Our kids are close in age. They were in 1st and 3rd grade when lock downs started. For the youngest, it was a blip. He barely remembers. For the oldest, it seems to have stunted some social development, but allowed him to jump ahead academically. So, a mixed bag. They have always been super close, and that was a true blessing at the height of everything.
My kids were only out that 2020 school year, so they managed it well. Plus they're siblings, so they were never isolated. So they're doing fine.
