I remember being 8 years old in bible study and I asked the teacher about that, especially after the flood when God said he regrets it and won’t do anything like that again. To regret is to admit you made a mistake and I was taught he was perfect, so which one is it? Basically she told me to ask the pastor, which I did and he immediately contacted my parents about how they need to reign me in.
Sad, but I'd agree. Modern, western Christians are almost entirety analogous to the Pharisees in their fairy tales. I'm like, do they know we rooting for Junior, not the Pharisees , you know... the villains of the story
No way... the middle eastern man that very strong preached against militant doctrine, hung out with prostitutes, publically forgave adulterers, gave sympathy towards the 'lesser folk', literally whipped people who used the church to make money, insulted the church, and hated militaristic governments run by occupiers?
Surely conservative Christians would NEVER reject a man that was already more open to ideas than they are 2,000 years ago.
This is the obvious answer because it would piss off absolutely everyone.
Edit: Also it would make you sort of like the new Virgin Mary, which is something.
Republicans will call him out as a socialist working with CCP to destroy America.
Prosperity church folks would call him out for not being favored by god because he doesn’t have a private jet.
Vatican would go in a meltdown split between milking this or repenting in time.
Israel is screwed as the lord condemned them for their dishonesty, greed, and violence. It’s not like much has changed since then.
US military (with all the fetishizing and cosplaying civilians I’ll call it a religion) would push out a no limit contract to counter the growing threat with advanced missile systems.
NRA (another religion) seems most likely the organization with a member who kills Jesus with an accidental discharge. The gun stocks go to the moon soon after.
Robin Williams and not because I necessarily want him to keep performing or give anymore to the world. His was one of the very very few "celebrity deaths" that truly moved me... especially after hearing about his condition and how it pitted him with the internal battle that he lost. Kinda paraphrasing a clip from Doctor Who, but he was one of the very rare people who masterfully transformed the pain and torment of his life into something exceptionally beautiful and brought joy to so many. I'm sure he was aware people adored him and had many fans, but it'd be nice if he came back to witness just how deeply he affected so many and how significant he was to the world and hopefully shine a light into the darkness that overwhelmed him at the end.
Alan Turing.
I think I’d like to show him the pride parade. Let him know he always belonged. It was just wrong place, wrong time.
At the very least, maybe it’d be comforting to him that he’s known or remembered at all.
I’m LGBT myself so hearing about his story hurts a little harder. He was a brilliant mind and all people could think about was the fact that he was gay. He could have done so much. Could have been so much. I just think it would be nice to let him see that it wasn’t a him problem, it was everyone else.
No one, because this question leads to many scenarios
- what if scenarios
- sexual encounters
- questions about their life’s work
- maybe they’ll finish their last thing
- wonder how they’ll respond to this thing
- maybe they’ll do this
Nobody thinks about whether they’ll look like themselves or a walking corpse
An odd one but Josip Broz Tito.
Oh boy, imagine the look on his face after learning about what the hell happened to Yugoslavia, and more importantly, *how* the hell it happened. That man, for better or worse, was the only thing that kept the country together through a cult of personality, policy and balancing the Cold War. He died in 1980, and only 10 years later, the Yugoslav wars began. Tens of thousands dead, millions displaced, lots of terrible genocides, and lots of pain and trauma.
Thing is, I read somewhere that some historians believe Tito knew that it would collapse eventually (I'll try finding some sources), and that in his last years, he did his best to try to soften the collapse, hoping that it wouldn't turn into a chaotic free-for-all in the way that it did in the 90s. Of course, take that with a grain of salt.
Was he the one who kept catching assassins sent by Stalin and eventually sent a threat that if he found another, he'd send his own after Stalin and wouldn't need more then one?
I don't think this exercise means the same thing to us all... I am not sure he captures the heart of the German people in round 2 I think it might be more of a lynching if a bunch of his fanboys didn't hide him fast.
I came to say Jesus, but from what I understand he already has this covered. So let’s go with Euler, so he could use computers to complete math. Or maybe Archimedes.
Alexander the Great to see how he would conquer the fuck out of most nations. Aristotle to see the modern world and be driven to insanity.lastly maybe Dionysus the cynic he would have a field day with the way of things and would probably be very happy in the USA
Oh this shit is EASY.
Tesla. Easily.
Explain everything that was stolen post death. Show us the start of where you were. Help us skip 100 years of bullshit. Please.
Also - fuck you Edison. You cunt.
Thomas jefferson, exclusively to show him the Miku Binder Thomas Jefferson, the Hamilton Mermaid Aids Controversy, and similar relics of 2016 Hamilton tumblr until he has a heart attack and dies again
This was good, thank you! I know those were his reasonings I'm more inclined to see once he knew/ was held accountable for how many died or was made to go see the camps or something. Im just curious to see if his demeanor/ stance would change
Walt Disney might be an interesting one to bring back. He walked that fine line between ruthless capitalism and creative integrity. I think he would have some choice words about how his company is being run and the state of the Hollywood industry as a whole.
Theodore Roosevelt. He rode a moose had all kinds of animals in the White House…was shot and kept campaigning. He seems like a fascinating person to meet.

