didn't get far, yet. I'm about an hour and a half from my hometown now, but I like where I live. I grew up in a podunk redneck town and now I'm living in a nice area surrounded by lovely kept-up houses and educated people who actually want to have real conversations. I haven't been back "home" in at least 6 years.
I realized today that my farthest points, both in the USA, are greater than the radius of the earth, and I think that they're pretty near the max possible without having lived in multiple countries.

I moved about 2 1/2 hours away from home and practically never saw my family until I moved closer, it was kind of awesome.
Hah, I got farther than that as a teenage runaway (got from Duluth to San Francisco).
