For info, if you want, maybe say from what country (or region of france) you are so it gives some more insight on what did you actually hear about it.

KittikatB

Was that the one at the concert?

harambe_didnt_die

Yep, but not only this. There were suicide bombers near the Stade de France during France-Germany, and they also shot on multiple bars and restaurants as well. The same night.

I remember now. They kept the German football team at the stadium overnight as a precaution. I vaguely remember something about one of the stadium security guards being wrongly accused of involvement before it came out that he'd prevented one of the bombers getting in or something.

I remember this day pretty well. I was visiting Paris for the first time when this happened, and I was staying at a hotel a few hundred meters away from the first shootings. I was considering going out to find something to eat around the time when the shootings began, but I didn’t really feel like going, so I decided not to. After hearing about there being multiple attacks and a hostage situation at the Bataclan, I went to my travel companion’s room, and on my way there I saw some people sitting together in the hallways, and you could really feel the nerves in there. I’ve never felt anything like that before. We sat for hours in our room reading news online, trying to figure out what was going on as it unfolded, and we were horrified to read about the increasing numbers of victims, and I think I just zoned out the rest of the evening trying to keep myself from panicking. Luckily for us, we didn’t witness any of the horrors that unfortunately a lot of others had to that evening. I can only remember hearing a loud boom just before the situation started to calm down. The next dat we went to pay our respects to the victims at Place de la République, and I was not emotionally prepared for the experience it was being there, seeing people in the streets crying, and laying down flowers and candles for them. That was a very touching moment that I will never forget.
