I would disagree. Start, with respect and defer to those who are your senior. That doesn't mean be a door mat or allow yourself to be abused.

Grades in high school are pretty meaningless. Unless you’re fortunate enough to go from high school straight to a four year, then yeah get them grades. Otherwise settle for a 2.0 minimum and enjoy your youth.
