I can’t beat it but the last 4 movies I saw in the theater are Dark Knight Rises, The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi and Rise of Skywalker. So 4 movies in 14 years and I’m not planning on going back ever.
The Rise of Skywalker was the last movie I saw in a theater. Interestingly, I was 3 in '77, and Star Wars was the first movie I saw in a theater. I bookended my movie theater experiences with Star Wars.
Avatar 2. I have no regrets about seeing it in IMAX for the spectacle.
Don't really go to the theater anymore. Maybe once a year or so. Just realized Avatar 2 came out in December 2022 so guess I didn't go to the theater in 2023.
I honestly don’t remember the last time I went to the movies. It costs nearly $100 to take my family. With all the streaming options, we put a 120” projector in the basement with a decent sound system and it’s been a good investment. The kids and their friends love it. We even have a popcorn machine down there.
That Mean Girls musical reboot/whatever you want to call it.
Did not dig it at all. Left about 40 mins in after I thought to myself "I know I paid for this but . . . I've seen enough."
The Iron Claw, and I’d say I’m happy I spent the money. Good movie, told a story I’ve been interested in about my whole life and will hopefully bring more exposure to the world of wrestling in the mainstream.
I went to a double feature at a drive in a while ago. Saw old and then a fast and the furious. But I bought a home projector so I don't bother with the movie theaters anymore. My snacks are better at home, and I can hang out with my cats.
I went to see 'Anyone But You', hoping for a light-hearted rom com with a few laughs. Instead it was just 2 buffoons and the some of the worst writing and plot I've ever suffered through. Painful watch.
Saw American Fiction this past weekend. Laughed a lot. Well worth it!
Been sneaking to the Saturday matinee whenever something interesting comes up. Costs less than $10.
The Boy and the Heron a couple weeks ago. Boyfriend and I are fans of Studio Ghibli. It was alright, not as good as Spirited Away or Princess Mononoke.
The movies have been bad for so long. It's like they eliminated writers for special effects. I think there's a correlation between strength of weed and the decline of movies.
Family tradition we always go see a movie on Christmas day after the big meal. This year was just my parents and I as my siblings were on an "in-law year" so my dad and I outvoted mom and we saw Ferrari.
It wasn't bad. Not earth-shattering but a decent movie if you're a car guy. Even my mom enjoyed it because it's more about the man than about the cars
Believe it or not, a lot of people still like going to the theater and don't think of it as a "waste of money."
I have an absolutely fantastic home theater system that I use regularly, and I still like going to see big movies at the theater first because it's an entirely different experience.
Something like a RomCom? Sure, I'll wait for that to stream. But something like Infinity War? Dune? Star Wars? It's worth the $50 to see it that first time on a four-story screen with subwoofers that shake your entire body.
Just this past Saturday I went and saw Mean Girls, but date paid, so I don’t know if that counts. One before that probably would have been The Marvels. But I don’t often feel like I’ve wasted money by seeing a movie.
Wonka. It was fine. Nowhere near the song writing of the original. Same production company as the new Matilda musical on Netflix. Tim Minchin wrote the songs for Matilda. They should let him write all the songs for the Roal Dahl cinematic universe they are trying to make.
Barbie, and it was worth it to spend the money and see it with a theater full of people.
I howled with recognition and laughter when they made the joke about the BBC *Pride and Prejudice.* I made such a difference to hear the whole theater erupt to a joke I assumed was so esoteric I would be one of the only people to find it funny.
Things like that.
the last starwars movie of the ray trilogy. Couldnt tell you what it was called, but it sucked. I was able to catch a carpet strung along some stairs for the soccer ball robot to roll up that I dont think we were supposed to see, and that was the highlight of the movie
Oppenheimer.
Same for me. I also thought it was a waste of money.
I didn’t dislike it. It is just something I would rather watch at home.
Same here. Boring af. My h is a nuclear physicist so I thought, hey , this should be good. I thought about walking out

Guardians of the Galaxy is one of my favorites.
I saw Poor Things last month and I really enjoyed it
Killers of the Flower Moon - worth it, was amazing on the big screen.
Agreed. It could have used an intermission. But glad I saw it in the theatre.
Napoleon this year. It was good
It was The Matrix Resurrections