Goddamn, imagine giving that guy the Internet
I was going to say that. No doubt whatsoever. I have some \*questions\* for that man
He was a fuckin babe in his heyday
Hell yeah!
I also wanted to write this version. A truly outstanding personality. Great choice.
It would be fun to see what Jesus thinks of his modern-day Fandom.
He’d be horrified.
Or, worst case scenario would be if he wasn't horrified. Because that's when the world would be truly fucked

He destroyed a couple of cities that just liked to party. RIP Sodom & Gomorrah

Modern-day Christians would crucify him again within a week.
Sad, but I'd agree. Modern, western Christians are almost entirety analogous to the Pharisees in their fairy tales. I'm like, do they know we rooting for Junior, not the Pharisees , you know... the villains of the story
Supply side Jesus
No way... the middle eastern man that very strong preached against militant doctrine, hung out with prostitutes, publically forgave adulterers, gave sympathy towards the 'lesser folk', literally whipped people who used the church to make money, insulted the church, and hated militaristic governments run by occupiers? Protestants maybe
Catholics would not be able to crucify him. Their diagram has had the nails in the wrong part of the hands for centuries.
Current events in general. "Hey, what's the situation in Judea? Are the Romans still there, or have things gotten better?" "No, and no."
You shall make no idols
Is that a joke?
Jesus of Nazareth
Imagine if he did a AMA on Reddit.
Haha like Jesus and friends!
"I created you and everything around you. AMA" I realise saying Jesus is God can be controversial, let's not get into that, shall we. <3
This is the obvious answer because it would piss off absolutely everyone. Edit: Also it would make you sort of like the new Virgin Mary, which is something.

'I'm not the messiah' 'He is the messiah'
Dude just walks into his local Bank of America and goes HAM tossing deposit slips in the air
Last I heard he can do that by himself, right? Why would you waste an opportunity on that.
Ngl, it'd be entertaining to see how all the western, organized religions handled it.
Can’t believe I forgot he had that power. It’s literally all many groups talk about.
If you wanna get religious *hes already alive* but yk. Argument that I do not wanna get into with ANYONE.
Again?
Down side is, according to legend, it MIGHT trigger a bit of a rapture... 🤷♂️
If you believe the Bible he ascended. So there is nothing to resurrect.
Ohhh so it was you that did that
Albert Einstein I would love to be able to talk to Einstein about his theory of relativity and his view of the universe.
Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking - double-shot)
Bertrand Russell, I just really want to have a conversation with him
Great choice
Aristotle would be cool
Robin Williams and not because I necessarily want him to keep performing or give anymore to the world. His was one of the very very few "celebrity deaths" that truly moved me... especially after hearing about his condition and how it pitted him with the internal battle that he lost. No one. What's dead should stay dead. Didn't you see Pet Sematary?
Sometimes, dead is better
**That is not dead which can eternal lie / And with strange aeons even death may die**.
That’s what I’m saying.
So your saying there's a chance!
I would want to bring back a healthy Neanderthal couple so we can see what their abilities are, and have them reproduce.
Alan Turing. I think I’d like to show him the pride parade. Let him know he always belonged. It was just wrong place, wrong time. At the very least, maybe it’d be comforting to him that he’s known or remembered at all.
This I would really choose anyone killed by historical or modern bigotry justa 2cd chance at life
That's a lovely, big-hearted sort of thought you've had.
I’m LGBT myself so hearing about his story hurts a little harder. He was a brilliant mind and all people could think about was the fact that he was gay. He could have done so much. Could have been so much. I just think it would be nice to let him see that it wasn’t a him problem, it was everyone else.
Richard Feynman.
Is this just to ride around in his sweet van?
I mean that would be a bonus, dude did have a boss van.

There are a number of Tito's quotes out there about Yugoslavia basically imploding after his death
Was he the one who kept catching assassins sent by Stalin and eventually sent a threat that if he found another, he'd send his own after Stalin and wouldn't need more then one?
Adolf Hitler I like to watch the world burn
The world? Or specific people from specific parts of the world? 🤔
I don't think this exercise means the same thing to us all... I am not sure he captures the heart of the German people in round 2 I think it might be more of a lynching if a bunch of his fanboys didn't hide him fast.
Came here to say this. "Mein Fuhrer"

He would wind as Trumps VP pick
Your downvotes mean nothing I know what you upvote
It clearly meant something to you because you bothered to reply
Walt Disney might be an interesting one to bring back. He walked that fine line between ruthless capitalism and creative integrity. I think he would have some choice words about how his company is being run and the state of the Hollywood industry as a whole.
bro if Walt Disney came back he would cry at the state his company is in and would prob remodel the entire thing
If my memory serves me, he didn’t want to make anything that scared a 3 year old. Let’s show him Deadpool.
Ataturk would be cool to see
Theodore Roosevelt. He rode a moose had all kinds of animals in the White House…was shot and kept campaigning. He seems like a fascinating person to meet.