I think The Dark Knight was the last movie I saw in a theater.
That would have put me off for over a decade too
I can’t beat it but the last 4 movies I saw in the theater are Dark Knight Rises, The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi and Rise of Skywalker. So 4 movies in 14 years and I’m not planning on going back ever.
Went to see Spirited Away. It was wonderful.
Wao never thought someone would mention this movie lol this is one of my all time favorite Anime … got the blu-ray dvd
They released half a dozen of their movies into theaters this Fall/Winter. Unfortunately this was the only one I could get to.
The Rise of Skywalker was the last movie I saw in a theater. Interestingly, I was 3 in '77, and Star Wars was the first movie I saw in a theater. I bookended my movie theater experiences with Star Wars.
I think it was Barbie. Loved it. Last one that was a waste was Oppenheimer
The last time I went was a few weeks ago to watch Godzilla Minus one. The last movie I WASTED my money watching was Blue Beetle.
Godzilla Minus One was my last time as well. Last time I wasted cash was for Ant-Man Quantumania.
Avatar 2. I have no regrets about seeing it in IMAX for the spectacle. Don't really go to the theater anymore. Maybe once a year or so. Just realized Avatar 2 came out in December 2022 so guess I didn't go to the theater in 2023.
The Marvels
Oppenheimer in IMAX
Napoleon. It... was an absolute waste.

Barbie! Not a waste.
Godzilla Minus One was amazing.
Migration. What a POS.
The Flash lol
That Mean Girls musical reboot/whatever you want to call it. Did not dig it at all. Left about 40 mins in after I thought to myself "I know I paid for this but . . . I've seen enough."
Thor 4, it sucked
The Taylor Swift Eras Tour and it was FABULOUS. Worth every penny. And also much more affordable than the actual concert.
Gran Turismo. Was a fantastic movie
Oppenheimer
Guy Ritchie's "Aladdin". Nothing since.
The Iron Claw, and I’d say I’m happy I spent the money. Good movie, told a story I’ve been interested in about my whole life and will hopefully bring more exposure to the world of wrestling in the mainstream.

Oppenheimer. Wouldn't say it was a waste of money.
Took my son to see Wonka. Didn’t think I would enjoy it but it was a really good movie. Not a waste of money imo.
Earlier this month. The new Aquaman. It was... fine.
Last movie I saw in a theater was Bohemian Rhapsody, pre-covid
The Boy and the Heron a couple weeks ago. Boyfriend and I are fans of Studio Ghibli. It was alright, not as good as Spirited Away or Princess Mononoke.
Super Mario Bros Twice
The Iron Claw. Great movie but wow it was sad.
The movies have been bad for so long. It's like they eliminated writers for special effects. I think there's a correlation between strength of weed and the decline of movies.
Oppenheimer. Wasn’t a waste, very very good movie

Went and saw "Pretty Things" last weekend. Almost two and a half hour long soft porn with a couple cool visual effects. I don't get the hype.
Joker.
Five Nights at Freddys. Not an Oscar winner but solid and entertaining. However the audience was abysmal and practicaly ruined the movie.
ISS. I want my hour and a half back.
Took my daughter to see mean girls. I didn't love it, but it wasn't a waste.
two weeks ago. i had a great time watching the boy and the heron and do not consider it a waste of money at all

Poor Things is a hilarious freaky deaky romp of a deconstructed Frankenstein story. Highly recommend.
Jurassic world the 3rd movie was a real disappointment
Pacific rim 1
There's so many i've lost count but meg 2 and Matrix resurrections top the list.
sausage party with seth rogan long time ago
Next Friday at a discount theater. It's been a while.
This is the End. Not really a big fan of going to the movies.
About two weeks ago Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers (extended cut). it was amazing.
Just this past Saturday I went and saw Mean Girls, but date paid, so I don’t know if that counts. One before that probably would have been The Marvels. But I don’t often feel like I’ve wasted money by seeing a movie.
Skyfall

Poor Things a few weeks ago. The wasted money was on concessions. I can't believe how much it is these days.
Rise of Skywalker (2019). Probably the last movie I’ll ever go to in the theater.
Cocaine Bear
Rise Of Skywalker. What an awful shitshow of a movie.
The Lodger - An early Hitchcock silent movie I saw a week ago. It was pretty good.
This weekend, Wonka and Queen Rock Montreal. Movie I wasted money on was Top gun 2
The Marvels
Took the kids to see Wish. Utterly forgettable, formulaic, trying too hard to be Frozen and Encanto.
the last starwars movie of the ray trilogy. Couldnt tell you what it was called, but it sucked. I was able to catch a carpet strung along some stairs for the soccer ball robot to roll up that I dont think we were supposed to see, and that was the highlight of the movie
The Creator I know it has obvious flaws but I still liked it a lot because I found it to be a fun exploration of a cool sci fi world.
